Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
susiecutiebananas · 08/04/2008 23:27

Erm... no, it was Izzy that did the poo and wee!

Just had long conversation with DH. Not long enough, seems doing a report for work was more important than saving out realtionship.

I usually just feel better for having talked to him, after even the worst times he's done this. I usually feel relieved. I don't this time, I feel worse. I know I love, and adore him, more than anything in the world. I just don't think its enough this time. the thought of us not being together, and being a family, the happy little family that we are, when we are all together, utterly devastates me. It hurts So much. But, I feel so horribly sad now. He didn't even say sorry, or feel remorse. he somehow managed to justify it in his mind, that what he's done is ok. i'm so terrified, so scared, so devastated. I just don't know what to do.

sorry guys for this. I had to write it al down. I tried to tell him, but it just got so mixed up when I tried to. he made me feel it was , and would me all my fault, and my decision. I feel guilty now. Poor Isobel.

katwith3kittens · 09/04/2008 14:04

Oh Susie .....what a difficult time for you all, but you will make a decision thats right for you all

Gosh, isn't little RB doing well, and LOL at the words he repeats. We are still at the Uh Uh grunt stage for everything, although I know he understands an awful lot of words. He's not really doing any signs either ( so that was a waste of time too )

2HHH, hope the sicky stage is over and the house smells sweetly of dettol . I bought some freescia (sp ?) the other day and the hall smells lurverly now. Its really cute as I lift LO up to smell them and he puts his nose in then kind of makes an embarrased or shy face, don't know what he makes of them.

Sorry, just have to mention the mooncup again, and I know the thought of it is icky, but I'm really really pleased with it, its no more horrid than a tampon !

I think the real reason I'm pleased with it is that after having 3 kids Im amazed and absolutely delighted that my fanjo can hold it in I was expecting it to just drop out with a thud on the bathroom floor when I stood up !!!!

katwith3kittens · 09/04/2008 14:07

Aaaaghh..... the flapjacks I've just made are now all burnt

laughalot · 09/04/2008 15:13

New pics on profile

susiecutiebananas · 09/04/2008 16:31

Awww, they are lovely pics! All the girls have the same kid of look abbout them at the moment IYSWIM? ALthoguh, they all seem to have oodles more hair than Izzy! She's just got a wild mop of red hair at the back, a little at the sides, and she's trying to grow some at the front, which is not really happening! Think, Backwards short Mullet!

eandh · 09/04/2008 19:01

Oh no Susie - just when it seemed to be getting better just looked ta your profile pics I dont know why but I thought you'd have dark hair and dh would have a stubble/small beard got that wrong didnt I!!

Lal - gorgeous pics - Hattie had bunches today (And they stayed in all day!)

Kat - oh no were the flajacks edible?

Had a lovely day popped to town to get Ellie new shoes and its best mates ds 1st birthday at weekend and like most 2nd children he has so much so have got him vouchers for his first pair of walking shoes.

Came home and HAttie slept 11-12.15 made cheese on toast and she ate the lot then we've been outside all afternoon as its been so lovely hot and sunny, Ellie finally grasped riding her bike so been up and down the shared driveway we have (taught her how to turn around to save me having to do it , Hattie kept trying to run off so got the ball out and she was chasing that, DH home at 2.30 (meant to be his day off!) so we all went for a walk to the park then dinner, bath and bed. They look so cute as they've got lovely rosy cheeks from being outside all afternoon I can't wait for the summer

Had a tarrot reading from anothe Mumsnetter and it was spookily true in places, I may email her to ask one more question can't decide whether I want to know the answer though

susiecutiebananas · 09/04/2008 20:47

HI E&H It is funny what your mental picture is of people hey!

I have blonde/red hair, Mr C is 6ft3 ish with very cleanly shaven face...gorgeous and handsome. Never lets his stubble grow. He has quite red side burns, when they grow a bit, as is his beard. Izzy gets her red hair from both of us

Hmm, I also thought things were getting better. feeling very sad. Still not spoken properly.

MrsCarrot · 09/04/2008 20:51

Hello - I have been away and then lost the thread. Are you all ok?

F has started to wake up A Lot, I may have to be radical.

susiecutiebananas · 09/04/2008 21:44

Hello you! Really really nice to see you

After being me smug about cracking Izzy's sleeping, with a much softer nicer form of CC, she reverted BIG time to night waking recently... was about to be in total despair again and my mum noticed 2 pre molars poking through > She's got a few others too.. so was just wondering, is there anything like that going on got F?

Otherwise, go for it, be radical! try my sleep training plan, ( ask away if you want to ) truly works

How are you doing, apart from sleepless nights? Any progress with hospital and treatment and things like that? Really really been thinkig of you, you know, sending such positive, healing vibes your way.

ratbunny · 09/04/2008 22:51

just a quick post
susie - feel so for you. your dh does sound a bit of an arse though! he really needs to see how impotant you and izzy are. I cant understand how he can think its ok to not call etc. I hope you work it out - you sound too good for him to lose And really, call me anytime you like. I;m here to support you, like you did me!

I have a shiny new (work) laptop. It is very fast and widescreen, and dh kindly transferred all of my stuff across, as I really couldnt be arsed! But the keys are in slightly places, and the curosr keeps jumping to the middle of the last paragraph!!!! ARggghhh!!!!

dh and I went to RELATE today. It was very weird, very helpful, and very nice that we both looked at each other all the way through making 'this is weird' faces at each other. I think it will really help.

Love to you all!!!

And great to see you MrsC.

ratbunny · 09/04/2008 22:52

that should be
the keys are in slightly different places.

Bloody went back and erased the word somehow! Bloody keys lol

[must stop swearing emoticon]

eandh · 10/04/2008 15:08

Quiet today, had a crap night with Hattie and now she is tired and whingy. DH just got home so I can get ready to go out soon (am off to London to see Dirty Dancing, we're (work people) eating in local town first at 5pm then limo up to the theatre, am looking forward to it but may have to snooze on the way home

MrsCarrot · 10/04/2008 16:25

Doing ok, thanks, have the op in three weeks. Seems like ages but I guess it's not that long. There was a cancellation but I was ok, probably best to have bit more time to get used to the idea anyway.

I wondered if it might be teeth, his bottom is very sore but I can't see any yet. I will hold fire on any radical plans and see if it settles down. Not sure how he will be when I am in hospital either.

susiecutiebananas · 10/04/2008 18:47

Oh, best of luck with the Op MrsC. 3 weeks is a good amount of time to really get your head around it all, and be properly prepared.. it will fly by too, I think you'll find

Maybe it would be worth the sleep training before you go in. That way,he'll be much more settled, and have good sleep routine before you are away.. plus when you are back, you wil need rest and sleep, would help you then, if sleeping through consistently.Just a thought

Lizzzombie · 10/04/2008 18:51

eah - a limo!! get you! thanks for the photo comments too! I can't load up any photos onto MN at the moment, its really annoying as DJ is being ultra cute!

Mrs C - big hugs to you xxxx what else you been up to?

Does anyone else watch freaky eaters on BBC3? I was zonking out in front of the tv yesterday and it was on, and the woman was addicted to cheese. Really badly. In that she ate it at every meal and not alot else. Since watching it though, I've eaten nearly half a block of cheese (that'll be a FAMILY sized block). I've always had a penchant for cheese, but its gotten out of hand since watching this programme. Help!

MrsCarrot · 10/04/2008 19:13

Um, we went to Herefordshire for a week, that waas great apart fromd DH losing the car key in the middle of nowhere. I was there when they rang with the cancellation but maybe it's for the best

Susie - that could work but it also could be a bit much, suddenly doing something very different and then me being away. I keep swaying, I'm not sure really. Not sure I have the energy for seeing through anything like sleep training atm. Also there is no room for him, we have to do a big reshuffle, maybe convert the loft. Nothing instant anyway.

susiecutiebananas · 10/04/2008 20:52

news flash *

Isobel walked the length of the sitting room today! So pleased! I didn't notice at first, as was i kitchen, then caught her in he corner of my eye. She was desperately trying to get me to watch, so kept going I think. Eventually, she sat down, paused, looked at me, and clapped her self, with a kind of, oh well, i do it my self look about her. She was SO pleased with her self, as was I of course

since then, she's been pottering around on 2 legs on and off, and on her knees, upright, walking on her knees - she does this especially if she wants to carry something

Left her in bathroom, watching it fill up for less than 1 minute, whilst I got the towels. Came back to find a huge pile of clothes, all in the bath. Along with toothpaste, loo rolls x 3, and all of MR C's shaving things. She looked up at me and said bup? ( her word for bath) pointing to all the things she's chucked in, all happy and smiling at her work! Bless her, funny girl.

SmoothandWilkie · 10/04/2008 20:56

Sorry guys, been away for a few days at mums and can't keep up with all the talk.

Susie - hope you are holding up whilst things are difficult with you and DH

MrsC - great to see you back.

Rat - glad you went to Relate. When is your next session

CAN I ASK A Q ABOUT NURSERY?
I was always really anti-nursery, hence why I chose a CM. Just a personal choice but I really struggle with leaving J at nursery. I just feel that he it TOO young and would be better with 1:1 care. He screams and cries when I leave him there and is quite unsttled during the day. I feel a bit annoyed that he doesn't seem to be getting the 1:1 with his keyworker and that I always hand him over to a different person every morning.

Do you think I would be better transferring him to a CM? It breaks my heart leaving him crying every morning and I am dreading tomorrow when he goes.

ratbunny · 10/04/2008 23:32

Wilkie - I was wondering where you were! And if nursery isnt right for you both, then why not try a CM? how is he when you leave him?

mrs c - s gets like that when teething. especially the sore bum. hope you manage to sort out a good nights sleep!

susie - well done izzy!

lizz - pmsl at the cheese!

and hi to everyone I missed out.

s has become obsessed with wheeled vehicles. at toddler group today, he was listening to the story about the animals, then suddenly leapt off the floor, literally RAN across the circle, pointed at the book and shouted 'gah'. It was a tractor . And he was kind of caressing the wheels of a trolley rather than join in the singing. the boy is weird.

anyone else getting tantrums? whenever I take something off him, or he gets frustrated s has a paddy. he tends to bang his head on things deliberately . I did say he was weird didnt I?

eandh · 11/04/2008 09:23

Morning

Mrs C - I was on facebook and saw someone say about car keys and couldnt think who it was on MN!

Wilkie - maybe speak to nursery if not def trf to cm

Susie - well done to Izzy what a clever little girl (pmsl at the things dumped in the bath!)

Lizz - the limo was 45 minutes late I was not happy, going to ring in a minute to get soem money back as we were 5 mons late getting to theatre but couldnt got to our seats for 20mins as had to wait for suitable break in performance was really good but am knackered this morning and had to get up to come to work. DH let the girls stay up apparently Ellie put herself to bed at 7pm (she didnt want him to read a story because its 'mummys' job and she just shouted down that she was going to sleep. hattie stayed up till 9pm watching golf with him apparently everytime they putted she clapped (he cant do controlled crying hence her being up so late!)

Rat - Hattie tantrums normally means flinging herself on the floor and kicking her legs whilst looking to see if anyone watching her, its very much what Ellie does so I know where she gets it from, she does not like the word 'No' so invariably causes a tantrum.

We have stopped giving her a dummy in the day now (except nap times) and she doesnt seemed that bothered so am aiming to be rid of the dummy at sleep times by the end of summer ( remembers saying that with Ellie and she was 2.8 before we did it )

wilkie - DJ too ages to settle into nursery. Even now he still cries for a few minutes when I drop him off. Boys apparently take longer to adjust to it. But, I was able to ease him in really gently leave him for longer and longer periods until the nursery were happy they could confidently settle him.
Two nursery staff who regulary care for him have recently left but he seems content to be cuddled by any member of staff there so I am not too worried.
How many sessions did you sit in with him for prior to leaving him? And did you leave him for a full session straight away? - I worked up to a full session, and even now they reckon he couldn't handle a full day. (great!)

laughalot · 11/04/2008 13:15

Thanks pcf xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

katwith3kittens · 11/04/2008 17:39

Wilkie. I used a nursery. I didnt even think about CM. Dont know why really.... just suited me better.

Do you like your nursery ? Is there a nice feeling when you are in there ? LO's do cry when you leave but they stop (or should do ) soon after.

The lady who ran the nursery was lovely. So lovely that I still send her Christmas cards 5 years on with a pic of the eldest two (saddo or what ???.... no dont answer that ). When we were there she got married for the second time and because all the children were important to her she invited all the children to the day. It was at a castle in Cheshire, and one of the parents had a horse drawn carriage that the children could all ride round the grounds in. We (all the parents)were all involved in the preparations, the little boys wore green elf kind of costumes and the girls were flower fairies. Most of the parents helped make the costumes and headresses in the weeks leading up. To top it all, all the nursery children practiced and sang during the service 'all things bright and beautiful'. It was the best wedding I have ever been too. It was fantastic day. So I guess I have happy memories of my nursery. If I still lived there I would use it again..... hmmmm would have to find a job ....perhaps not then !

PMSL about the cheese..... we go through so much gruyere in this house as LO adores it ....maybe he'll be on freaky eaters in 20 years time ?

Lizzzombie · 11/04/2008 18:33

Kat - that wedding sounds amazing! Not sure if I could cope with that many children in one place! Am thinking of hiring a bouncy castle and just locking them all in there when I get married. (and chucking bits of cake at them every now and then!)
