Girls in bed fast asleep and crappy tv, am debating about going to bed

Went shopping on my own today got 3 pairs of jeans (same pair 2 blue 1 black but they fit fantastically!) 5 tops/blouses, flat canvas shoes, belt, ordered a lightweight jacket

katwith3kittens · 19/04/2008 21:20

Wow ! .... you are keeping this economy going arent you

ratbunny · 20/04/2008 21:32

loads of catching up to do - I'll try my best..
susie - I take it dh came back when he said he would? I hope you all had a good time.
eah - pmsl at your cheerleaders! I want my own team too - I just get this weird ratbunny creature when I google my name
pcf - I am really impressed with your kitchen treadmill!
wilkie - keep us posted on the jobs..

We had a good weekend. On saturday we dropped s off with nana, and dh and I went...wait for it... to an abandoned asylum! we couldnt get in to the main building, but we got into some old buildings, and they were really creepy. great fun!
then today we went to a christening. S sat still in church for about 5 mins, then got bored with the tractor book, brummed his car up the coat of the lady in front, then started bouncing on the kneeling rest. So I took him to the back of the church, where we found some bags of toys (great idea!) and he was happily running about chasing cars when we looked up and the entire clergy were waiting to get past us to the font behind us . we were apparently a bit engrossed!
but he behaved so well, I was really proud! Not so proud of my swearing in a church when I realised what was going on!

susiecutiebananas · 20/04/2008 22:44

Hello everyone

Rat: I'm SO sorry I didn't reply to your text. I remember reading it, couldn't reply at the time, so made mental note to reply today. Seems I forgot.. Glad S was a good boy in church! It can be so difficult when LO's get bored ,as their noise levels are loud and echo!

As for Mr Cutie, he didn't answer to me all day friday or after work. I called him saturday am to find out if he was coming home as we had friends for lunch.
He just went on and on about his terrible week at work. How he doesn't want to go to CHina now, and no-one can go in his place... Nothing about me, nothing about how badly hes treated me yet again... anyway, I got V close to saying it was over.

I basically told him that if he didn't come home, I couldnt guarantee he would have us to come home to anymore He said he'd call on the way, and I heard nothing from him still, by half 4ish. I started to cry, izzy came and cuddled me, and pushed my tears out of the way, very carefully with her stubby fingers

Eventually, he turned up, with no warning, saying he wanted to surprise me After i got over feeling angry and upset, it was nice to see him.

Anyway, we talked more, and ended up having a nice eve and up until this eve. Went shopping, spent lots of his money!

Laughalot, we've not been to a birthday party for ages! I love childrens parties such a good laugh!

Lizzz, Sorry, it was the rules! Had to post the first image that came up for your name. MIne was a strange witchy woman!

E&H Where were the clothes from? I need a good pair of jeans that fit well! mine are either too tight, or fall down... really annoying! I've got 3 pairs of my fav jeans in the cupboard, I can't get into them

We bought Isobel some clothes from next. Was a bit disappointed y what they had there. Usually really good. Just everything was purple or really lurid colours. He's left his bank card, so we can do some more clothes shopping in the week Maybe for me too?!

He's gone off with a very long duty free list! He promises he will get everything on the list! Perfume x 2 a selection of clarins things, and the largest bottle of bailys he can find

eandh · 21/04/2008 07:20

Rat - sounds as if you had fun glad things are working out for you

Susie - just read your mammouth text will reply when I am on the bus going to work Re clothes for Izzy do you have a Matalan near you they have some lovely bits in their summer range, lots of spots and stripes (gorgeous red and white check summer dress with red bolero cardigan and little leggings and smock tops in pink) and shorts/tshirts for reasonable prices

I got my jeans from M&S on recommendation form some Mnetters on the style threads, they are 'on the waist' dark blue bootcut but they come in short, regular and long and normally I am between short and regular length but short are a perfect length. They fit so well around my tummy and bum and I dont get that huge gap thing on my back (and they dont expose half of my bum when I bed down) I cant find them on their website (well I can see one pair at £19.50 but they dont look like mine)

Finally Laughalots and mine 1st week on weightwatchers and I have lost ......................5lb so I am like a looney at the mo (and realised that I must have been eating alot previously!)

Lizzzombie · 21/04/2008 09:48

eah - 5lbs! thats fabulous.
I've decided that for the entire month of may I am not eating bread or cheese. which are they main crux of my entire diet. So, by the time we go on holiday I will be thin. I will have to binge like a mad woman for the next few days to prepare myself!

Lizzzombie · 21/04/2008 09:49

ps - susie. Hope you have fun shopping this week. I've seen a really nice denim skirt in Dorothy Perkins which I am treating myself to.

SmoothandWilkie · 21/04/2008 10:33

Stumbles onto thread with matchsticks propping open her eyes...

J was puking all night, started at 12. Ugh. Minging. So am at home instead of work.

Rat - glad things seem to be getting better with DH. How are you feeling about it all?

Susie - not sure how you put up with it. I would've been outta there a long time ago!

EAH - massive (!!) congrats on weight loss! That's brill. LAL - how have you done?

Lizz - MMmmmmmmm warm bread baguette, butter and cheese....never have it but is my fave thing in the whole wide world!!! The Core Plan doesn't allow bread or cheese which I am certain is part of the reason for it's success.

Lizzzombie · 21/04/2008 10:37

wilkie - you are evil1
I have my WW cook book at the ready and will abide by it every day for a month. That - and the Carol Vordeman one. Basically, my plan is to eat foods which make me poo. Poo myself thin. Y'know?

Do you ever find yourself binging out a bit on foods you love though?

Lizzzombie · 21/04/2008 10:37

doh - meant to also type - poor you and poor J. Hope he is better today.

SmoothandWilkie · 21/04/2008 11:43

Binging? Moi? NEVER! It wasn't me that tore into J's Milky Way easter egg last night and ate the lot....no siree!!

Prob with me and dieting is that I diet until I am the weight I want then I kind of think oh f*ck it, I've reached my target - let's nosh! Then stack some weight back on and so the cycle begins again.....

Although we went to see Jimmy Carr on Saturday with two mates I haven't seen for about 3 months. I had poured myself into my skinny jeans and the male mate said 'Bloody Hell Wilkie, don't they have food in Huddersfield! You are so slim!!!' I could have snogged him there and then but his wife is my BF and I didn't think she'd appreciate it Made me feel good enough to eat the easter egg!!

eandh · 21/04/2008 11:52

Thats why I can't do core as I have to have bread points have been super easy and had a chinese on friday night!

Hows J now Wilkie? (obviously you ate the easter egg as he is poorly and cannot managed it ) Laughalot has doen better than me but I'll let her post her amount! Sounds like a fab comment from your friends DH, my MIL said I looke ddifferent yesterday but I think she meant my skin/hair as its changed already plus I have loads more energy. Am going to be good and get a jacket potato for lunch

Lizz - I have found since last week my poo's have gone up in numbers at least 2 a day am sure its part of the sucess.

My boss is peeing me off today she shouted at me (later apaologised it wasnt my fault) I've been sent to get coffees and lunch and now she has given me her new blackberry to set up (WTF I dont have a clue and it doesnt even say in the book how to turn the friggin thing on!)

laughalot · 21/04/2008 12:44

I wanted a jacket spud and they didnt have any so had egg sarnie and am now munching my way through a ounnet of strawberries!!

Lizzzombie · 21/04/2008 13:40

7lbs!!! Thats fabulous LAL! Well done.
Am about to set off and walk up the seafront to Matlan to see if I ca find any bargains. Its a 3mile walk each way, so I should easily walk off my cheese sandwich!

I wasnt going to get DJ a trunki, as he has no luggage allowence as he is still an infant. When/if (!) we ever go on holiday again I will though, as I can def see the benefits.

Right. Off for bracing walk now. See you later.

Eah - poor you I hate evil bosses. I find voodoo in my head on them works wonders! If I ever get to a position of authority I will be the best boss ever, as I've had so many evil ones!

laughalot · 21/04/2008 15:28

Oh yes what a knob head lizz I told you that aswell the other day that he had no allowance.

Lizzzombie · 21/04/2008 16:45

Just got back from Asda and Matlan.
Asda has some lovely little girls clothes. All bright cottons embriodered in a folky kid of style. Really pretty. Boys stuff was same old same old though.
Matlan has some nice summer dresses for ladies - but they are all for women with small boobs, so I won't be getting any!

SmoothandWilkie · 21/04/2008 16:57

Have been puked on TWICE, it's just not funny anymore. Then, I stupidly took his nappy off, popped upstairs to get another, got distracted, 10 minutes later J climbs upstairs and runs towards me holding out his hands. I inspect closer - they are COVERED in shit, along with his top, side of his face, hair and both feet. I grab him, stick him in the bath and go inspect the damage. There is a pile of diahorra poo on the cream, rented house, lounge carpet, and little poo footprints and handprints all the way up the stairs, across the landing and on the door frame. F.U.C.K.

Luckily it all came off, I bath him, get him downstairs all sweet smelling and he promptly barfs all over me, himself and the settee and then laughs.

Fast forward an hour, we are all changed, sweet smelling when he barfs AT ME in the kitchen and managed to cover mine and his trousers and feet.

I HATE SICK!

LAL - WOW that is fantastic mate. Well done.

EAH - yes but I like core cos you get 21 points allowance per week too so I can still have naughty food Points just didn't work for me I was starving and mardy all the time.

Have joined Netmums! Their meet up section is loads better than MN.

Dragonhart · 21/04/2008 19:05

Hi all! Sorry it has been so long. The time seems to have flown and I didnt realise how long it had been since I wrote a message.

We are well. MIL has been very ill so we have been back and forth for the last month or so. They live 4 hours drive away so it's a bit of a trek but it chears her up to see Ruth and Luke so we have been making the effort.

I have had both scans and they went well. Had the second 20wk one a couple of weeks ago and all was fine as far as they could tell. Luke and Ruth came and they were very good. Not sure how interested Luke was tho as he did a massive yawn in the middle of it! She showed him all the different parts of the baby which he loved and when we came out, he said 'shall we get the baby out now'! Had to tell him he would have to wait a long time to see the baby. THink he got confused because we kept saying he could see the baby at the scan!

Sorry I havent really caught up with you all so hope everything is ok. Well done on all the weight loss though.

Dragonhart · 21/04/2008 19:07

Hope J is better soon Wilkie.

SmoothandWilkie · 21/04/2008 19:24

DH - so nice to have you back! Did you find out the sex? Sorry to hear about your MIL

J is asleep - for how long though is another matter!

eandh · 21/04/2008 19:49

Evening

Wilkie - at poor little J (oh and a bit for you being puked on )

Dragon - lovely to hear from you

Lizz - I got the cornflower blue top for Ellie and the vivid green one for HAttie that you described from Asda (they have white gypsey skirts they'll look lovely with)

Friggin Hattie still not asleep she is a pita lately either falls asleep at 5.30 and gets up at 5am or we put her to bed at 6-6.15 ans she screams till 7.30-8. Bizarrely she has got a very back tooth that is through, Ellie was 2.3 before she got those teeth

Lizzzombie · 21/04/2008 20:51

Dragon! I had no idea you were that far along already. Gosh, it seems like only yesterday we were going for our 20 wk scan. How exciting! So...did you get told what flavour its going to be?!?

eah I am soooooooo !! Those little tops are adorable. Do think they would be a bit too girly for a boy?! !? I got DJ two little all in one sleep suits for the hand luggage, in case we get our suitcases lost, they can double as outfits or sleep suits.

Wilkie - O M G you poor thing. I would not be able to cope with that. I reckon I'd be loosing extra lbs from puking up after cleaning up shit etc. Fingers crossed he is empty now. Have you any idea what it could have been?

Forgot to say. We took DJ to Drusillas yesterday. Using the free Tescos vouchers! Mega bargain. Would have been over £25 but was FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! He loved it. Its really good there. The little monkeys are so cute.
btw...has anyone seen LTH on here recently? Hope she is ok. (thinking of little monkies!)

eandh · 21/04/2008 20:54

LTH was posting on another thread earlier

I am radio ones big weekend is in Maidstone (in fact the park that I take E&H too) and Madonna, Usher, The Kooks, Nelly and loads more are the guests, I have registered for tickets and it says majority go to local residents so fingers crossed (although DH would hate it but will find someone to go with me!)
