No not having a life I promise!
Doing houseworky type stuff this afternoon then we had a nice family nap. DH has hurt his back which apparently makes it essential he sleeps in the afternoon
T has slept much better for about 4 nights now (will since our night of uncontrollable screaming hell) - asleep fairly easily and stays that way (barring a couple of nights where he has been disturbed before we go to bed) until about 5am or even later! Then I'm happy for him to come into our bed. How has N been?
I don't get your new name, please explain! Enjoy the cinema

CaptainDippy · 30/03/2008 19:31

Please help me. I think I might damamge DD1 if she doesn't stop screaming soon.

CaptainDippy · 30/03/2008 19:35

damage

Pesha · 30/03/2008 19:36

Oh Dippy Is there somewhere safe you can leave her for 5 minutes, maybe shut her in her room, so you can go and sit down and calm down? Maybe go and sit in garden so you cant hear? Strap P in highchair/pushchair/cot so you know shes safe if she not asleep already?

CaptainDippy · 30/03/2008 19:41

Sadly she shares a room with DD2 so was keeping her awake P is asleep (miraculously) I called my BF and made her talk to me til the screaming stopped - Hoping that is the end of it. Thank you Pesha. xx

StealthPolarBear · 30/03/2008 19:42

CaptainDippy · 30/03/2008 19:45

Pesha · 30/03/2008 19:47

elkiedee · 30/03/2008 20:15

Sorry Dippy that you had such a difficult bedtime to deal with.

Sexonlegs · 30/03/2008 20:21

Hi all, hope everyone is well.

GMM, a huge congratulations to you and your dp! Gorgeous ring !

Runy, delighted to hear W is home and that he is on the mend. Hope you can all get some rest now.

Dippy, God I remember the nights when B used to just scream. It was when dh used to work away a couple of nights a week every week. I remember being on the phone to him just crying. Do you know what's bothering her?
Hope you are ok

Caz, sorry about your period. Mine have been awful since having K which is why I started taking the POP. Threw them in the bin on Friday as I had been bleeding for 2 weeks!! Being a woman is a pita!

Oooggs, a belated birthday greeting to J and E. I hope you had a lovely day.

Maveta, glad you enjoyed your free time - cleaning the patio You make me laugh!

Pesha, exciting news re the house swap!

Hi Dooby, Ange, SPB, NL, Elkie, POTC and everyone else.

Had a great weekend at my parents and both girls were on top form. K seems to have given up her naps in her cot though which is a pita. Hoping it is a blip.... She is still with mum and dad as they are looking after her tomorrow whilst I am at work. I am missing her so much. Every time I think about her I well up!

B isn't missing her one bit! Poor lamb has a bit of a funny tummy. Hoping she will be fine as I really cannot afford to take more time off work.

Pesha · 30/03/2008 20:24

Hi Eca - how are you?

And bugger bum, completely forgot to say congrats to you GM Sorry

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE the ring!

oooggs · 30/03/2008 20:31

gmm - the ring is lovely how exciting

I am thinking of putting dd & ds1 in together for a few nights. ds2 is being a pita and when he starts we tend to pull him out and put in our bed or travel cot in our room - he is always getting his way. I only move him cos of waking dd.

So I thought if dd & ds1 in together then ds2 could create all he liked and I could just do cc. What do you think?

NorthernLurker · 30/03/2008 20:34

Have had a horrible shock this evening. I was hoovering upstairs, heard a sound and turned to see B just crawling up the top stair - alone!!!! She had been downstairs with dh, the living room door was shut but she can persuade it open. The stairgate wasn't shut (my fault) because I had a load of washing in the hall and dh - who is feling a bit under the weather - had fallen asleep!

I shot across the room and grabbed her as she wobbled on the edge. It was terrifying, she could so easily have fallen To give you some persepective on this - we have twelves steps, our stairs are, I learnt from the surveyor last week, at a 50% angle. The modern standard is 42%. They are quite narrow - had she fallen she would have hit her head on the walls on the way down. Total height from the top to the bottom is probably around 12 feet. She could quite easily have been killed. I haven't stopped shaking yet and I'm so angry with myself for not shutting the blithering gate.

Ladies - if you have a gate - shut it! If you haven't got one yet - go get one now!!!

penpotEca · 30/03/2008 20:39

hi pesha, I'm doing ok. Everything's feeling a bit numb today. We're just waiting to hear when the funeral is.

penpotEca · 30/03/2008 20:40

NL That sounds scary!! So glad she is ok xx

NorthernLurker · 30/03/2008 20:43

Thanks Eca. Hope you hear about the funeral soon and can make some plans. Praying for you all - so awful

oooggs · 30/03/2008 20:43

blimey NL glad she is ok - how about you?

oh eca waiting is hard too

Sexonlegs · 30/03/2008 20:46

Flippin heck NL. You ok? What a fright.
Reminded me I need to empty the washing machine.

Hi Eca

AngeG · 30/03/2008 20:46

Hello

Maveta - Hope you have a good time this evening!

Dippy - Sorry DD1 has been playing up. Hope she's all settled now. at DH being away again.

Pesha - Sorry don't know why lost isn't on tonight.

Eca - Good to 'see' you. Have been thinking and praying for you.

SOL - Glad you had a good time at your parents. I had exactly the same happen when I took the POP, bled pretty much constantly for 3 weeks. Hope B ok for work tomorrow.

Oooggs - I think it's worth a try. You can also move her back if it doesn't work.

NL - How scary for you. Glad she is ok. Sounds like a stiff drink is in order.

Nothing exciting happening here. Izzy in bed asleep. J still awake. DH watching something with Ross Kemp in it. I have such an exciting life!

NorthernLurker · 30/03/2008 20:46

I'm pretty shaky tbh oooggs. After I grabbed her I just sat for a minute and then burst into tears!

CaptainDippy · 30/03/2008 20:47

{{{{NL}}}} I am sure she would have been fine sweetie - babies are surprisingly resiliant little things, you know! It is frightening thinking about the "what if's" but it wasn't anyone's fault, it was just one of those things and she wasn't hurt. xx
