No I know she's ok but - it was very scary! I've got used to our steep stairs but everyone who visits always comments on them!

Pesha · 30/03/2008 20:50

Eca - it must be so hard. I'm rubbish at saying what I want but I am thinking of you.

Oooggs - sounds like a very good idea to me.

NL - How scary for you. B is fine though, she could have fallen but she didnt, she is completely fine and happy and has no idea what just happened and you have just had a very important reminder. This was a good thing, its presumably shocked you enough to ensure you always shut your stair gate with no harm coming to anyone (except possibly a couple years off your life! ) and now none will And I know loads of dc who have fallen downstairs and been fine and even more who have done as B and come very close and terrified their parents. Try not to Dont feel bad about it

I put my stair gate up yesterday when D discovered the stairs although I dont think he could actually climb them yet. Getting dc and J to remember to shut it everytime is another matter though

Pesha · 30/03/2008 20:51

Sorry I went off on one a bit there didnt I?!

NorthernLurker · 30/03/2008 20:55

all good points though Pesha! Thanks

cazboldy · 30/03/2008 21:05

she was probably really pleased with herself - I know Molly is whenever she does something naughty!

Charlie was shouting me earlier...... something along the lines of "Come mummy, help Charlie Mummy" and when I went to him he was standing on the worktop!

cazboldy · 30/03/2008 21:05

He had climbed up there from his bike

Sexonlegs · 30/03/2008 21:09

My God Caz! You need eyes in the back of your head don't you?

Why is there nothing on tv to watch?????

WestCountryLass · 30/03/2008 21:14

Sorry for being AWOL of late.

That virus I had when my eardrum perforated knocked me for six and I am still feeling very tired. What with that and Leos birthday and then his naming ceremony and birthday party this weekend I have been running around like a headless chicken.

It was Leos birthday on Tuesday and since then I have been either cooking and shopping for the party but it was brilliant and worth it.

We had 30 kids from 1-6 and 45 adults at the party. The whole day had a Mickey Mouse theme and we had a bouncey castle and ball pool and pinata. The family and close friends came half an hour earlier for the naming ceremony and then the other party guests came for the kids party bit. It was so hectic!

So today I have been cleaning and sorting out the lounge for space for all his pressies as he got loads of stuff! And the little fella got loads of dosh for his bank account too, lucky devil! One really sweet pressie is a Charlie from Charlie and Lola cup taht says "I cannot eat more than 10 biscuits....10 biscuits is enough".

Hopefully next week I can catch up on all the messages before the other two are on school holidays for 2 weeks. I will try anyway!!!!!

mammyjo · 30/03/2008 21:15

Lol at him being on the worktop Caz!!

Runny, so pleased that J got into the school you wanted for him

GMM, that ring is beautiful

Mamiguay, enjoy the film!

Pesha, lost isnt on because of the writer's strike in Hollywood. It said after last weeks episode that they were having a few weeks off. Don't get it really as I thought the series was filmed ages ago anyway

NL, can totally understand why you were scared, but as others have said, she wasn't hurt and that is definitely the best outcome so don't make yourself feel bad about it

Eca, lovely to see you on here, thinking of you xxxx

Oooggs, didnt make it on yesterday, but hope you, dh, ds1 and the birthday boy and girl had a lovely day!

I am exhausted. Went back to the GP 10 days ago as I had been having a period for over a fortnight on my new pill. She said I had best try to ride it out as things would settle down. They did for a week, but the bleeding has now restarted. Not sure whether I am anaemic, am exhausted, pale, short of breath at times and getting nasty headaches. All classic anaemia symptoms so hoping that is all it is. I had a blood test last week, so just have to wait to get the result back.
It also looks like I have arthritis in my fingers as my joints are starting to swell and are sore at times. Have had a blood test for that too I reckon if I was an animal I would have been put down long ago

Doobydoo · 30/03/2008 21:15

God Poor you NL.Try not to go crazy torturing yourself. You might get flash backs. But please don't give yourself a hard time.

Eddas · 30/03/2008 21:16

caz/nl you have very naughty children glad they are ok. NL, ditto pesha's post not your fault at all, but scared the wotsit out of you of course

Eca, nice to see you. Been thinking of you

CD, hope dd1 has settled. My dd is the same age so I know how they can be {{hugs}}

Hi everyone else

so, what's everyone doing tonight?

Sexonlegs · 30/03/2008 21:19

MJ, what pill were you on? I was saying in my post earlier that I have had exactly the same problem. Started it 2 weeks ago and bled ever since. Threw them in the bin on Friday! Also felt like I was premenstrual the whole time - incredibly grumpy, and bloody exhausted!

Hi Eddas. I am on MN and Facebook. I am now hooked on FB - dh will never see me again

mammyjo · 30/03/2008 21:19

Hi Eddas, how is the diet? Mine has been really bad for too many days now. Have just done my tesco order and have put in loads of fruit! Really must get back on the wagon this week as I dont want to undo all my good work!!

oooggs · 30/03/2008 21:19

anyway I have uploaded new photos on profile - mostly from this week

mammyjo · 30/03/2008 21:20

SOL, I am on Cerazette which I think is the one you were talking about a while back. Am waiting for my blood results and then am planning yet another GP visit as I cannot go on like this.

oooggs · 30/03/2008 21:21

mammyjo · 30/03/2008 21:23

You are welcome! I knew I wouldn't make it on here yesterday to send birthday wishes as we were out the whole day.

Sexonlegs · 30/03/2008 21:26

Oooggs, the photos are absolutely lovely!

MJ, I was on Cerazette until Friday I too will be returning to the GP. My GP keeps pushing for the coil.
