what happened to textual kicks up the arse if I was AWOL???

been very down, the broken nose didn't help, nor did M not going to daddy's this weekend, or me taking holiday from work so not been in since Wednesday (I don't do SAHM well!).

Bit better now, and just started my period so am starting to think this feeling low might be related, the joys of being a woman eh?

haven't caught up but have skimmed, and have been texting Pesha. I shall now be working hard to convince her that she really wants to move somewhere much quieter, like say, Suffolk

Here's post from other thread .....

Hey guys! Doing some work while DH takes older 2 shopping and P is napping ......

In response to your Q's ...... outlaws had older 2 the night before last overnight. I was soooo pleased and thrilled. DH and I had a lovely long lie-in and relaxed, helped a lot by the fact P didn't wake up til almost lunchtime ; but, as always, nothing can ever be straight-forward when the outlaws are involved .....As well as phoning us at 9am to tell us it was cold ; we were supposed to be meeting them (and older 2)at a pub for lunch along with SIL and BIL. Just before lunchtime, outlaws turn up with girls because DD2 is screaming and won't stop (she later tells us that FIL wouldn't let her walk to the car after church and that he shouted at her ) All she wanted was her dummy, which was at outlaws house So I give them a rather frosty reception and outlaws say they will meet us at pub. So we pile all the girls into car and set off for pub. When we get there, older 2 asleep in car, completely knackered and no sign of outlaws We call MIL who tells us she's dropped FIL at home because he needs some peace and quiet and that he can't cope with the girls. Argh!!! It's only overnight FFS. You would think they were about 80 years old they way they carry on. I know they have had their children and that it is their time to relax etc now; but I just get so and about the fact that they can't just have them for a day or so and just get on with it .... does that make any sense!!? The way they moan, you'd think we'd left the girls with them and gone on a 2 week cruise. I just don't get it.

Rant over ......

Octo -like Caz's Molly, P is super speed commando crawling and I think that is the way she is going to stay tbh. She's pulling herself up a bit now so perhaps she'll just commando crawl and then walk!!!?

Job's are going well, which reminds me, best crack on ......

Thank you for new thread, E - How is the nose?? xx

AngeG · 24/03/2008 11:15

Good to see you Ellie. Sorry you've been down and sorry I haven't text

Sorry about PIL Dippy. At least they had girls for a bit though!

Back later xx

weeonion · 24/03/2008 11:19

hi ange!
hi dippy!
hi POTC!

dippy - sounds like yr PIL cant keep on top but it was great you had a night together.

MIL has been hassling to get to look after C. until now i havent been sure / trusted her but need a help on friday for 2 hrs. when i asked earlier - was told no way. C is too heavy for her to manage on her own. !

AngeG · 24/03/2008 11:23

Hi Weeonion

at MIL response! Typical in laws!

weeonion · 24/03/2008 11:25

yep ange - wouldnt mind but C is hardly a rotund child. long and skinny. maybe if i arranged to have hoists and winches with pulleys in every room she'd be right here!

we have had sun, rain, hail and now snow this morning!

CaptainDippy · 24/03/2008 11:28

@ your MIL WO!!!! How old is she!!? That totally sounds like the sort of thing my MIL would say .... I am soooo used to "Oh I am sorry, I can't take DD1/2/3; I'm expecting a delivery of tissue paper."

weeonion · 24/03/2008 11:31

cd - she is just turned 60. well able to do most physical things - except lift her only granddaughter it seems! she suggested at one stage that i dosed C with farax formula before they visited so C would sit still so granny could hold her nice on her lap.

AngeG · 24/03/2008 11:33

WO sorry didn't mean to be flippant. I'm glad my in laws are in Spain!

weeonion · 24/03/2008 11:35

ange - lol - dont worry - i didnt take it wrong at all! i actually do think of it as hunourous!!
if i strapped a wine bottle to C's back - MIl would then be well able to lift her up and tip her over!!
what a bitch i am!!!

StealthPolarBear · 24/03/2008 11:48

pmsl weeonion!

cazboldy · 24/03/2008 12:49

If we had a competition about horrendous in laws, I reckon it would be close between me and Dippy!

oooggs · 24/03/2008 13:32

ellie I did about texting but thought you wouldn't want bothering and that you we having a life

dh and dcs having rough & tumble on the front room floor ds1 not very good at sharing daddy

good to see you all

Pesha · 24/03/2008 14:28

PMSL WO - can I nominate that for quote of the week?!

DP's mum and step dad have been lovely and had all 3 dc since yesterday lunchtime and they're still not back!! So I stayed up til half 2 this morning chatting on phone to my friend and drinking wine. And didnt get up til half 12 - it was I'm a LUSH!!!

My mum wont have them though, she'd have dd I think but they still expect ds1 to be like he was as a 2yo and TBH even then he wasnt as much of a destructor as they thought he was. And now step dad is depressed or something so they wont have any of them at all. They do however have my sister's dd once a fortnight for a whole day while my sis is at work

StealthPolarBear · 24/03/2008 14:31

Glad you had a good night and morning Pesha

CaptainDippy · 24/03/2008 17:07

Let's think of a cunning plot to give all our outlaws a short sharp shock!

Sexonlegs · 24/03/2008 18:12

Hi folks, dh has gone to Norway with work and won't be back till late tomorrow night. Boo hiss. K has had a sodding temperature again this afternoon and a yukky nappy - why?????? Teeth????

Hope you are all well. Will be back later after dd's are in bed.

NorthernLurker · 24/03/2008 19:14

Hello all

Dippy and WO - I am shocked at your in-laws. They really need to get a grip! Dippy - think your fil is pretty pathetic tbh - needs the peace ????? How does he think you and dh stay sane? (ok - sane-ish ) And WO - I've looked at your pictures and C is a little slip of a thing - she looks quite similar to B is build actually - so not light - but not heavy!!

SOL - hope K is better in the morning - it's one thing after another for you isn't it? Hope dh brings you something good from Norway - smoked moose?

Leaky - hope your move goes well

Oh dear - can't remember anything else, am absolutely knackered this evening - we've spent the day at church getting ready for the holiday club - this involves transforming a victorian church into 'The Beach' I was mostly doing the foyer - bunting, an ice cream stand, huge inflatable shark - just the standard stuff Dh is still there struggling with the electrics and sound so girls and I walked home. Shame I didn't have any gloves - it is freezing out. I've been home 1/2 an hour and my hands are still numb! B was so good - I ignored her and she was carried around by a series of adoring slaves friends. Big girls had a great time painting stuff and being very helpful.

elkiedee · 24/03/2008 19:17

Hi all,

POTC, glad to see you back - and don't go disappearing again!

Quiet day here, we did venture out to a cafe and as it had finally stopped snowing/raining to the playground (snow here didn't settle, as it normally doesn't)

D grizzly, have to run back upstairs!

CaptainDippy · 24/03/2008 19:47

Beach sounds cool NL - wish I could've been there to help

Wading through more work .... groan ... shouldn't complain though - I did "ask" for this job and I do "need" it .... count your Blessings and all that .....

How is everyone this evening!!?

oooggs · 24/03/2008 19:49

all ok here but just about to be kicked off pc so dh can do college work
