Hope Octo has a great night, and congratulations on the job Dippy.

Maveta · 18/03/2008 20:10

yeah congrats on the job dippy - i must have missed that news. sounds very cool

gmm - re. fillings, must be sore.. lots of sympathy for you.

Bramshott - thanks for the support, it is much needed! He didn't take long to settle tonight, I bathed him at 7.30pm and he insisted on a feed kind of before and during bathtime and at 8pm we did stories and bed. He cried a bit but I stayed with him and I reckon within 15mins he was asleep. So fingers crossed we'll crack this within a few days, then we'll see what we do about the night feeds. Have also decided to push tea time back to 6pm so will see if that helps. Anything is worth a try at this stage!

runnyhabbit · 18/03/2008 20:59

Evening all

oooggs FAB news about the school. I'm hoping to find out in the next few weeks about J school place. Fingers crossed.
cd job sounds fab
gmm ouch
spb I have a little chuckle at W when he cries, esp when he pouts[grins] used to do the same with J, but now he would tell me off

and a big mwah to you all

As for plans - yes we have one, and we're on track so far. I'm going to be working part time (na dposs study) til the boys are in in full time school. Once they're both in school, then I'll increase my hours, and get my career back on track properly. Then we'll be buying a bigger house. The overall idea is that I start working more, so dh can work less, iyswim.

Sexonlegs · 18/03/2008 21:22

Evening all.

Dippy, sounds fabulous. Glad it went well.

Maveta, good luck for tonight - hope your plan of action works.

Octo, have a fabulous time out! !!!

Oooggs, hope you are ok

GMM, hope the pain ease soon - sounds awful.
I have never had any fillings [runs away v quickly before being shot at]

Runny good to see you. Like the sound of your plan

Hope everyone else is ok. Sorry I haven't mentioned you all.

All ok here. Took K to the GP's just to get her checked out. Chest clear but has some fluid on her ears which could be painful. Just need to watch her. She seems much better in herself, but every time she had milk she coughed and spluttered and in the end she pushed it away after only a couple of ounces!
B has been a bit of a pita and I am afraid got v cross with her and smacked her leg at bedtime.

I am finding being on my own with them very hard. Dh is also giving me a hard time cos he says he doesn't get the feeling I am missing him!

So, going to sit back, have a cuppa and a flake and then go to bed!

NorthernLurker · 18/03/2008 21:24

hello

GMM - five fillings - you poor thing! Tis true - having kids knackers your teeth

Dippy - good to hear your shop day went ok - sounds quite fun Trust you will get a good discount if you need shoes or haircuts for your own lovelies?

I'm a bit fed up tonight. I just feel full of anxiety - about the house, my job, leaving B when I go back to work. I don't seem to have the information I need to move forward with any of it - if I knew nothing would go wrong with the move I could plan for that, if I knew what job I'll be doing I could metally prepare for it and for leaving b at nursery - but as it is I'm rather stuck.

NorthernLurker · 18/03/2008 21:30

x post SOL - being by yourself with them is very hard. I realised at bathtime that we hadn't done dd2's homework. I was heard to say 'why do I have to do everything?' That's not fair because dh does loads - not least working to keep the roof over our heads - and it's not his fault he's been in London for however many weeks it is. But still........

Eddas · 18/03/2008 21:31

NL, i felt much like that back in aug/sept so I know exactly how you feel {{{{hugs}}} I'm feeling anxious now as i don't find out where dd will go to school (or when) until 31st and I can't plan work/ds' childcare until I know. Likelyhood is things will remain the same until Jan but i'm already worrying

SOL, know how you feel too as I get cross with dd alot too don't feel too bad they seem to be at a very trying age.

I'll also as i've only ever had 2 fillings but one replaced the other so only one really if the first one had done a better job i wouldn't have needed the 2nd

Well, ds is going to be walking by the end of the week he's been letting go all day(apparently since his been with MIL & SIL all day) he's been taking 5-6 steps in a row then falling over. He has the confidence so is just needing to perfect the leg moving, won't be long Now where did I put those reigns

Sexonlegs · 18/03/2008 21:33

NL, you sound stressed chicken. When are you due back at work?
KL coughing again. I think it may be a pants night. I put medised in her bottle as it is the easiest way of getting it down her, but of course she didn't drink it. May need the nurofen syringe!

NorthernLurker · 18/03/2008 21:34

Thanks for the hugs - made me a bit teary tbh. That's better!

Right have to go make my tea - I know it's horribly late but it's just how it's worke out today.

Isn't it exciting now our babies have started walking - I think B will be like dd1 and get going around her birthday. 4 weeks or so to go!

NorthernLurker · 18/03/2008 21:35

28th April SOL. I know I can go back to my old job - but I don't want to be doing 4 days a week at that!

Eddas · 18/03/2008 21:40

just been thinking (rare event) and ds will need shoes soon won't he? His feet are diddy they'll never make them small enough. Might go get them measured tomorrow just to see how small they are won't buy any until he's properly walking since they grow at ridiculous speeds. Think dd changed sizes about 5 times in a year

Sexonlegs · 18/03/2008 21:40

x post Eddas. ope you are ok. You sound a bit stressed as well.

Right, think I should probably go to bed soon. I have been sleeping so badly and waking up with aching neck and shoulders.

Right, hope everyone has a good night and see you lovelies tomorrow.

Going to B's Easter Assembly tomorrow morning - she has been practising her songs bless her. They are also having to wear Easter Bonnets that they made themselves - well more like bought from The Works with a load of chicks and bunnies stuck on!
Then having a coffee with my midwife/friend and her 5 month old dd.

Busy old day.

Night gorgeous mummies. xx

NorthernLurker · 18/03/2008 21:41

night SOL

StealthPolarBear · 18/03/2008 21:41

Hi everyone
GMM I sympathise. I had only ever had a filling or two, then I went one time while I was at university and have 4 or 5 in one go I think! I also had to have a tooth out recently which had been niggling for ages and had developed into an abcess. Well I'm sure that's cheered you up no end...
SOL, sorry you're finding it hard, I winge about DH but I'd hate to have to cope on my own for more than one night. And that's with one baby. Those of you who do it regularly must be frazzled.
Hope tonight is good maveta.
Well we are having new carpets through most of the upstairs on Thursday so tonight and tomorrow T is in with us. I've put his mattress on the floor next to our bed as the futon's not really big enough for 3 to co sleep - it's OK for an hour or two in the morning but guess who loses their bed space It will be lovely when it's all done but is a real pita at the moment!

Eddas · 18/03/2008 21:41

i'm ok thanks sol just hate waiting to know things

hope you get a good nights sleep

StealthPolarBear · 18/03/2008 21:42

night sol

Sexonlegs · 18/03/2008 21:43

Eddas, I was thinking about feet sizes. K is pulling up on stuff which is hard when wearing socks on laminate floor. I do take her socks off but her feet get incredibly cold. Her feet are also tiny- way too tiny for real shoes!

Eddas · 18/03/2008 21:43

hi SPB new carpet can't have mine til ds stops being bloddy sick Ironic since my moaning about step mother I guess

Right, i'm off too, night x

StealthPolarBear · 18/03/2008 21:46

Night!
Well in the last couple of days I haven't really worried if T has weed while I'm changing his nappy, just given it a quick wipe with a baby wipe - that will all have to stop

elkiedee · 18/03/2008 21:51

SOL, your dh being away sounds like it must be really hard. I don't suppose your dh would be impressed if we all let him know how obvious it is to us that you miss him? Clearly, he's missing you (and probably dds) very much and wants reassurance. Hope things go ok for you. When is he back?

I'm feeling sad because my mother has gone to China for several weeks, and although she lives 200 miles away I've got so used to talking to her on the phone every night, and I hate when she's away and out of contact. How pathetic is that at my age?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/03/2008 21:59

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Max Beasley simply CANNOT leave Hotel Babylon, I fancy him too much

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/03/2008 22:01

J has shoes, has done for a few months, since he started cruising. I took him to Clarks and he was size 3.5, he's stayed the same size since and that was about 5 months ago, but I take him every few weeks to get them checked.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 18/03/2008 22:12

Wow Pillock you're organised!
Should probably fit in a trip to clarks before I go back to work...
elkie not pathetic at all. My mum drives me mad but I get a bit stressed if I don't talk to her every couple of days

runnyhabbit · 18/03/2008 22:53

but don't you think that Max looks better in a suit?

far too cheesy on a motorbike

Right, its dh birthday on Friday, and haven't got a clue what to get him from the boys, any suggestions please?

(I have decided to get underwear...what I mean is, underwear for me, so its a treat for him)

CaptainDippy · 18/03/2008 23:01

Mmmm, Max Beesley

I'm off to bed, have been sorting out my cupboard in my office to make way for all the NCT crap .... what an exciting life I have ...... "See" you tomorrow.....
