CaptainDippy · 20/03/2008 10:01

Morning!

StealthPolarBear · 20/03/2008 10:15

by 'eck it's grim up north

cazboldy · 20/03/2008 10:24

Hi all. Busy day today!

dh's boss and a carpenter are coming to look at my kitchen later - hopefully to sort out getting a new one!

ds1 and dd1 have both got awards in the end of term assembly, so have been invited there later

dishwasher man came yesterday, and said it's a fault with that model, and they will send me a new one. It won't be until after Easter Monday, but he has bodged the old one so it kind of works - it washes, but it doesn't dry........

Hope you are feeling a bit better today - to NL and Pesha and Ellie

elkie - what a strange thing to have happen

My kids break up today Yay!

CaptainDippy · 20/03/2008 11:22

Ooooooh new kitchen and new dishwasher - how positively exciting Caz!!

cazboldy · 20/03/2008 11:25

Dippy - tust you!

StealthPolarBear · 20/03/2008 11:34

could only be topped by a new dyson!
we have decided on a middle name for t - houdini - play pens cannot contain him in his bid for freedom

cazboldy · 20/03/2008 11:36

OMG SPB did he climb out?

StealthPolarBear · 20/03/2008 11:42

no no nothing like that
we aren't using it properly, just to put over the kitchen door to keep him in.
he long ago figured out moving it out of the way but today i put his toybox, washing basket / other assorted household items in the way, he moved every one and was out of the kitchen before i could shout "come here!"

StealthPolarBear · 20/03/2008 11:43

ok opur house is officially a tip - carpet man has just asked when we're moving in properly pmsl

cazboldy · 20/03/2008 12:38

pmsl laughing spb

I just had to let a man in to read the electricity meter........

he had to climb over loads of junk.....wellies, cow food, chicken food, dog food, bottles waiting to go to the bottle bank, salt for the water softener......you name it

cazboldy · 20/03/2008 12:40

p.s it is in the garage!

just incase you thought it was my hallway or something

You just panicked me for a minute, as Molly was standing up in her cot when I went up to get her up this morning

NorthernLurker · 20/03/2008 12:44

you should have seen me rooting everything out from under the sink in my hunt for the stopcock for the surveyor! He's just gone - was alarmingly thorough and I don't think we'll be moving anywhere. He didn't say anything to that effect of course but I'm not hopeful.

It's pouring with rain and I still haven't read what happened to everybody yesterday. Sorry to be so self obsessed and gloomy. Just call me Eeyore!

cazboldy · 20/03/2008 12:48

oh NL - I love Eeyore - he's my fave WTP character! don't be gloomy......Maybe he was being thorough because he couldn't find anything wrong!

oooggs · 20/03/2008 12:50

oh eeyore - you need some positive vibes sending your way

caz - sounds exciting - I love new housey stuff

hi dippy

right off for a walk - back later

NorthernLurker · 20/03/2008 12:57

You're off for a walk Oooggs - obviously not pouring where you are then!

Caz - thanks for the thought - but I don't think so somehow.

I'm having tomato soup for lunch - whats anyone else having?

Sexonlegs · 20/03/2008 12:59

Hello.

Just dropping in quickly as I am at work.

B is fine thank God. She has a black eye and it is a bit closed though
She was quite happy to go to school and show it to everyone though!! One of her friends gave her a hug bless her.
Feel so bad, but you just cannot keep an eye on them all the time, and she seems to be developing her daddy's love of climbing grrrrrr!

Better run, but catch up properly later on.

Love to all. xx

NorthernLurker · 20/03/2008 13:02

SOL - unless you wrapped her in bubble wrap - not really sustainable - you can't prevent little bumps. Don't feel bad - here have some of my nice hot soup

cazboldy · 20/03/2008 13:16

I am having a cheese and tomato chutney sandwich!

how long have you lived there NL? did you have a survey done before you moved in? Surely you would have noticed anything major???

NorthernLurker · 20/03/2008 13:25

nine years Caz - we had the bank survey plus my aunt's then bloke - a surveyor - came and took a look - the only issue then was possible damp. We've had that looked at again since and the conclusion was more condensation than damp. Central heating should sort it out a lot - but we've never had the money to do that. We certainly never had anything like what the guy has done today. The house isn't in a bad state - it's lovely imo! I think there will be a long list of potential issues and I fear the worst

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/03/2008 13:28

Right read through and caught up

Hi Pinions - lovely to 'see' you

Dippy - we have no washing up liquid either

POTC - your nose! Ouch, ouch, ouch!

Oooggs - nursery sounds tough. I sort of know B's nursery - in that it's in the same group as the one dd2 went too. But it's going to be very hard - especially now i'm so NOT looking forward to going back to work!

Pesha - hope you are a little better today

nee carpets, new kitchens - it's all very exciting
