good morning april ladies

early start at 6am but they both went 7pm - 6am so can't complain too much

It's going to be mummys day in the oooggs household - when dh & ds1 get up after last weeks disaster - take two.

hope you are all ok

borrow money from your children doesn't everyone they are loaded compared to us!!!!!! We have alot of their money (especially ds1's) in premium bonds (in my name) but it is their money (unless they hit a huge amount then it can pay of the mortgage and keep a roof over their heads!!)

have a great day

StealthPolarBear · 09/03/2008 07:38

Morning
Glad it's not just us then!
Not really arguing just DH going at the amount on our credit card, despite the fact we agreed in advance that these 2 months (Jan & Feb) I'm not getting paid, that we would scrape by and that we'd probably have about that much on the credit card at the end - I think we are about £100 over that!! Never mind.
Anyway, we've hopefully got a plan...
so tired today
Enjoy mothers day pt2 oooggs!

Pesha not tactless at all I don'r expect anyone to remember about mum

Oooggs, hope you have a lovely mothers day dt's obviously knew and slept through for you

SPB, I have those conversations with dh all the time. They don't seem to realise how much it costs to live. I don't overspend, well I don't think I do

DH had a text from a friend last night saying he's going to newquay(is that spelt right) in August for 3 days for his bday and wants dh to go too. I just went into one saying how on earth can we afford that, it'll be at least £500 and if we can barely afford a family 5 days away to Butlins in Sept how on earth does he expect to get £500 to swan off on a lads weekend He did then point out he hadn't said he wanted to go But anyway I think my rant made it quite clear we do not have money for that sort of thing. It's so frustrating though as he gets invited to all these things and I hate saying no but he just wouldn't realise I feel like the fun killer Don't get why they can't just bloody go to the pub for a few anyway as it's not even a special birthday(they were all 30 last year)grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Me and dd are off on a girls trip to the cinema at 10 to see Enchanted can't wait. Am then hoping dh will entertain her for the rest of the day as I'm having dd overload Might even try to swindle taking ds to the shops, or if i'm lucky dh may offer to let me go alone

NorthernLurker · 09/03/2008 10:54

morning - well I'm here instead of church as dd2 is still not 100% - she was sick right after going to bed last night - managed to get it all in a receptacle though so that was good. Peaceful night (though B woke) but then this morning she has no appetite and is lying on the sofa looking washed out. Dh and dd1 have gone to church and I've got B here as well who was doing my head in! Incredibly clingy and screaming - made a huge, huge fuss when I was getting her dressed. Anyway - I've sat down here and she's finally wandered off to do her own thing.
Oooggs - I've had a bit of a mothers day take two here as well! Dd1 was at a sleepover last week and seemed a bit bothered that she couldn't do me breakfast in bed - she got together with dh and I was woken up with bacon and egg this morning
SPB - hope your plan works out - see we all borrow from our well off children!
Dippy - dd3 doesn't have a savings account either - must be a neglected third child thing

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/03/2008 11:03

just popping in to say I'm here and ok, have had sofa boy here since Friday and I made the mistake of setting him up on Facebook. From 4ish yesterday, until gone 10.30 last night he was on there
I think he may be addicted (he's been back on again this morning!)

NorthernLurker · 09/03/2008 11:05

Sofa boy has stayed the weekend - interesting....

Big mistake with facebook though

elkiedee · 09/03/2008 11:12

Blimey, no posts for hours!

How are you all?

Have been reading the posts, but cannot remember much, apart from sofa man being on the sofa again!!

Hope you are all keeping well and have had a lovely weekend.

Has been hectic here. dh's parents came down and took dd's out while we painted a couple of rooms. They stayed for a chinese takeaway and the headed off home. We then had friends for lunch today, so all in all pretty busy. Now enjoying a sit down and Dancing on Ice before sorting dinner

Back soon.
