the TV remote is in the freezer, your car keys are down the loo, and there are little smears of food at knee height down each corridor!

Yes to soapnuts.

Clothes - I have changes of clothes for the DS2 (loads of things passed down for DS to "grow into" and probably for DS1 too) so you don't have to do the whole "what if they get wet/fall in mud" etc. I have pjs too that can fit both so you don't have to bring them at all if you don't want!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm 100 acre woods

Flame · 06/04/2008 18:15

Doing that bean bag ball style non settling snow here

Phoenix · 06/04/2008 18:41

Yes I can get 1/2 price entry to Warwick Castle for 10 points

mustrunmore · 06/04/2008 18:41

Am hoping that hmmmmm to me not just the woods

Yes please to borrowing pjs for them both... makes life easier! And if you really have alot of ds2 clothes, i'll cut down drastically on my packing Thank you sooo much.
Am now having my quandary about bringing buggy or not. Want to incase I decide to come home by train to prove my independance/want to travel diff time. But want to do without to prove to friend that I dont always take a ton of stuff (old gripe/diagreement that still bugs me!)

How much money do I need for soapnuts?

Flame · 06/04/2008 19:03

Erm, not sure - knock 50p whatever it says on the site.

Will get pjs organised, and plenty of clothes for DS2.

Don't have spare buggy though Could be handy if we were to go to shops etc unless you want to walk him round veg shop?

Mmmmmmmmmm was to the whole thing

mustrunmore · 06/04/2008 19:17

Phoenix, I'll get you in free if I possibly can. I'm sure it'll be ok! How many crisps do you have to buy for 10 points then?

I did debate trying to fit the 2 little ds's in your zapp You nutter, I was thinking just hipseat (or carrying yours as he's lighter!!) Dont forget, ds2 just gets out of the buggy anyway when he feels like it.

Phoenix · 06/04/2008 19:31

It's 2 points per bag of crisps MRM. I got 2 multi packs that were on offer at Asda so that was 42 points straight away then they give you 2 free when you register and i sometimes buy a bag of crisps at work. Think i've got 54 points altogether.

mustrunmore · 06/04/2008 19:33

Thats quite a good schem then. What else can you do withthem? Not that we buy crisps!

Phoenix · 06/04/2008 20:08

Go to brit trips and search, there's loads of places

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/04/2008 20:22

I'm up for Warwick and a piss up and any other meet ups that anyone wants to do!
Don't want to open up the house to the whole of MN though flame, now that it's rather larger than it used to be (MN, not house!). Would love to do something similar to last year's picnic though, if we can get away with limiting invites without being accused of being a clique.

Was going to suggest late August for a piss up here, as building work will be running later than initially planned, and would obv be preferable if we weren't all staying in a building site! But now 2 of you can't do last week in August, and I have a feeling that Friz said ages ago that she couldn't do much in August either. What's the latest date that everyone can do?

Shall we book in a date for Warwick too? Anyone want to suggest one?

Phoenix · 06/04/2008 20:30

Will Warwick be a week day visit? If so I've got 2 week off work w/c 2nd June and w/c 9th June (going camping 1st week no plans for second week) then i'm only off work 1 day a week.

If piss up is a Saturday again I can just drive down after work like i did last year so shouldn't be a prob for me.

DontDreamItBeIt · 06/04/2008 20:40

I can't do Warwick in June.....half term is the week before here. What day are you off Phoenix?

My August hol isn't booked yet, but will be the last full week. I don't know when the dds go back to school, but it is the first week in September.

I've also got lots of walkers points....my friends dh sells crisps to all his workmates from multipacks so we registered the points, plus I've got a few from some on offer last week, too. I'll save them.

Phoenix · 06/04/2008 20:51

My day off is a rolling day so if i have Monday off then the week after it will be Tuesday, then Wednesday etc.

I can list all my days off from June - August if you want

EachPeachPearMum · 06/04/2008 20:55

Friz- You were right!
We woke up to 5 inches of snow this morning!
We went out straight after breakfast before the sun got to our garden. Dh made a mini snowman for dd to trash enjoy. It was very powdery though- really fluffy stuff. Melted by 6pm, though it started snowing again around 6.30.- is coming down quite thick now

MRM- well- I was only 17, and it was on big screen- maybe that made more of a difference? Why do you want something that preys on your mind????

Jas- you will read it in one session- I picked it up at bedtime erm 1.15am one night to 'just read 5 minutes'.
Put it down 1hr 10 minutes later...blarted for the next 20 mins!
DH also blarted when he read it, but he is a notorious weeper!

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/04/2008 21:01

'Blarted' - WTF is that?!

Phoenix - I think Warwick will need to be in school holidays, so can you list all your days off for July and August?

I would prefer to avoid Fridays if poss, as it's the only day during the holidays that I still have a regular group/set of friends to go to.

mustrunmore · 06/04/2008 21:07

MrEPPM is a wuss

Yep, needs to be hols.
If you give me some dates for Warwick and for piss up, I'll check them.

am getting VERY VERY excited about going to Flame's now

mustrunmore · 06/04/2008 21:09

Oh, and was requested by my friend EPPM, her thinking I would know something disturbing straight away! I'm on a mission, as I failed to fulfill the criteria!

EachPeachPearMum · 06/04/2008 21:14

blarted=cried... I think it may be a midlands term

OP posts:
Phoenix · 06/04/2008 21:49

Flame · 07/04/2008 07:49

Could the piss up not be a September weekend though? We don't need children for it etc...

@ not wanting to invite the whole of MN for a picnic - how rude!! I knew it was early enough in the year to be able to announce random crap and people not actually expect it to happen I'm trying to convince Shit (or whatever she is being called today) to host a huge one, but she ain't convinced.

There is nothing cliquey about inviting your friends to your house Anyone you would want to invite would be on your facebook/emails so it doesn't need doing via MN at all tbh.

No snow here.

Not the teeniest bit prepared for MRM and oodles of nonMRM preparation things I have to do today. Methinks she won't care about taking me as she finds me though

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/04/2008 08:09

It would need to be early September if it is flame, unless you lot all want to be my birth partners?

Have lovely time with mrm, and don't you both go and dessert us for days! (You know we've had more snow here overnight don't you flame, but I don't think it's enough to affect her journey?)

Flame · 07/04/2008 08:18

I haven't heard that she has cancelled, which I am assuming means she hasn't

Birth partners sounds good

Phoenix · 07/04/2008 09:06

I go to Cornwall Sept 13th for a week.

Phoenix · 07/04/2008 19:39

All day no posts. What are you all doing?

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/04/2008 19:44

Too busy losing my temper with dd to post . Put her to bed early (7:35), so can breathe and relax again now.
