the TV remote is in the freezer, your car keys are down the loo, and there are little smears of food at knee height down each corridor!

I got back las night, bu as ds only let me have 4 hours sleep at mum and dads, I was shattered. The 2 hour drive home took almos three hours, too as I was so tired, and ds screamed for almost he whole last hour,so I had to stop for longer than I planned. We did have a good time away , but will definitely stay longer in the summer I think.

[Your episode at the hospital sounds quite scary Csws...glad you are ok now.

mrm- yes we are sill planning to come to you on Friday. How early do you want us?

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/04/2008 09:58

Why only 4 hrs sleep Jas?
Have a good day at PWP. We had been considering joining you, esp as forecast is good, but we were up lots in night and early this morning, as dd's cough has turned very nasty, so think we'll try for a quiet day.

Do old mobiles actually sell on ebay?

mustrunmore · 03/04/2008 13:59

Why wouldnt they? If you're on pay as you go, you might well want a nice new phone without changing your number.

Jas, you can come whenever. From the sound of it, Bil and nephew will stay until ds1 goes to nursery about 12.30. Dh is still off work though, so he can do the nursery run to save us taking 100 kids up there! Also, bear in mind the house always looks like shit when dh is at home, plus its been alot worse with ds1 and his newly aquired favourite cousin trashing the place I'm relying on your ability to see beyond mess and clutter!! So, just let me know what time roughly you want to turn up, and I'll try and get a run in before that! Does it depend how much sleep you caught up on?? Also remind me to give you a roll of liners this time.

Frizbe · 03/04/2008 18:31

EPPM for dd still being poorly.
Shop stuff picking up actually, but I recently sold some grobags on ebay and they hardly fetched anything (with good P&P too!)

CSWS for snot too, hope you go have a good quiet day tomorow.

Phoenix for your listings, hope they go well.

MRM/Flame glad you had a good day. Have fun with Jas tomorrow MRM

Jas for boy keeping you up all night, any reason that you an place? teeth?

am at work still here, dum de dum....fairly busy with intermittant customers now its lighter at night though so can't complain. Dh drove me nuts today though, in control freak mode.....couldn't do anything without being watched, excuse me, I am a grown adult you know, he's far worse than anyone I've worked for before, ever and now we're partners, ffs.

DontDreamItBeIt · 03/04/2008 20:57

I think it was a combination of constipation and waking up in a strange place at my mums....he woke at 3 and nothin I did would get him back to sleep til gone 6, then the dds woke me at 7.30. I had to keep him in my room and do what I could to keep him quiet, to save waking everyone else. as by 3.15 he had everyone up.

I went to bed when the dds did las night. and feel much better today.

PWP was lovely and sunny

How is dd today csws?

I couldn't work with dp, Frizbe...I would kill him! You have my admiration for being able to do it at all tbh.

mrm- 10/10.30 ish? I'd like to come early and leave early if I can....we've been out so much I haven't done a thing at home and we are running out of clean clothes! I can see straight past mess, too,and promise not to judge your house

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/04/2008 21:26

You will judge the new kitchen though won't you Jas ?

Dd coughing lots today - made herself sick doing so several times this morning, but otherwise just watched a lot of TV and played in the garden (platform bits arrived for climbing frame today, so dh fitted them for her). She didn't nap at all, and only went to bed at 8. Incredible.

Talking of the climbing frame, how is dd2's neck now?

mustrunmore · 03/04/2008 21:37

That sounds fine Jas.. what do you class as leaving early? Not that it matters, i'm just curious!

When dh cant/wont let me loose on DIY etc due to him not wanting tohae the boys, I tend to organise/project manage it all, and he's a bloody nightmare. I wouldnt want to be in paid work with him!! We, we did obv work together, but in diff departments luckily, so I got the benefit of bveing able to ask special favours o amke my life easier, without having to deal with his disorganisation and odd approach to things

Have done 3 aerobics classes this week. Am trying really hard ewith food/sensible diet. Other exercise too, although not as much running as usual. so why do I feel like i'm always walking through sand and weigh 100 stone? and loook like it too?

DontDreamItBeIt · 03/04/2008 22:07

Lunchtime I guess? (Or shortly after if you have spare butties)

Of course I will be judging the kitchen, marking it, and reporting back

DD2s neck had bruises either side, which looked like someone had tried to choke her but thankfully they faded quickly and are not visible any more.

mustrunmore · 03/04/2008 22:15

Of course we can feed you!! It'll be aBOUT 12 THOUGH ,AS DS1 LEAVES 12.30 TO GET TO NURSERY. iS THAT TOO EARLY FOR YOU?

DontDreamItBeIt · 03/04/2008 22:48

Shouty post. We will eat at any time!

Frizbe · 03/04/2008 23:36

for dd CSWS

Have a great time tomorrow girls eh!

Flame · 04/04/2008 07:55

Sorry for being AWOL... seem to spend all my time on this thread whinging about my life, but not taking in anyone else's so thought I would take a bit of a break and hopefully come back more participanty soon.

Quick message for MRM though - any idea when you will have a definite yay or nay?

DontDreamItBeIt · 04/04/2008 08:20

What do you mean... a bit of a break?? From mumsnet entirely, or just from us?

I don't mind you whnging. I know I am no help at all, but I'd rather you whinged than disappeared....

The dds are very excited about seeing ds1 today mrm. DD1 wants to invite him to her birthday (in June) See you later.

Flame · 04/04/2008 08:33

From both really. I am sick of living in this mess, I am sick of worrying about money. MN isn't helping either thing - I can't even be bothered to give nappy advice on here any more I've been burnt by someone I thought was a friend (none of you, don't worry!!!) and I think I need to step back, get my business back on track or get a part time job of some sort.

DH is in negotiations at work to try and get his pay above benefits level - he has told them that he has no incentive to work hard because his bonus is always taken away by benefits (we have to declare it because it is the month before his pay rise, and they need to see the previous month's pay slip when we tell them about the rise ), so as always, we want off the benefits, so they are trying to work out if they can give him a pay rise somehow to bring it up. Whether it will happen or not is another thing... He is also trying to get his friend's job I can see his reasoning though - his mate gets paid a lot more for being more "responsible" for things, but then passes all the work to DH anyway so there is no loyalty, so he is fairly calm about screwing him over

Anyway, with that essay... I need to go clean my kids. They went to bed filthy and are now in the bath so they are presentable for a new day

mustrunmore · 04/04/2008 08:44

Why did I feel instantly guilty when I read that Flame, even though I'm fairly certain I've done nothing bad to you? I'm really sorry I havent been able to give you a def descision yet. When do you need to know why?? I'm going to legoland with her tomorrow, so will try and pin her down. She's being all washy and esoteric about life I'd say we'll come regardless, but I'm not 100% sure I could keep both boys under comtrol for the full length of the journey; it'd stress me beyond all belief. I'll be very upset if she decides not to go after all this planning. Anyway, when/if I do come, I'm expecting you to have a list in your head of all the things I can do to help you practically. I'm very keen on spring cleaning, sorting paperwork, working out budgets, culling toys, bathing grotty children. Anything I can do to help, seeing as you didnt let me do anything last time.
BTW, I 'd have no qualms about nicking someone else's job! Dh is working towards that too, and me and exh waited till our friends split up so we could take over the rental of their flat at uni

Flame · 04/04/2008 12:21

Believe me, spring cleaning is already on a list!!!

So, the dude decided that turning taps on with the sink plugged would be fun... it hadn't been going for long when I spotted it running down my kitchen wall Agent sent a builder round, he thinks it was caught quick enough to just dry out and be fine

BUT it made me realise just how disgusting my kitchen is looking

EachPeachPearMum · 04/04/2008 13:43

Flame- I think you need to get your health back on track too!

can you not just mn with us, and ignore the rest of 'em?

mn is very antagonistic atm- dunno why, but threads seem to kick off all the time... and did you see the thing with MF?

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 04/04/2008 13:47

what thing?

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/04/2008 14:07

Have you been hiding in a cupboard for the last day mrm? Look for thread called 'Name Change' with a zillion posts on it.

flame - agree that you should stay on here, even if you leave the rest of MN for a bit.

DontDreamItBeIt · 04/04/2008 14:54

Is it still there csws?I spent an hour reading it last night, and missed the first 1/2 of House as a result!

We're back and the dds have done 1/2 hour tidying up as a reward for an extra hour at mrms house. Quite a bargain I think, as I'm so disorganised I'd probably have stayed that late anyway!

mustrunmore · 04/04/2008 14:59

Er, no csws, cheeky. I've been entertaininig my exotic family Only ever come on this thread now!

Thanks for coming today jas, ds1 loved having the girls round

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/04/2008 15:09

Yes it's still there, and somewhat amusing in places!

mustrunmore · 04/04/2008 15:53

But its soooo long. Cant you just summarise it, as I only read the 1st 100 posts!

So, since Jas left this morninig I've noticed that I have no pilot light on the boiler, and the speaker has literally dropped out of the wall! more DIY!

DontDreamItBeIt · 04/04/2008 16:25

Well I'm fairly confident mine aren' responsible for the pilot light, and I hope they aren't for the speaker!
We all enjoyed i, oo mrm. Thanks for feeding us, too.
DS fell asleep on the way home, but it was a quick journey and we woke him up as soon as we go back, so I'm hoping he'll still sleep tonight.

I have no lights in here due to a dodgy wire somewhere (Yes we did just get the whole place rewired, but dp hasn't screwed most of the light fittings to the ceilings so the wires are more likely to come loose) so he'll have to sort tha out fo me today, then if no work I'm hoping we can do something in the bathroom.
