the TV remote is in the freezer, your car keys are down the loo, and there are little smears of food at knee height down each corridor!

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/03/2008 18:53

Well let's make today your honorary birthday.

Dd slept for ages after you left too Jas. Bedtime will be fun . Well she will have to manage without a nap tomorrow as she's at the CM in the afternoon, so maybe that will help us get back into a no nap pattern. The girls forget to take their pictures back Jas, so now I can look at an angel indefinitely .

Off to the hospital in the morning for my glucose tolerance test, plus bloods to see if I have immunity from parvo virus (fifth disease/slapped cheek), as I was unfortunately exposed to it last week, without knowing at the time.

Flame · 31/03/2008 19:05

for parvo virus

I remember having it as a child, and seeing as I have very few childhood memories, that says a lot - but for all that it does make me feel better because I know I have had it iyswim. I hope your tests are ok

DontDreamItBeIt · 31/03/2008 20:35

DP is being a dick. I'm going away overnight tomorrow, and really looking forward to it now.

Ds is still up and yelling.

DontDreamItBeIt · 31/03/2008 20:36

an angel.

Frizbe · 31/03/2008 22:11

Jas where you going then, somewhere nice?

Hope everything ok CSWS

Happy Belated Birthday Flame
Hope the dr gets to the bottom of things soon. Enjoy your bra fitting! the woman who I get mine off up here, used to work for them has her own little independant shop now.

MRM hope everything ok with BIL and his ds, sure they won't mind taking you as they find you

dd1 being a mare here, is back on star chart with all priviledges suspended. dd2 took her cue from her today and was a pita at nursery so the staff informed me, so I asked her what she'd been doing all day, reply 'I've been in a temper mummy' hurrah for long sentance, but wonder whose taught her that word, and grrrr at dd1 for teaching her to behave like that

EachPeachPearMum · 31/03/2008 22:55

Friz- rofl at dd2! - they're are sweet aren't they!

Happy b'day Flame- you sneaky lady!

  • Look away now

We had minimal sleep again last night- dd coughing fits were getting worse- she managed to cough so much she vomited- TWICE!
Poor baby - the first time I hadn't realised, and thought it was drool (nice!) and just wiped her hands and face with a hanky .

The 2nd time, as we were still awake...DH heard her retch, so we realised what had happened.

In fairness- it was quite dark in her room, it was clear/bile rather than food-filled vomit, and I did say to Dh she had slimed herself (see- Ghostbusters came in useful after all mrm!)- but it wasn't until the second occasion that we realised.

Doctors for us first thing- there's no infection, but he gave us some de-congestant- and tonight she went out like a light, and has been silent since, so it looks like it works.

DontDreamItBeIt · 01/04/2008 07:56

EPPM I hope last night was better. I've managed to nooticed a sicky child in the past, too

Very long sentence, Frizbe. I'd be speachless if ds said that much! His behavior isn't grea eiher, and the dds aren't teaching him....he does is all on his own initiative.

We're going to my mums for the night today. Not the most exciting trip in the world, but I do enjoy their company, and it will save my dad doing the really long drive here and back in one day, which he has done every fortnight for the last 8 years! The dds are busy packing their overnight bags, so I'm going to go and sort breakfast out.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/04/2008 14:34

Ds does say sentences that long Jas, it's just that only he knows what he's saying!

Copied and pasted this from ante-natal thread...
Afternoon ladies. Am feeling pitiful today. Went to the hospital for my GTT, had a phlebotomist who struggled to get any blood, and on his second attempt I passed out, and have since thrown up 9 or 10 times shock. Unfortunately as I threw up the glucose drink, they had to abandon the GTT, but they did manage to get the blood for the parvovirus test. Was in no state to drive back (in fact threw up and retched so much on the way home that I also wet myself blush), but the car seat was in my car with me, so had to get dh to find someone who could pick up dd and look after her, whilst our builder brought him to the hospital to pick me and the car up.

Feeling a bit brighter after a couple of hours' sleep, so have just managed to drink some water and have some plain biscuits.

EachPeachPearMum · 01/04/2008 15:11

csws- what a terrible morning!
Did you have to fast for the gtt? (how does this work with bf? )

Did you have gestational diabetes with Dd1?

(Did you see that? Just getting you into practice )

Was it rubbish veins or rubbish phlebotomist?

Dd slept peacefully until 12.00 last night, then screamed for quite a while. Couldn't stop coughing for ages poor thing. She also woke at 5 and 6.30 howling.

She was bright as a button when she got up at 7.30 though- don't know how she does it

Also- she just ISN'T poorly during the day- genuinely, its so weird. She always (read at least twice a week!!) gets a temperature spike at around 6.15- its very strange.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 01/04/2008 15:20

Had to fast for 12 hours, so nothing since 8pm last night. Didn't even consider whether bf would have any impact on how I felt - fed twice since my last food.
Didn't have GD with dd (1 ), but diabetes is rife in my family, and with my weight too I am quite high risk for it.
Rubbish phlebotomist re not finding blood, but that wouldn't really explain the collapse/sickness - never had any problem before though, so very odd.

DD rarely ill during the day either - think it all just settles on their chest when they are lying down overnight. Hope she lets you get more sleep tonight - make sure you go to bed early.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/04/2008 16:55

Friz - was it toxo that your cousin had? If so, can you help at all here?

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/04/2008 18:24

Oh dear. Dd back from cm, had a feed and fell asleep on my lap, can't wake her with talking or shouting or stroking - nightmare - wanted to get her back in to no nap pattern, not absurdly late nap pattern!

Phoenix · 01/04/2008 21:47

(Late) Happy Birthday wishes for you Flame.

Hope dd is sleeping csws. for gtt sickness.

Jas - Have a nice night away

EPPM - for dd been ill, hope she's sleeping well now and for the rest of the night.

Friz - PMSL at dd2 been in a temper

Is it today Flame's at MRM's? Is that why neither of them are on here Hope you've had a good day if it is.

Ds has been sleeping til between 8 and 8.30am for the last 3 days

It's my day off work tomorrow so we're doing toddlers in the morning then we're taking some stuff to the rubbish tip thats been stuck in the spare room for ages. Then if the weather's ok we're gonna take our old tent and new tent to my parents and put them both up in their garden. The new one for practice and the old one to take pics of to put it on Ebay (i've got the Ebay bug again and have loads to put on cos we've got no money.)

Hope everyone's ok

EachPeachPearMum · 01/04/2008 22:23

what is your old tent phoenix?

we kept our old tent, cos it was a 2 manner, and perfect size for our postage stamp sized lawn (or our living room, for that matter- 'tis free-standing)

How are you feeling now csws?

Feeling well-corsetted flame?

OP posts:
Frizbe · 01/04/2008 23:29

Phoenix I've been trying to ebay odds n sods, but to hardly any avail, stuff isn't getting many bids at the mo it seems

CSWS {{{Hugs}}}} what a horrible morning you've had. Really hope you're lots better tomorrow. I liked EPPM's dd1 there I nearly wrote that the other day, but thought better of it, as we don't know yet right Hope they have more luck with the bloods next time, if not, pop up and see me and I'll take you to our local phlebotomist(SP), he's a gem, fastest needle in town (I kidd you not!)

EPPM {{{hugs}}} for poorly dd too, hope she's lots better for you tonight, I hate it when they're randomly sick. It could be she has the horrible re-occuring bug that's going around, the one with the headaches and the cough, just when you think you've gotten rid of it, it starts up again a few days later.

Jas Hope you're having a great time

Not done much today, been to work, then took the dd's out of nursery two hours early to go to a party, which they both loved, so nice to see them both whizzing around the play equipment together. and for the boy whose party it was though, his school have said they think he's on the Autistic Spectrum, but can't tell properly for a few years, they're monitoring him. If he is, it seems only mild, so that's one thing to be thankful for.

Frizbe · 01/04/2008 23:38

CSWS I'll take a look at that thread, it was Toxo.

mustrunmore · 02/04/2008 08:35

Urgh, poor you csws; what a rough time Lol at getting the builder to help with logistics of getting you though!! Will he be adding that onto the final cost?!

Yes phoenix, me and Flame met up and we've now run away. We're on the internet at the ariport waiting to run away forever

Actually, it was a bit odd invading her family bra day.. but very nice And she looks very good with pink hair!!

In fact, it was so nice I might be seeing her on Monday

Er, something about tents. Did I mention we got one? My friend went to get a £30 one from Argos, it came up as 'last one', they gave her the box... got home.. was the last box not the last tent... conatined 6 tents So she's sold the other 5 for £15 each!!

EachPeachPearMum · 02/04/2008 12:54

I think the ebay thing is buyers getting really peeeed off with sellers taking the p* on p&p.
eg- a summer cotton blouse I thought would be great for dd- postage was £3.85- right, cos it would only cost 60p to post!

As a seller, I have only been listing things which are gorgeous, and certs to sell, and doing loads of photos and staging etc. Only selling co-ordinating items in batches, etc. It seems to be working- haven't listed much, but most sold for good amounts, and all sold (which is the main thing!).

Friz- I assume your ebaying is separate to the shop's stuff? How is shop stuff selling at the moment? (onlne and rl)

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/04/2008 22:09

Blimey - have you all turned into a bunch of deserters?!

Am off to bed shortly, but just thought I'd stick my neck in now I'm off the Apprentice thread.

Feeling much better today thankfully.
