Wilkie - No broadband???????????? Well I'm afraid you're just going to have to look for a new house

Lal - towgo's got a better spec. And blue ears and wheels.

2H - 2 years later . Do you feel like you're the last girl in the class to start their periods .

KAt you found a new bathroom yet? We got ours from the bathstore - lovely stuff but shite customer serivce if anything isn't right (we had a faulty radiator)

Lizz what's today's poo count?

PCF can't believe how close your wedding is now. Are things all calm and under control or have you turned into a bridezilla?

Eah please come and be my personal shopper. I hate buying clothes (for me - dd is a different matter) but need a big wardrobe update. I have my biggest problem with shoes. My feet hurt in anything other than trainers.

Anyone doing anything this weekend? I'm off to London tomorrow for work (watch out Shimmer - I'm in your neck of the woods!), and hope to chill out on Sunday. Really looking forward to Easter.

Reggiee · 14/03/2008 21:49

2H - dh informs me it's a Bremshey treadmill. Never heard of 'em (despite being on it - v observant )

2happy · 15/03/2008 06:38

Reggie - nice treadmill, but definitely out of my price range . Have fun in London
kw3 - yes bfing seems to work well for me . Came back at 10 months with ds1, but then I got pg so only ever had the 1. And this time, bfing with the mini pill seems to do the trick. I think I only had this period becuase I asked dh to pick my prescription up for me and it took him 2 weeks to get off his arse to do it - just as well it's not him taking the responsibility for contraception . Hope your blocked duct has gone now. How much are the bfers still feeding now - we're either 2 or 3 times a day. I'm in 2 minds - I know it's good for ds2, and I enjoy doing it, it's one of the few things that makes me feel I'm doing my kids any good; but man I'd like a night off. But I know if I'm the one that stops him feeding I'll just feel really guilty, I really need for him to self-wean. But it took getting pg to make ds1 self-wean
Lal - predictably, I liked the frieda, but it crashed my computer when i tried to look at it!
Lizz - how's lo today?

I forgot to say yesterday - we're going on holiday next month [trepidation]. Wow, no holidays for 4 years, then 2 in the space of 4 months!! dh has been invited to a wedding in Devon - his best mate from uni, so he really wants to go. It's 8 hours drive, though, ffs. And I think the groom's a knob, but lets not go there... So I know a lot about Dartmoo (my granny's family from there), but this is north of Exeter - other than Diggerland (which is clearly a must for ds1), anyone have any tips??

OP posts:
Wilkie · 15/03/2008 08:02

Reggiee - I was the last girl in class to start period! I was 14

I will have broadband in the shop but just not at home for the evenings unless a neighbour has it unsecured so I can hijack it!! Do you think it is unreasonable to ask the landlady to at least have a phone line installed (£125 from BT) - it is a new property and she has never paid for it to be done. Then at least we can access dial up.

Lizzzombie · 15/03/2008 08:04

Rgee - have a look at the footglove range in the bigger M&S shops. As I'm on my feet all day at work they really help as they are padded inside. but some of them are a bit old ladyish

Wilkie - omg! Is there an internet cafe nearby? Or can you use dial up?

Kat - congratulations on your BO (big one!) passing the 11+ thats fab news!

2Happy - My parents live near Bridport, not far from Exeter (ish) there is also Monkey World to visit, and Lyme Regis on the coast is a lovely little town to visit. Hth. Have a good time.

DJ seems a bit better today. We've kept him off milk since yesterday morning, and just given him hot water. he was NOT a happy baby last night! He refused the coke completely. But has guzzled a whole piece of toast this morning so for him thats a huge meal. Fingers crossed it firms him up inside a bit!

Have a good weekend everyone. I'm off to work x

eandh · 15/03/2008 08:11

Morning

Manic day at work yesterday as I am off till 28th now (monday as holiday then friday/monday bank hols)

Wilkie - I would expect a phone line to be included in any rental property, after all not everyone has mobiles do they?

2happy - we have a diggerland near here, sh took ellie they got to the gates she freaked at the ride where you sit in the scoop bit of digger and they left (luckily hadnt paid)Would not fancy an 8 hour drive though!

Hattie has gone back to wanting milk between 2 and 3am I am hoping shes just making up from when she was ill

Rgee - hope you have a good day

Lizz - Hattie accidentally had some fizzy coke (dh left glass on floor) she was not impressed, think the bubbles got up her nose

Kat - well done to dd passing 11+, is she going to grammar school (I went to one under duress as I passed but didnt want to go my parent made me but I loved it)

PCF - your rings sound very similar to our wedding rings

Going into town at 9 with both girls (dh at work) to try and get new bra and top for tonight (bet I get in one shop they stress me out and we come home) and going to see my parents this afternoon. DH has promised to take them out tomorrow morning so I can have a big clean of house and some time to myself (although need to do loads more bits for preschool easter fayre)

eandh · 15/03/2008 08:14

We went to dorset for our 1st 'family' holiday when Ellie was 9 months old (haven caravan but we got a brand new one so was fab!) went with loads of friends with LO's and loads to do we loved monkeyworld, the aquarium and some lovely beaches but bot sure if its near where you are goinjg.

Lizz - glad DJ eating

Rgee - bypassed the shopping bit - have to say I am not good at comfy shoes, pre dd's I'd never wear less that a 2.5" heel and even nough I have to have wedges or heels (occasionally my timberlands for long walks) but depending on bank balance you may have encouraged me to buy some shoes as well

eandh · 15/03/2008 08:33

like these if I can get right top

in fact like laods of these

maybe this top and black trousers

laughalot · 15/03/2008 11:13

Oh did you get anything eah ? And where are you off to tonight then ? I am suprised you dident give your opinion on my trunki dilema ! I bet you choose the one I think

eandh · 15/03/2008 11:54

I missed that link I like towgo Ellie was here when I opened that link and she likes TRixie (?) the pink one (what a surprise) My brother said about getting those for EandH for Christmas but since we are going on eurostar with suitcase and buggy etc dh was mpanicking about how much he'd end up pulling around

Am off out with preschool Mums tonight (my first proper night out rather than a school business meeting in a pub) we are going into town. I bought a black with white spots fitted blouse that has a black patent skinny belt around it, new dark black fitted jeans (in sale for £8!) found some gorgeous black patent mary jane shoes but none in my size very nearly bought a chiffon black blouse with a corset style thing around the middle but made my boobs stick up around my chin so wasnt sure about that!

Then Hattie got bored of being in buggy so we left (via Next where Ellie got a top and hairband and Hattie got a tshirt saying 'i am the little sister!') also got Ellie a easter bucket for her egg hunt at school on Tuesday (in poundland )

eandh · 15/03/2008 12:03

Actually I love frieda!

laughalot · 15/03/2008 12:07

Nope iv ordered towgo . Outfits sound fab you lucky lady xxxx

eandh · 15/03/2008 12:11

I knew you would have ordered that one

My nan has given the girls £50 each for easter I may buy trixie for Ellie and frieda for Hattie and put the rest in their savings accounts

2HappyEaster · 15/03/2008 12:27

Toss the easter eggs this way!

laughalot · 15/03/2008 13:53

I want £ 50.00 for easter

Wilkie · 15/03/2008 13:57

Yeah! Can you rent your Nan out to us all please??

Hmmm, come on then - 2Happy has started the easter name comp. What shall it be...

2HappyEaster · 15/03/2008 14:04

Wilkie - easterWILKIEepusinchocolate
Laughalot - laughalotofminieggs
Reggie - ReggiEasterBunny
kw3 - katwith3creameggs

bored and unimaginative today!

Lizzzombie · 15/03/2008 14:25

Woo hoo! I had a half day and I'd forgotten!
Boo - its raining though.

So, am looking into holidays. For May time. Am thinking Majorca as a few people have enjoyed it there. BUT, I don't know which resort to go for. Any ideas anyone?

I neeeeeeeeeeed a holiday, then I can buy a Frieda trunkie too! But they look a bit small. How cool would it be if they did adult sizes.

Also, I'd forgotten about passports. I guess DJ needs one. Doh.

Lizzzombie · 15/03/2008 14:26

One more thing:

Lth - DJ's little friend who he goes to nursery with has the most evil chicken pox....poor little mite she looks like shes covered in acne.

laughalot · 15/03/2008 14:39

Alcudia - good family resort long transfer though from airport about 2 hours.

Palma nova would be ok for may 45 min ish transfer.

eandh · 15/03/2008 15:56

no we went to palma nova (pre kids) worse holiday we have ever had!

Lizz - Just got Hatties passport very cute but £46 for 5 years we needed to have it for September but doubt we'll go abroad next year, am so glad chicken pox is over and done with in this house.

2happy - how are you today? (apart from bored)

My Nan is very sweet with the girls (even though she has another great grandchild as my cousin had a boy in December) the girls get v.spoilt as Ellie was her 1st great grandchild and also I make the effort to drive the hour each way to her house once a month so she sees them regulary. She colects all her £2 coins and then they get random £50 given to them (obviously Ellie used to get loads as she was the only great grandchild for ages but now she has to split it with Hattie, cousins ds and Nan gives my brothers stepson some as well)

E and H have had early dinner as they are both so moany and tired, baths at 5pm and bed by 6pm the latest I cannot bea to listen to them moaning and whinging anymore (Dh just got home so they are his now!)

Wilkie · 15/03/2008 17:13

2Happy - that was a poor effort on my name Nother one please..!!

Lizz - personally would go to Cala D'Or in Majorca. Lovely quiet resort with nice bars and restaurants in the evening. Gorgeous little beach cove - DH and I have discussed going there in Sept actually.

BF and I went to farm this afternoon and the boys just loved it. J was Fearless Fred as usual and stuck his hand in all the animals mouth! BTW - have bought him a wrist strap instead of reins - found it works loads better and he just trots along beside me like a little dog

Feeling a bit low today with the move. Just got very scared and worried I'm gonna be lonely. Have met/emailed a really really lovely MNer who has been helping me out so can't wait to meet up with her - she is living about 3 mins away from me!

laughalot · 15/03/2008 17:33

Wilkie im sure you will be fine it will take time but before you know it you will have loads of mates.

Eah not ignoring your text but 02 pay and go top up is down !!!!! So I cant top up so annoying. The winnigs will go on our summer holiday. Go on get a trunki .

Right going to bath kids then we are going to get a chinese takeaway nom nom xxxx

eandh · 15/03/2008 18:37
