If it's as good in doubles mode as in singles I'd recommend the P&T. Quite heavy though

Did someone mention buggies...?

milkyJammy · 28/02/2008 20:12

I've just voted Daisy

Not really foxy, just having a down in the dumps day. I lost my temper and raised my voice (ok shouted) at DD a couple of times which makes me feel rubbish but it's done now.

DCs both asleep, dinner in the oven and DH out for the evening. Hopefully dinner, chocolate and an early night will sort me out by tomorrow.

FairyFay · 28/02/2008 20:13

I love my P&T

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/02/2008 20:18

Daisy I will vote in a sec. Lovely pic btw! You are very beautiful!

If I were to get a double pushchair again I'd get an Icandy Apple with Pip to make and Icandy Pear. See here. Much more versatile than the P&T and much more lightweight. You can also put carrycots and car seats on it. Downside is that it is mucho wonger, about £500ish.

Foxy, you are not being precious at all. I hope the little boy's mum told him off. I'd have been mortified if one of my dcs did that.

milkyJammy · 28/02/2008 20:40

I'm tired. Am meant to be working but have managed half an hour and am worn out. Will do the rest tomorrow.

The jamlet has really got into hiding/peek a boo. A blanket, a muslin, a book are all used to play this to her great amusement. it is very cute though. not so cute is when she starts snogging my chin. It's too slimey to be cute

Daisy, firstly you've got to decide if you are a side-by-side girl or a infront-and-behind. Personally I'm side by side.

How much space you have to store the buggy at the end of the day is a factor. My big side-by-side (from Kiddicare, never liked it, should have sent it back) stays in the boot of the car or clogs up the hallway. one. I bought it because it was the lightest, and I was going to be pushing them around a lot.

My other side-by-side is a Mamas and Papas Twin Aria and concertina folds nice and flat and has a stand to go against the wall. It also has a great, easily accessible shopping bit underneath.

For a while you can use single and sling. I'd avoid buggy boards as they fuck up your buggy.

Car wise you can get 3 car seats in a row in many cars. But personally I would go for a Zafira. Not too big, but adaptable. The back two seats fold down to create a large boot, or I think you can just fold down one.

IMHO

foxythesnowman · 28/02/2008 20:49

Ahh, bless Jamlet.

foxythesnowman · 28/02/2008 20:54

Righto, I'm off.

Hope you all have restful nights x

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/02/2008 20:57

Can I just say how brillo my dp is? He came home this evening with flowers and chocs for me! It is 5 years today that we met and I forgot ! I am a real bitch! I feel awful, but tbh I didn't even know what the date was! It's not something I take notice of in my day to day life!

Foxy, I'm more of a tandem double person myself. I think it's because I'm a bit of a retard and very uncoordinated and I can't handle the width of a side by side! I crash into things with a single, I'd be a bloody walking hazard with a side by side!

Jammy, that's so funny! My ds was doing the exact same thing just now and I took a video of it on my phone. I was going to put it on fb, but I don't know how!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/02/2008 20:58

Night foxy, hope you are ok xxx

Sputnik · 28/02/2008 21:05

Holly you just reminded me it's my wedding anniversary. I usually only remember cos my Mum sends a card. I probably mentioned that to her as she doesn't seem to have bothered sending one this year
Basically we lived together so long I keep forgetting we actually got married. It took me ages to stop refering to myself as DH's girlfriend.

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 28/02/2008 21:09

Holly I wanted to sympathise with the scratching! My boobs are covered in scratches from when DD is feeding, and at night she likes to stroke [read: pull] my hair. Her best trick is to get her thumb and forefinger round my lip and pinch (try it - fucking hurts!). I've tried a nursing necklace but she ends up just eating it instead of feeding

Sputnik · 28/02/2008 21:10

I got a chin snog too the other day. I mean, I love Baby Sputnik to bits but there are limits!

Speaking of whom he is pretty poorly, he has a horrible sounding cough and he keeps waking up and having to be held up to get back to sleep. Am off in a minute as I think I'm going to have a long night.

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 28/02/2008 21:12

How lovely for the flowers Holly. I can't remember when DH and I got together (mostly as we were both too drunk!)

So, are we all expecting mother's day presents this year?

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 28/02/2008 21:13

Yep, chin, nose and cheek snogs here too - urgh!

Sputnik · 28/02/2008 21:14

Hiya Bumper
DD used to maul me like that.

Sputnik · 28/02/2008 21:18

Funny, I can remember when we, erm, got together first time.
Even though that was back in the Bronze Age sometime.

Sputnik · 28/02/2008 21:20

OK, I'm off. The baby is making a very loud sort of strangled noise as a cough. Think we'd better get down the docs tomorrow.
Night all.

HellHathNoFury · 28/02/2008 21:24

for mothers day I get....

..... to cook Thai for 11 people so MY mum doesn't have to cook.
Lucky me.
When I was told asked to do it I felt awkward saying 'well hey it's my mothers day too'.
So now I am lumped with it. Lucky me.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/02/2008 21:26

Hope baby sputnik is better soon. How funny that we have the same anniversary!

Bumper, my ds does the pulling lip thing, it is bloody annoying! He scratches my lip inside then I get mouth ulcers. He also likes to stick his finger right up my nostril and scratch! I find it very hard to cuddle him as I just end up injured, mostly I swaddle him to keep the nasty little fingers away from my boobs and/or head!

I'm not expecting a mothers' day pressie, but I do hope he helps dd make me a card or suchlike. It won't be very relaxing as the boys are here, so I will prob spend the day with my mum.

Dp has next week off and I am so looking forward to it!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/02/2008 21:28

Oh, poor you fury! How stressful cooking for that many people! I will prob cook for my mum, but it will only be for 4-5 and it's not my first mother's day. It is your first one, so it should be special!

HellHathNoFury · 28/02/2008 21:30

Should be I know!

Oh well... my mother is in the middle of a nervous breakdown (virtually anything I say to her atm makes her cry, I made her cry this morning ) so I figure I can have mothers day next year!!

Oh well I am off to bed.
I am so worn out though I have planned a sickie for monday!

Night all!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/02/2008 21:32

Good idea on the sickie, you definately need it!

Night xx
