I've just been lurking on the Nov AN thread....yup there is one....and thy're talking baby slings already

Maybe I should jump on in and start evangelising about re-useable nappies.

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 16:08

jaysus I go to a meeting and I am getting 'virtual-knocked-up' already!

I am not getting PG just yet! I have just gone down a dress size, buggered if I am going up one again!

Off home now.

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 16:10

I have definitely finished making babies.

FairyFay · 27/02/2008 16:27

totally off subject, but where's Ria disappeared to?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 16:30

I think she was having pooter issues fairy.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 16:30

Me too sputnik! I hate being pregnant and I dread to think what sort of weight any other baby I have would be!

Been to dr, got abs. I don't know why they can't just write me a prescription and leave it at the counter. It is always the same. I'm very predictable!

I think I'm gonna get some of that bee stuff for next time though. It might stop the little niggle becoming full blown tonsilitis.

Can't believe there is already a Nov AN thread! Doesn't time fly when you're having fun ?!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 16:31

Yeah, she was having 'tinterweb probs.

Natty's been absent for a while too.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 16:45

hope your tonsils get sorted out soon holly....and watch out for thrush (that seems to be becoming my mantra)

have you seen what MN have done with For Sale?

look at the bottom of the topics list!

No pram section either and as far as I can tell all the current listings have disappeared into the ether. That will put the cat among the pidgehuns

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 16:45

It's not looking hopeful on the domestic goddess front her so I'd better bugger off, and at least cook some tea for my two!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 16:50

Two and a half daisy !

LOL at pidgehuns!

milkyJammy · 27/02/2008 18:06

Well i seem to have been doing a pretty good impression of a domestic goddess today (in my humble opinion anyway)

Washing done, dishwasher done, bread made, casserole in oven for tea later, jamlet entertained and fed, now having her pre-bed nap () - so I can start my evening's work a bit early tonight May be back later depending how it goes... If not have nice evenings everyone!

Ooooh, just got to share this gem with you

In the UK in 1997 the average dry mass of solids produced from sewage was approximately 55 g per day per person.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 18:53

thanks andie....not you then?

jammy that isn't a lot of poo per day really, and my what an interesting job (geddit) you have

I'm off for the evening. I'm sure DH and I will have LOTS to talk about. Wish me luck

FairyFay · 27/02/2008 19:17

Good luck Daisy!

It will definitely NOT be me anytime soon . I'm really thrilled and excited for Daisy though.

Nice statistic Jammy. That doesn't sound like much to me.

Andiem, sorry to hear that DS2 is poorly. Foxy, is DD any better?

Holly, have the abs kicked in yet? I had my tonsils out when I was 27 and it was the best thing I ever did - I used to have miserable winters with one bout of tonsilitis followed by another with hardly a break so I feel your pain. Now that they are gone, I still get sore throats occasionally but without the feeling of dread that it's going to turn into tonsilitis.

Thanks for the info about Ria. I was just a bit concerned as she seemed quite down the last few times she was on here.

Everyone else, hello

Bugger, how did that happen

BumperliciousNeedsaGlassofWine · 27/02/2008 19:42

Ooooh daisy, big congrats. i know you will be sharing your time between two thread now but please don't fark off and leave us! you are going to do a great job. i am so pleased for you. fingers crossed all goes well.

my bet's on fury next, then jammy then foxy!

i got broody for the first time since dd today. at my peer supporter training we watched video on the breast crawl and the bubbas were so teeny and perfect. definitely not me for a while though, i'm struggling to cope with just one!

milkyJammy · 27/02/2008 19:52

55 g per day does not seem like a lot - but remember that is the DRY weight, and although it may seem solid, most of the sewer sludge is still water.

OP posts:
LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 20:05

well that went well

DH is even smiling and telling me to sit down with my feet up .

And, he has a 2nd interview for a job in Bradford on Friday, so maybe it's all coming together Chez Boo.

Yay!

I'll be disappearing for a couple of days now though, as DH is working from home the rest of the week and will be hogging the pooter.

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 20:08

That's great, and best of luck to your DH for the job

FairyFay · 27/02/2008 20:09

Yay Daisy. Make sure he spoils you while he's home and fingers crossed for his interview.

Good point Jammy, I hadn't thought about it like that - but then I don't spend much time thinking about sewer sludge

foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 20:22

Yay

You make me laugh Jammy

milkyJammy · 27/02/2008 20:24

Now here are some good ones:

(Omniverous) People eat each year, on average

75 kg fruit
80 kg green veg
130 kg potatos and root veg
45 kg beef
25 kg mutton
300 l milk
30 kg chicken
600 l water
40 kg fish

Jammy, There's one vital foodgroup missing - how much CHOCOLATE do they eat?
