PMSL out loud at the tee shirts

and obviously I was referring to my DHs dysfunctional family and DHs missing bit of anatomy, not foxy's DPs...

milkyJammy · 26/02/2008 21:34

ok I'm off to bed. Fingers crossed for peaceful nights for us all. Night all.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 26/02/2008 22:00

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 26/02/2008 22:01

has everyone gone?

I'm still listing my nappies. I'm on No6 out of 23

Sputnik · 26/02/2008 22:04

Bugrit, I was supposed to be having an early night. Best be off

Sputnik · 26/02/2008 22:06

My DH is a dab hand at putting nappies on sleeping toddlers. He says if you're determined and don't faff they (well DD) don't wake up.

Sputnik · 26/02/2008 22:08

Daisy, the Nappy Lister.
Right, really off now.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 26/02/2008 22:11

night sputnik

Sputnik · 27/02/2008 09:11

Well Hallelujah and praise the lord, Baby Sputnik didn't wake up and scream inconsolably last night
I'm off to buy us some matching "Jesus was a boob man" t-shirts

HellHathNoFury · 27/02/2008 09:15

yay sputnik

DS DID wake in the night. Often. Tonight I shall force feed him mash to see if I can get another nights sleep in.

Earthquake was rather fun though.

Sputnik would you recommend living in Italy? We are SO up for an overseas move and are checking out our options but had ruled out italy because of the lack of work (for IT nerds) and language barrier. How do you find it?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 09:20

I told you my praying would work!! Hallelujah praise the lord

Poor you fury! Hope you get some sleep tonight and are not too knackered today.

I feel even worse and have a dr appt at 3.30. Hopefully they'll be able to put me back on the waiting list to have my tonsils out.

foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 09:31

Tell us about the Earthquake Fury!

Or was it DH making the Earth move for you (again!)?

Oh poor Holly. I really hope they get it sorted for you. You do suffer with it. Ice cream and crisps for you today m'dear.

Yay for Baby Sputnik! Perhaps Holly can waft some sleeping baby vibes this way. I have become LO's dummy. (No jokes at my expense, please!)

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 09:36

EARTHQUAKE?? WTF??

Foxy, I shall do some praying for you this evening! Not sure to whom I am praying, but it seems to work...just like my wafting!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 09:41

oooh, I felt the earth move too

I was still awake as I couldn't sleep last night and was just nodding off when it happened. It felt like someone was shaking the end of the bed, and the windows and bedside table were rattling. I was in that odd place beween waking and sleeping and sat up shouting as I though someone was in the house shaking the bed! It was over so quickly and i wasn't sure whether I'd dreamt it or not, but I got up and wandered around the house checking on the DCs and looking outside to see oif the roof had caved in or something.

Funny thing is though, that in the 20mins or so before it, my nips got realllly, unbearably sore, but it stopped as soon as the shaking stopped! Do you think the British Geological Survey would be interested in giving me a job as Earthquake detector?

It was 5.2 on the richter scale, epicenter in N Lincolnshire and lasted for 10 secs apparently!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 09:41

and it happened just before 1am.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 09:44

hope you can get your tonsils sorted holly; I used to get it bad when i was younger and it is no fun at all......

Foxy, is it a growth spurt?

DD slept from 8 till 6 last night, the first time in ages; it's a pity I didn't get to sleep till after 1:30.

Jammy; the courier is coming today so you should get your parcel on Friday at the latest!

foxythesnowman · 27/02/2008 09:49

Oh what a bugger for you Daisy. Best you have a lazy day then

No, I don't think its a growth spurt, but a side-effect of co-sleeping. If she were in her cot she's probably only wake up once. I don't really mind, but its compounded by DD1 coming into bed at 2am with her cough, setting off the voice activated nightlight/music thingy, DD2 coughing and me worrying she's going to vomit. She also hasn't had much in the way of solids over the last couple of days so has upped her milk intake. I did whisk her tea away from her last night as I had to take her to the doctors. Bad mom.

But when I did get back my lovely neighbour had bathed the kids, and done all the clearing up from tea.

And the Council are investigating that parking ticket.

And the sun is out.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 09:50

ROFL daisy!

I just went on the natural baby resource site to buy some BGs and they've all gone !

Have found this though. May be a good deal. Or this.

I WANT SOME BUMGENIUS!

I'd really better go and do some housework, my house is a shithole!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 27/02/2008 09:55

holly, what about some Drybees or greenkids

i was talking to nappyzone the other day and she said that Drybees make up the bulk of her personal stash and are much uner-rated as a pocket nappy. I think it says something that she was raving about the cheaper one on her site and not just trying to fleece (boom! boom!) as much money out of me as possible.

Mine shold be arriving today so I'll let you know how I get on with them.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 27/02/2008 10:09

YUM! Thanks daisy, I shall investigate!
