sorry spb, didn´t mean to ignore you. meant to say it´s too late! lol besides I´d given him yog at 10am so it would mean he´d entirely missed lunch otherwise...

Maveta · 14/02/2008 12:25

hahaha lol, do you promise to book flights home though?!

will just check dates with dh and let you know

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 12:27

maveta are you sure it's not a delay thing? if not then no, I don't get it!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/02/2008 12:38

oooh
can fly out and back
30th April returning 8th May
£79.94 for me and the boys and skott

if that would be ok with you then I'll do it!

don't mind if you want to find us a cheap b&b for some of it so we're not stuck under your feet all week x

Maybe the timer is for separate cycles - I have a washer dryer but I think our old washing machine had options to do an extra spin and things like that. You can wash stuff of similar colour but different fabrics and take out more delicate/synthetic things before giving other stuff a bit of an extra spin.

oooggs · 14/02/2008 12:43

maveta I would try and get back on track with his normal feeding - however you can - it is probably just me but with 3 of them we eat at set ish times each day

morning bottle (anytime 2am-7am )
breakfast 8am
lunch 12-12.30pm
tea 4.30-4.45pm
bedtime bottle 6.45pm (ds1 bedtime drink at same time)

whoever is here eats at those times, dh and I have always eaten early before children so it fits with us as he is home at 4.20pm but had his lunch at 11.30am (work sets this)

Sexonlegs · 14/02/2008 14:20

Hi all

Just nipping on as am at work, but a bit bored!

Elkie, how spooky re the valentines card. Hope you are ok.

MJ, hope you are having a lovely day with ds.

Maveta, glad you had such a good night - long may it last!

Our pattern is milk and breakfast at 7.30
lunch at midday
milk at 2.30
tea at 5.00
Bath at 6.30
milk at 6.56/7.00

So, K eats breakfast with me, and tea with B. Lunch she has on her own (obv me there feeding her!!)

POTC, sounds like a great deal on the flights

Pesha, please do email me with your cover letter

SPB, has your water come back yet???

All ok here. Feeling a bit better today, but I am so incredibly short tempered atm. I think it is pmt. Poor B got the brunt of it this morning. She doesn't help by not listening to a word I ask/say, but I did feel awful after shouting at her.

Better head. Back later. xx

cazboldy · 14/02/2008 14:41

Good luck Dippy x

Molly has milk at 8am
breakfast at 9.30
lunch at 12.30 with a drink
milk again at 4.30
dinner at 6.30
bedtime milk at 8 pm

she has started yelling "out" really clearly, whenever the dog comes in the living room! never realised I said it so much

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 14:59

yes, water back on - they had forgotten
need t to have another nap so I can clean the kitchen etc but it looks like he just has one long one day now, oh well that's better than nothing I suppose

Maveta · 14/02/2008 16:03

I am so so to have to come on here and say this but Ellie I don´t think you can come after all. Dh is completely and utterly not having it and while I know that sounds really awful (he hardly ever ´puts his foot down´ about anything) I can´t think of any other way to explain this about-face.

I thought he´d be fine with it, as he nearly always is with my bizarre foreign ideas and he hmmmed when I suggested it the other night which I took to mean he´d heard and understood and consented but obviously not

I really do feel so embarrassed. I see where he´s coming from and although obviously I don´t agree with him (at all!) I do feel like I have to respect his feelings about it.

If I was part-time and he was out at work all day maybe I could have pushed it saying he wouldn´t even be here anyway but it´s the other way around and I think he just feels like it would be weird.

I´m going to shut up now. I feel awful. I´m sorry.

CaptainDippy · 14/02/2008 16:57

Poor you Maveta Don't worry though sweetie, POTc will understand .xx

Back from interview - thank you for all your Good Luck messages, so sweet Think it went ok - will find out Monday .....

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/02/2008 17:14

don't be daft Maveta, of course I understand!

(he is a man, these things have to be expected )

mammyjo · 14/02/2008 17:18

Pillock, could you still look for a cheap B&B somewhere locally? That way you would still get a holiday, would still get to meet Maveta, and keep her dh happy into the bargain!!

mammyjo · 14/02/2008 17:21

Have had such a lovely day with ds today. He has behaved himself and we have done basically anything and everything he wanted to do. Painting, cooking, playing games and going off to meet his friends and their mums for lunch and playing! It has been so lovely as I hardly ever get time alone with him any more. He kept saying to me "its just us today isnt it!" all day, bless him

He and dh have gone to pick up F from nursery so fingers crossed she has had a good day too

elkiedee · 14/02/2008 17:23

That's lovely mj, if I get to have another baby I will have to come to you and all those with 2nd babies and more for advice.

oooggs · 14/02/2008 17:31

mammyjo - that sounded really nice - it is hard to juggle and get one to one with each child - but worth it when it happens
