Maveta · 14/02/2008 07:57

Hi Dooby! great to see you. In my case it is one of my cats that is driving me loopy he is currently aat my feet just miaowing at me for no reason whatsoever. He is soânnoying^. Yesterday he brought us a dead dove [ick] I know they say it´s a gift etc etc but with him I think it´s a warning

Elkie - that is horrible, really creepy. Probably teenagers thinking they´re funny trying to freak people out.

Runny - at job centre, how rude of them. glad dh made you feel better

Pesha - good luck with the application

Sorry to anyone I´ve not mentioned, got to dash now but back soon (need to whip round the house and have a shower..new washing machine should be arriving today)

N slept 8pm - 8.30am with a little feed and nappy change at 11pm SPB I thought of you when I woke up, hoping the psychic connection had worked for you too..

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 08:10

not as good as that but not bad at all thanks maveta! definitely going through a good patch. glad you had such a good night, yuo deserve it!

geordiemacminx · 14/02/2008 08:20

Hey ladies;

Well we had ANOTHER crap night - C woke at 2:40 absolutely hysterical, just wouldnt settle, sobbing his heart out bless him - took both of us 2 hours to get him off to sleep in bed with us - so we are all knackered this morning.

Elkie - that is well creepy about the card!! Although at least you got one

I made dp a cup of tea this morning and gave him his card - to be told that he had keft mine at work . To be fair I actually believe him, I know he wouldn't forget, but still. If I had left the card somewhere then I would have either stopped at the garage on the way home last night, got a crap one so that at least he had one and brought proper one home from work, otherwise I would have gone to 24HOUR Tesco once C had gone to bed - he could have picked up some flowers while he was there. I was also "informed" that he hadnt bought me a present but thought that we could do something nice this weekend . I'm actually not bothered at all about a present, and didnt expect one - but I know that he wont think of anything "nice" to do this weekend - and that he only said that to pacify me .

I was going to go to M&S this afternoon and get something nice for dinner tomorrow night... dont really feel like it now.

Sorry - Rant over.

Dooby - great to see you.

liath · 14/02/2008 08:56

Morning,
GMM, sorry it was a crap night - hope dp pulls his socks up and does something really nice at the weekend.

Elkie, that is a bit freaky - do you have any odd neighbours?

Runny, sorry the job centre was such an unhelpful experience.

Ds has started walking pushing things along, looking incredibly chuffed with himself. Dd hasn't hit him since she slapped him across the face last week and incurred serious wrath from me. She's been playing quite nicely with him so things are a lot less tense .

elkiedee · 14/02/2008 09:22

gmm, sorry to hear that your dp wasn't that romantic. Hope he does get his act together at the weekend. Maybe you could ask him what he has in mind (and check it's something you'd enjoy).

D screeching and I think it's time I tried to get him to have a nap.

Pesha · 14/02/2008 09:57

Morning all

SPB and Maveta - glad you both seem to be having better nights lately

SPB - they're all not so good jobs atm Theres one which seems ok but is 20 hours a week over 5 days when ideally I only want 16 over 3 or 4 so I get at least 1 full day at home with D while the big 2 are at school. Another is 15 hours a week but full days on thurs and friday which again isnt ideal as Friday is the day dp normally wakes up early and we get an afternoon together without big kids. But it does seem like there might be some flexibility in the days and tbh both would still be ok and manageable. Have also applied online for a job in the 3store but have no idea what days and hours are other than part time

Elkie - that does sound creepy. At first I thought kinda flattering to have secret admirer but then read it again and thought actually no, definitely creepy. Just make sure D doesnt drop any teddies outside!!

SPB - had to laugh at babies not creeps being more interactive!!

Dooby - HI!!!!

Have been feeling very tired and grumpy irritable all this week. Not sure why, I'm wondering if its PMT but without actually having the M In which case if its this bad now I dread to think what I'll be like when my hormones return to full strength. I completely lost it with the dc yesterday morning because N had lost his school shoes, M was just standing there literally looking but not actually searching saying 'I cant see them' and when I went up to N's room he had pulled his drawers and all his clothes out (had done it the night beofre but I'd only been in the dark when they wwere asleep) so I was shouting like a mad women and actually threw the drawer across the room and various toys Then came downstairs and sat outside on the back door step and had a fag to calm myself down before I picked up a child and threw them too!

cazboldy · 14/02/2008 10:13

Pesha - my ds2 emptied out his whole wardrobe last night too! his reason was because he wanted to wear a yellow t-shirt he hasn't got a yellow t-shirt so I don't know why he thought emptying his clothes out was going to help!

Elkie - that is indeed a bit creepy - especially as you have no idea who it might be. What did your dh say about it?

CaptainDippy · 14/02/2008 10:13

I am feeling much the same atm, Pesha - really run-down and at the end of my tether Did you find the shoes!!?

Elkie - what a creepy card, what a freak!! Did you tell DP?? Horrid.

GMM - hope he does do something nice this weekend sweetie. xx

Really hoping P sleeps this morning and doesn't do a reprise of yesterday morning. I have a friend coming to sit with her for a little while til DH gets home at 12pm - so hoping she sleeps!! I'm leaving at 10.30 as friend is giving me a lift to Brighton where the interview is being held. I am soooo nervous - about the interview and about P behaving herself - silly, arne't I!!? Interview is at 2pm.

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 10:20

pesha
good luck with the job hunting, bet that's stressing you out anyway at the moment

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 10:22

Dippy, if she doesn't sleep your friend will entertain her, she will be fine
And so will you!! You can do this!

mammyjo · 14/02/2008 10:22

Cd, lots of luck with the interview. Try not to worry too much about P, she will be fine

Pesha, know what you mean about losing it sometimes, I have a tendency to kick the cupboards or launch something!! Do try not to do it too often though!

Elkie, that is really creepy and a bit unsettling for you. Bloody weirdo!

I am having a day with ds today as F is in nursery. Will normally be working on Thursday, but this week I did Wednesday. We are in the middle of making a model of our house for school, then off to play with some of his friends later. Back home then to make some cakes!! Busy day, but lovely to just have some time with my boy, as our time together is virtually non existent since F came along! Have a good day all xxxx

elkiedee · 14/02/2008 10:25

dp saw the envelope which was itself quite weird before me, as he was on a late shift yesterday and was in the house when the post came, while I took D swimming. We're both a bit freaked about the card. None of the neighbours seem at all likely but it must be someone who lives in or regularly visits our streeet. Ugh.

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 10:26

elkie - you have to put this bear in your window before the nets go up!

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 10:27

ooh sorry, x post, that's a bit flippant

elkiedee · 14/02/2008 10:32

PMSL at the bear, but what if he didn't get the hint?

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 10:34

well I was looking for one with a "Piss off, loser" T shirt - maybe you'd have to make your own, but that should be fairly clear

Pesha · 14/02/2008 10:48

Lol katy

Dippy - Good luck with the interview - you will be fab because you are fab!! And P will be fine and will do what all babies do and be lovely for someone else and save all the whinging and crying for their mummy!!

Re the shoes, after launching things around his room I came out and shouted at said to Nathan again to look for his sodding shoes and he just pointed passed me and said 'they're there mummy' They were on the landing next to the dirty washing mountain pile! I'm afraid I may have sworn slightly then

MJ - hope you habve a lovely day with ds

Well D has been awake since 6 ish, had a 5 min doze on my lap while feeding but now I've put him in cot he has woken up and is playing And this will probably be it for the day now knowing him.

elkiedee · 14/02/2008 11:11

Wishing Dippy good luck although she'll have left the house now.

D has been grizzly but Bonjela and putting him in the highchair with a bit of bread to chew seems to have worked. Think it's teething and attention, perhaps tired too, rather than hunger, but it's easier for him to sit next to me in the chair.

elkiedee · 14/02/2008 11:14

Pesha, my d's nap only lasted 15 mins, I think he will sleep again but only on the way to/from baby group, I'm not going to get any more peace here!

oooggs · 14/02/2008 11:17

morning all

have a lovely day with ds mammyjo

the sun is shining so may go for a walk later

ds1 is at nursery until late

lol at bear katy

freaky card elkie

runny - hows the potty training going?

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 12:01

aargh water went off at 10am "for half an hour". Still off now. Nappies to change, bins to empty, hands to wash. If I'd known it would be this long I'd have filled the kettle and sink but for half an hour I didn't bother. I should have known better, they've done this every single time, but today I really did think it was a case of "water off - do one thing - water back on again"
Why didn't they just say???

Maveta · 14/02/2008 12:01

GMM - sorry you had a rotten night, is he not well do you think? poor C (and poor you!)

Liath - glad dd is playing nicer now, must be a relief not to be worried he´s going to be hurt everytime you turn your back!

CD you´ll be about to go into the interview - I am sending you lots of positive GIVE HER THE JOB vibes your way Hope you aren´t too nervous.

Pesha - I was like that for about a week or so before I got my period the first time, was really weird because I was feeling all over the place but nothing was happening iykwim, like you said, PMT without the M. But it did eventually turn up. yay. have to say I didn´t miss it in the slightest..

Hi Oooggs - hope you make it out for a walk - it´s come over all cloudy and miserable here.

Mammyjo - have fun with your boy

Elkie - hope D stays happy for you now

Hi SPB!

Well N is back down for a nap, already an hour gone, am not sure if he will do his normal 2 hours this morning or not after last night´s sleepathon.

I´m a bit befuddled now re. food times. When he feeds at about 4am I then give

8am brekkie
12-12.30 lunch
4.00-4,30 dinner
5.30pm breastfeed
7 ish - porridge

But this morning he didn´t have a 4am feed so when he woke at 8am ish I gave him a breastfeed - should I have just given him breakfast then?? At about 10am I gave him yoghurt and fruit and now he´s been sleeping since 12pm so might not have lunch til about 2pm. So when do I give dinner????

HELP! I´m totally confused..

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2008 12:03

Hi maveta
Can you give him something small at 2? Justa yoghurt or something? Then tea at the normal time?

Maveta · 14/02/2008 12:20

can anyone tell I´m not good with change?!

Ok so he´s up now and had his lunch, think I´ll just skip the afternoon breastfeed and give him tea at 5.30pm and then porridge at normal time should work...

oh oh oh my new washing machine arrived! yay! it is already running (couldn´t wait).

One thing I don´t understand though is that it has a function where you can select how long you want the prog to last, after a set minimum. What´s the point of this? surely everyone wants it to just take as long as it takes, not more??
