Hey pillock, have you got photos of the bristol meet up? Are they good? If you have then can you email them to me when you get a chance, or add to your profile (whatever is easier). Thankyou!

mammyjo · 12/02/2008 14:47

Sorry, that was a bit forceful and I didnt even say please

PillockOfTheCommunity · 12/02/2008 14:48

I have a confession to make on that front
I hadn't downloaded them yet, and when we went out on Sunday Joe got my camera ....

I don't know much about how it works but I can't find them now
actually I'm really peed off cos I'd taken some really nice ones of the boys too and none of them are there

Dont worry about it, they may well appear, I would have no idea how to retrieve them either. I think Runny took some too so will ask her next time she is around.
Will be a shame if you have lost nice photos of your boys though Naughty Joe

PillockOfTheCommunity · 12/02/2008 14:55

naughty Joe is getting more naughty by the day, having knocked me out on Saturday he has taken to pimching my arm when I'm holding him. simple I hear you say, don't hold him, but he only does it when I have to, like when I'm collecting M from nursery. grrrrr!

Naughty Joe has also got a liking for the phone, and no matter where you put him he always migrates to the phone within minutes.

Yesterday M was watching Ratatouille and Naughty Joe kept standing in the way. Again, move him and he went straight back. He'd stand there, turn around and grin!

And yet M still insists on waking him up when he's asleep

It does sound funny when you read it though! They can be so wicked and so damn willfull, despite being so young!

Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 15:06

Ellie, S is obsessively drawn to telephones too, especially if I am talking to someone. She gets this manic grin on her face and goes mad until she gets hold of the phone. Which she then chews and slobbers into.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 12/02/2008 15:07

It was hilarious, that's part of the problem, he's just too damn cutre to get cross with!

Hi everyone
well it would appear I also confuse Bramshott and mammyjo - not sure why??
IDOC, so pleased you and DH have talked - great newts
I agree with the sleep = more sleep thing, when T sleeps well in the day he definitely sleeps better at night. So maybe I do need to try bedtime earlier. I'll let you know how it goes tonight.
Aargh bathroom men have walked across my nicely mopped kitchen floor in their boots and spilt tea everywhere
I went to a new mother and toddler group today, T loved these tunnel things they had! As he was half in one a little boy who we sort of know came up behind him and hit him in the back with a little wooden cart he was carrying. I saw what happened, it was deliberate, but not malicious iyswim, just him being a kid. But his gran smacked him and made him apologise, which i suppose is fair enough. Didn't help that poor T was screaming like his arm had been severed (takes after daddy) as he was overtired, I don't think he was hurt at all really, justa bit put out. Am I just not used to the P&T politics?

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 15:43

T loves the phone too, not when I'm on it but when he can play with it - he showed me the other day how to find my 'previously dialled numbers'

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 15:45

Just heard from GMM - she's down here. Her ears must have been burning.
Must go and mop up spilt tea and start cooking - mince needs using today

mammyjo · 12/02/2008 15:46

Not so much the politics, just different parenting styles! Some would have hit him and their parents would have let them carry on without a care!

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 15:49

he was only 2

mammyjo · 12/02/2008 15:49

Some parent and toddler groups can be a real eye opener!

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 15:53

that bit was. It was really good - never been to such a big one with so many toys but quite a lot of the children seemed to be getting smacked for not paying attention rather than deliberate naughtiness.

CaptainDippy · 12/02/2008 16:34

Goodness! Like you said SPB - he was "just being a kid", precisely - didn't warrant a smack imho - was good she made him say "sorry" though. P&T Groups scare me

Soooo glady ou chatted with DH, IDOC - enjoy your "date" xx

Right, neeeeed to do stuff before I go to pick up DC's .....

CaptainDippy · 12/02/2008 16:35

Great thread title btw POTC

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 16:46

Love the thread title!

IDOC - great that you've been able to talk to dh - hope you get some good time together soon. Now go and make yourself a really big sandwich! Trousers hanging off is Not Good!

SPB -ooooh P&T politics - minefield! My basic rules are: never tell off anybody else's child even if they are being utterly vile - just move away, always support others in their parenting eg. by holding their baby whilst they wrestle the toddler to the floor, always take spare clothes, never count how many biscuits your little one has eaten and if there is a child who is going through a biting phase - watch them like a hawk because for some reason their parents never will!!

Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 16:46

I hate seeing little kids being smacked. Makes me very .

Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 16:48

X posts NL. Had an enormous bowl of pasta at lunch time, is that ok?

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 16:49

Yes that's fine - keep it up!

Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 16:55

No problem. Being told to eat has got to be a Good Thing, right?

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 16:56

Yes definately - you need as much energy and go as you can get - got to extract every last vitamin and mineral! I bet you need to eat more oily fish (ugh)

Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 17:02

That's ok, I like oily fish!

Does a large glass of wine count (is it too early)?

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 17:08

idoc, careful with the bottle opener, lethal things
glad it wasn't just me a bit about the smack
