Great thread title Ellie!

Just want to thank you all for worrying about me and all your good wishes You really are a bunch of lovely ladies! Hopefully I can get this sorted out, and stop being so self absorbed. I really do appreciate all the kind things you have said

Oh and I wonder if there is a nine month thingy?? Molly has just turned 10 months though - though maybe i am a bit slow on the uptake

Sexonlegs · 12/02/2008 18:13

Hi all.

Fab title!!

IDOC, I have emailed you!

SPB, really do hope you get some better nights. I tend to agree with the others, esp re the timing of going to bed making no difference to the time they wake up. Good luck!

POTC, J sounds like a right wind-up merchant!! pmsl at standing in front of the TV!

Hi Bramshott, NL, Caz and everyone else.

I have had a shite day at work so am rather preoccupied and have forgotten what I have just read. Sorry!

BAck later. x

Sorry your day at work was shite SOL Have to make up for it this evening with wine and chocolate!

Have NCT Committee meeting this evening, so need to go and read a loooong boring document about maternity services, ice a cake and cook and eat tea ..... all in the space of about 30min

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 19:38

evening all - just popping in before B goes off to bed. Girls and I successfully made spag bol this afternoon so I've got that for tea. Both big girls and B have been absolutely lovely today - B was very screechy yesterday after about 4pm (2 naps of about 40 mins maxium) Today she has been lovely all day (with one huge 2 hour plus nap in the pushchair)

We went into town and got some shoes for dd1 - hurrah! Also got lemon meringue pie from M&S - yum!

I'm quite excited because tomorrow I've got a ticket for a lecture here as part of the viking festival - 11th century battlefields - with 'TV presenter and historian, Dan Snow' - my degree was in history but I don't get much chance to use that part of my brain so I'm really looking forward to it. Don't know how B will settle but that's dh's problem! Or I hope it is - turns it he's got to go to London but he assures me he will be on the 3pm train home and thus back in time. He better be is all I can say!

SOL - sorry you have had a bad day

Dippy - enjoy your committee meeting

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 19:42

sol, sorry you've had a bad day. Did you get my email? Not pestering you, sorry, but think there's a problem with hotmail as I haven't had a few emails I was expecting today from a few different people.
NL - enjoy your lecture!

StealthPolarBear · 12/02/2008 19:43

How's his new job going BTW?

CaptainDippy · 12/02/2008 19:43

Sounds good NL - my brain has disintergrated almost entirely.

IDOC - Do take me up on my offer honey.

Sexonlegs · 12/02/2008 19:44

Hi Dippy, Luce and NL.

Dippy, good luck with getting everything done! Sounds like a hectic evening.

NL, I hope dh gets home for his sake!!

Luce, hope you and your are well.

All good here. Girls in bed, red wine open, and Holby City and Mistresses on the TV tonight - what more could a girl want...

PillockOfTheCommunity · 12/02/2008 19:47

ooh Dan Snow is yummy NL

M has started to call him Naughty Joe now, still, nothing could be worse than Joda (his own personal take on Yoda )

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 19:51

oooooh Holby City -I think I might watch that - girls watching Robin Hood on UK TV Gold right now - but can then escort them off to bed.

SPB - job going fine thanks for asking - Much better than the old one tbh - we counted up he went to Sweden 17 time in 10 months last year Considering I was at work five days a week then had a baby - it's a wonder I'm still sane!!! On the plus side he has just about got enough air miles to take us both to Stockholm for a weekend....and we have friends there who are having their second child this year.....watch this space!

elkiedee · 12/02/2008 19:52

Hi all, haven't a hope of remembering all I've read but

Caz, hope you get the house you need

SPB, I find toddler rather than baby groups too scary, and while I wouldn't shout nastily at someone else's kid I will ask them to look out.

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 19:52

POTC - I'm going purely for the history

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 19:53

no, no I am really - just the history

NorthernLurker · 12/02/2008 19:53

Hi Elkie - did you have a good trip home?

elkiedee · 12/02/2008 19:54

Love the thread title by the way, well done POTC and those who contributed to it.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 12/02/2008 19:54

OP posts:
Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 20:07

Joda - I love that.

SOL - no email - you sure it went?

Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 20:09

I can't stand Katherine Jenkins. Makes me queasy every time I see her.

Pesha · 12/02/2008 20:15

I've no idea who/what you're all talking about

PillockOfTheCommunity · 12/02/2008 20:18

honestly Pesha
Gethin is the cute Blue Peter guy I told you I liked from Strictly Come Dancing.
Katherine Jenkins comes across as a snotty, stuck-up opera bint.

look

Hello, I have just found a minute to myself and thought I should say hi! Sorry for not keeping up at all but life is a tad manic at best of times but it seems from my skim through that we are all coping with the various ups and downs that having a baby (let alone life) throws at you...just.

Life here..well we exchanged today...big sigh! It has been an absolute roller coaster of ups and downs (good idea IDOC to stay put!) but in 2 weeks we move house. I tell you I have been through divorce and birth over the last few years and they are a walk in the park compared to house moving!!!

Anyway other than that, S is doing fine - finally got the idea of crawling front wards this week although she is a rather delicate mover and would prefer me to pick her up and reposition her where she wants. (me thinks she has seen me running around like a mad woman and knows that is her future as a grown up so making the most of not moving now ) We have on going problems with urinary tract infections and many, many trips to hospitals which has been hard going. We have our consultant appointment in 2 weeks to find out the results after all the tests - so fingers crossed for her.

I am sort of back at work during the day now for 2 days which is great, found a lovely childminder which has helped.

Anyway enough about me....for what it is worth - S does not sleep through the night at all, I am still bf her (lots it seems!), DP is lovely but we get NO quality time together and so I sympathise with you all in the same boat

PillockOfTheCommunity · 12/02/2008 20:30

hey zazas great to 'see' you

OP posts:
Pesha · 12/02/2008 20:31

Nice top shes wearing

And he has a funny nose!

Zazas - lovely to see you back Sounds like things have been madness with you, hope it all gets a little easier for you after the move. And hope all is ok with S, poor thing, and they can get to the bottom of it.

Idreamofchocolate · 12/02/2008 20:37

Hi Zazas, sounds like you're on a mad roller-coaster of dealing with everything. My S only crawls backwards too and I'm wondering when she's going to twig forwards motion! Hope S's infection gets sorted out and the move goes well. Don't envy you that, although I seem to recall you're going to a very lovely new home. Hope you and DP manage to hold it together through the next few weeks and that calm descends once you get moved in and sorted out!
