largeginandtonic · 09/02/2008 12:38

Morning all.

Nice to see you back MrsJB, been too quiet without you! Hope J is ok today?

TYG poor A, how is the bruise this morning?

I have been ebaying this morning, hoping to make some money this month as we are broke due to the chickens needing a run!

No fox last night, dh wee'd everywhere (you are supposed to to scare the fox off) so that could be why.

Cam J sounds like he is loving the sun and being mobile. They are always happier when they can move.

Abby your cake is bloomin FAB!!! Well done you The kids are so scrummy too.
Must go and get the mini demons lunch.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/02/2008 13:26

Abby beautiful photo's two real smilers there. Cake looks fab, it's 10 times better than I could do. I can't even melt chocolate without burning it and having to throw the bowl away.

lg&t, LOL at N p**ing in the garden, you've got enough men there for easy aiming. tehe.... I haven't seen J yet this morning, been to gym with Maddie and J is back in bed now but dh says she is OK although we still haven't given her any milk. We'll try to reintroduce it slowly later today.

How's the boil cim? Isn't there a back of a hot spoon trick of something. Could be an old wives tale.....?

Forgot to say that J is on the move. She is too lazy to get on her hands and knees so crawls comando style across the floor. (easy on tiles) she is very funny, looks like a slug but she is quick!!

Pebble, we did two lines. No win here either. 130million euros would have been perfect!!

Sun is shinning, may find something to do in the garden, chop some trees or something. Sis arrives tomorow with Alfie.... Woooo Hooo, I'm so excited I can't wait to see them both.... gonna deep breathe that smell. Is it still there at 11 weeks?

Juicylucytoo · 09/02/2008 16:45

I've heard about the warm milk and bread compress too - think my DH is just too impatient!

O is getting ready to crawl. So a regular little misery guts at the moment, what with his cold, and frustration at not being able to crack the crawling and not getting his own way during the night.

It's a bundle of laughs here and to top it all I've got now his cold. Fab.

Hope everyone is happier than me today.

juliewoolie · 09/02/2008 19:55

I am begining to hate buying and selling, how come we have nothing but brilliant feedback and are told our flat is very reasonably priced but no fucker one will buy it!

why wont someone buy this

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/02/2008 20:38

I don't know JW It's beautiful, but buying and selling is not a joy, it takes time.......Boring I know but true!

I have NEVER lived in or near London but I nearly spat my tea over the PC when I saw how much it is worth. I had NO idea of the property prices in the UK now.
I really hope the right buyer comes along quickly for you. xx

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/02/2008 20:40

Sorry Jucy, I meant to say I really hope you feel better soon. You'll need your strength when O makes the moves!

Lupins71 · 09/02/2008 21:32

Hi all, hope everyone is well as are the little but getting much bigger bundles

Life has been manic, we (well my mum)has just put a deposit on a farmhouse cottage in the sticks for us - its lovely and we will have a spare room so you are all welcome to visit sunny devon, only have 9 day to pack as we are going on the 18th, our village has about 10 houses 3 farms and a pub - which is right next door, not even a shop lol

LGT when you are in plymouth again let me know and we can meet up

Welsome to Tilly, are you sure you want to join the mad house thread lol!!

Arlen is really strong on his feet, but still wont move of his arse - just like his father lol!!, he has 6 teeth and chomps everything, had his 1st chip today and wanted more little porker

Cant believe it is less than 2 months till he is 1 - where the hell has the time gone??

Right off for a bath and an early night, promise to catch up on thread tomorrow night, after swimming and seeing dp's family, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when am i supposed to pack, dont even have a van or many boxes lol!!

mom2latinoboys · 09/02/2008 21:55

JW don't worry. Our house has been on the market since October. We've lowered it about $27,000 and yet no one will make an offer, however the feedback from the realtor is that it is wonderful, people love it. We average about 2 showings a week (have had 2 today as a matter of fact) and nothing. So since October I have had to leave the house immaculately clean everyday in case someone comes over.

This market is terrible.

cameroonmama · 10/02/2008 04:46

Lups - that is brilliant! How exciting for you all. Where abouts in Devon?

Julie sadly we tried for 10 months, with the same feedback as you, no joy. Conversely the very first people to look at our cottage with a view to renting took it within the hour. Unfortunately tis the market . I must say its very swish I can picture you all now

MrsJB i hope J is feeling better today.

You too Juicy, even the very easy going J had a rough week last week just before he could crawl and now having managed he is back to his happy self, so hopefully not long til O manages.

LG&T, its good to know men are useful for something

Dh is coming home today with a suitcase full of nappies and formula.

juliewoolie · 10/02/2008 08:52

Hi all,

tantrum over am sure we are goign to lose out on our house tis so frustrating we were last night considering dropping the price of our place then we saw one 2 floors up for 100K more than ours same size - ridiculous.

JL how are you doing lovey is O still not playing ball at night, we have the snot monster here as well and DP and I came down with it too so thoroughly miserable here too. Hope you are feeling better lets try catch up this week, when you free?

Crawling frustrated shouting too although he is now pulling himself to standing on virtually everything then falling sideways as he forgets to move his legs. Think we might be there by the end of the week. Bring on the babyproofing.

Cam have thngs calmed down a little now or is the violence still widespread it doesnt seem to be being reported quite as much now.

LG&T how are the chickens has DH's wee kept the fox at bay?

TAM have you boiled a fresh needle in preperation for the slicing and dicing.

LUPS thats very exciting about the house when are you off?

Scoot hows you back hope DH has taken soome of the strain so to speak this weekend.

MRS JB nice to see you how revolting sickness and the runs is J back on milk again?

ABBy your LO are gorge its amazzing to think we will start to celebrate 1st birthdays soon.

NAT sorry about the job I hope you find something else.

Right off to de snot Archie before his morning nap.

Lupins71 · 10/02/2008 08:54

CAM its in a teensy weeny village called chipshop, blink and you miss it, there is about 10 houses 3 farms and a pub - not even a shop lol nearest shop is 2 miles, dd will get collected by school bus as its too far to walk, really is sticksville lol, its just outside tavistock tho so not too far from civilisation

off swimming this morning - dreading getting in swimsuit have put on so much weight with all the stress lately - why cant i be someone that loses their appetite when under stress

largeginandtonic · 10/02/2008 11:01

Hello Lups, lontime no see!!! Lovely part of the world you are moving to. Tavistock has a lovely Cheese sho, great market and fab shop called Crebers. It sells all sorts of yummy things

Have posted pics of chickens and coop!

Pebblemum · 10/02/2008 11:58

Just a quickie as im trying to declutter my house (never ending task with 3kids)

Suite turned up yesterday, its smaller than my old one and so makes my living room look bigger. Dh isnt too sure about it, said it wasnt that comfy but then proceeded to fall asleep on it for 3hrs

Alana stood up on her own yesterday, she let go of the sofa and just stood until she tried to walk and fell over lol. She has now started walking along with her push along walker. Dh has decided he doesnt want her walking for ages yet, she is into everything now so when she is on the move properly nothing will be safe

JW if I had lots of money and no kids I would buy your place. Its gorgeous. Am sure someone will snap it up soon

Lupins71 · 10/02/2008 13:13

lgt - did a small fortune in said cheese shop and crebers on thurs lol, lovely yummys

pebble cant believe A is walking well done her

mom2latinoboys · 10/02/2008 13:49

Good morning. It is a beautiful day, cold, but beautiful here. We were all up to see the sunrise, which was lovely.

Got a call from my mom in China she really likes it, but is sick of seeing temples. Mateo was happy to hear from her and then continued to tell her about the soup he ate last night.

I don't want to go to work today. Honestly I'm tired of seeing Osh Kosh clothes (that's where I work by the way). I want to stay home all day and snuggle my kids.

largeginandtonic · 10/02/2008 14:44

JW your flat is gorgeous!!! Why on earth is is not selling, some people are barmy. How are you feeling? Did you tell lots of people and so now have the awful task of explaining every 5 minutes?

Latinomom is just LOVE Osh Kosh! My fave type of clothes, quite hard to get over here. If you have any good sales let me know and i may send some dollars over!

Glad you found Crebers, the charity shops are also fab in Tavvy. Lots of retired doctors and boden mommies

juliewoolie · 10/02/2008 15:37

Thanks it is gorge if you can get past DP's awful taste in glass and leather dining furniture, its going in the bin when we move.

Beautiful day here been to the park for a good tramp around and Archie had his first try on the swings he loved it. Thought he might flake out for a good long nap this arvo but is lying in his cot chatting.

Feeling sort of ok am a little depressed but I think its a mixture of house things and the miscarriage and DP goes back to work tom so will be on my own again so am planning a busy week as I dont think its a good idea to sit mulling it all over. Thankfully although pretty much everyone we knew knew about the pregnacy they have been fab about bothering us we told a few people and they have passed along the news and when asked we have said we are dealing with it together and dont want a big thing made out of it.

largeginandtonic · 10/02/2008 15:44

Good answers, stops people in their tracks that way. Tis good to talk about it but only when you want to. Agree that glas dinning table would be a nightmare, imagine the grubby chubby finger marks

Now i looked at your flat LOOK AT MY CHICKEN HOUSE

Come and see me if you like, i am free again next week. The poorly twin is going back to school wahooooooooo!

juliewoolie · 10/02/2008 17:43

its great! much better idea than having DH pee outside all the time surely the Navy frown on that sort of shenanigins.

cameroonmama · 10/02/2008 17:53

Wow check that out LG&T! When can I move in? I shall send you a pic of ours tomorrow (its night time now) and you will laugh your head off!

M2LB, I love Oshkosh too, especialy those light blue and pink striped dungarees, so cute. But I can see how it might get a bit wearing after time.

Julie how do you keep the table clean??!! Frankly I gave up keeping the place clean all the time in case there was a viewing and just would 'tidy' the toys away into the nearest cupboard, flush the loo and wipe down the sink. Slovenly, that's me.

cinnamontam · 10/02/2008 20:34

Hello lovelies

LG&T - chicken house is fab. Lucky little blighters

Julie - your flat is gorgeous. Someone will want it soon, I'm sure of it.

Thankyou for all the boil related advice. Did a combination of garlic and onion mash on it and then last night tea tree oil and very VERY glad to say that um...stuff came out...it's gone down and I can now lounge on couch as per normal. THANK GOD!

scootermum · 10/02/2008 20:44

Hi all,

Lovely gaff JW..Id have it off you if I had the cash..we didnt get or lotto numbers either needless to say..I am around this week and next JW for meet ups in line with the keeping busy plan

Hey Mrs JB..Glad to see you back..and that you are over the yucky bug..bit of the 3 pounds though..

Hey Lups!Lucky you moving to Tavvy..Thats where I was when I had my heamorrage after having Mae...if you're going to have one you might as well have one somewhere nice

Lils has some lovley Oshkosh bits sent from her American cousins..but even the osh kosh sint as good as being at home with the nippers..

Hello to everyone else [big wave]

Hvae had a very busy weekend..yesterday we went to the country park which was lovely..until..we were just turning into our road when DH says 'did you put the buggy in?'Er..no, I didnt put anything in as my back will not bend at all, and he was doing it, but he got thirsty in the middle and went to the ice cream van to buy some water...I assumed he'd put it in..but no, instead he'd walked right past it, got in the car and driven us all home So back we drive, (40 mins with both kids yelling for their tea by that time)Fortunately it was still there in the car park.I cried with relief..then gave him a huge rollicking!Wolly!

I went out last night with the girls from Lilys antenatal class, which was lovely..but we were still drinking in the restaurant at 1.30 this morn so feel a bit 'tired' today..Up early this morning to take L to little kickers (football class thingy)She is the only girl but she looks so cute in her little kit, and she is really quite scrappy with all the boys..then duck feeding by the river, then friends round for lunch, then we rounded the day off at the cm's 5 yr olds birthday disco...(which was total bedlam, 40 5 year olds running wild-Lily dancing away)
So am about ready for my bed now..

Feeling very resentful and a bit nervous about work meeting tomorrow..and also as it means leaving the kids all day (or most of it)and I just dont want to at all..but spose had better get used to it as only 2 weeks left (unless they make me redundant [hopeful emoticon]
Feel like I cant be bothered with any of it now..also my back has been possessed by the devil..Lord is is giving me some gyp!

Night all anyway..wish me luck for the morrow..

AprilMeadow · 10/02/2008 20:50

Evening

Just returned from a lovely weekend in London. Our friends (Ellas godparents) had the kiddies so that meant that it was just dh and I Stayed in the Jumeriah Carlton Tower on Cadogan Place, was lovely and in a great location. Popped into Harrods and after buying ds some cars and of course the obligatory KK's we left! Spent Sat am shopping and then headed back to the hotel spa before heading out to Claridges for dinner. More shopping this am and then home for 4pm.

Just had a quick skim through.

MrsJB hope you have a fab time with your sis and nephew.

M2lb, gross story but i have to confess that i am digger and delver as well.

Tam hope the boil doesnt bother you for long.

LG&T, nice chicken run. LOL at N marking his territory

Julie, your flat looks lovely, i hope you find a buyer very soon. Any chance of your addy?

JLT, i was speaking to the lady doing my massage about how J doesnt sleep and she suggested Mandarin oil or Lavender oil on a tissue and when its nap time/bed time/ quiet time just whip it out and it should help to calm them down. They will soon leanr to associate it with naps etc and go off quicker and quicker. She said that as J is nearly 3 i could add to a base oil of either sunflower or almond (would need to check what you could use for O) and do a bit of baby massage just before bed time. Either that or a bit of cranial something or other (cant remember the name)

Abby, your bubbas are just gorgeous and the cake was fab!!

Lups, NEED to get over to the Oracle for a cuppa pronto then. Will look in the diary and text you with a date

Big hello to everyone else xx

Juicylucytoo · 10/02/2008 22:59
