Sorry, best I could come up with in between making tea and trying to get Lils off to bed before the football starts...

Welcome Nat

I echo what everyone has said about LG&T, she puts the rest of us to shame

Julie, Make sure you rest for the next couple of days, when i had my D&C I decided to let dh take me out to Asda and then a meal and was suprised at how bad I felt afterwards. After that I decided to take the nurses advice and rest, even hoovering knackered me out. When I had mine I was crying when i was put to sleep (I was on my own as dh hadnt got back from dropping the kids off at MILs/School so felt very alone)and was crying when i woke, must have looked awful but I didnt care. After what you have been through you need to give yourself time to grieve and recover. I cant believe how insensitive that nurse was to you Take care

Alana woke up on and off all night poor thing, she ended up in our bed and has left little snail trails everywhere so the bedding is now in the machine along with my pjs and hers, messy thing. She seems a bit happier in herself this morning, she has already emptied the dvd rack while I was out of the room for 2seconds and then when i was saying goodbye to J she found out how to undo her nappy, stood up at her play table and proceeded to poo on the floor I guess that will teach me to leave her in just her nappy for a while, if she had her vest on she wouldnt have managed it. We are doing well yesterday E came home from Pre-school with his jeans in a bag because another boy had wee'ed on him hopefully by accident.

Was supposed to be going to Land Of Leather to buy my new suite that dh promised me weeks ago but hes had to go into work for a Health and safety course Ive already bought a large canvas for the wall (£59 but dont tell dh lol), picked out the curtains, carpet mirror, cushions and paint, poor dh thought we were only replacing the suite lol.

Hello and welcome Tilly and Nat.

No more rats today! Hopefully problem sorted as they had taken all the poison out of the bate box.

At work so will keep poppin in. Just wanted to get on the new thread.

C is sharing his CM with a new baby for the first time today so I expect all his routines will be to pot and he will be shattered tonight.

AM EMAIL ME PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 10:45

Pebble what colour suite do you think you want? I like the choc brown colours but have a hankering after a jade gree one (no idea where that has come from) B is also leaving a smail trail all over sheets etc. He was up for food at 230 lastnight and managed 2 poos before i threw gently placed him back in his cot at 310. He then woke again at 430 i ignored him till dh relented and snuggled him for a while till he fell back to sleep.

He should be sleeping through now >

Pebble you didnt see my house did you? As the others i am a slattern really

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 10:47

Oh god PMSL look at this

SKYTVADDICT · 07/02/2008 10:49

Ok - I need to rant too - LG&T - someone was rude to me on my maintenance thread and I am currently deciding whether to ignore him or give him a really rude reply. I was asking for advice and not to get crap from someone with a chip on his shoulder:- He said , and I quote:-

"you get £400 a month and want more because you dont have enough?? are you serious? try spending less or working more. as for materninty leave and another one on the way, who's fault is that? not his so why ask him to pay? at least he's making a go of it and doing well for himself - sounds like you should.i work full time with 3 kids, one of them now in uni and never get a penny from my ex. you should give that a go "

In fact I think I am going to ignore the bstrd!!!

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 10:51

Sky Nice. What a teit, how on earth would he say such a thing! Link please

SKYTVADDICT · 07/02/2008 10:51

LG&T - - can you get the pattern from her?

SKYTVADDICT · 07/02/2008 10:52

LG&T - sorry can't like but it is under legal/money matters and just called maintenance.

Better get on with my work too!!

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 11:03

Hve posted Sky

SKYTVADDICT · 07/02/2008 11:09

Thanks LG&T

I keep thinking the thread died and each day something else is added!

Pebblemum · 07/02/2008 11:14

SKY what a t**t, ignore him. That is the only problem with MN you get the odd one that seems to want to turn a normal thread into something horrible and bitchy. Stick to ours and ask our advice you know you will only get nice sensible answers that way, well unless the subject of sex, KK donuts or jumpers for chickens comes up lol

LG&T I have seen some lovely chocolate ones that would look lovely with laminate floor but dh doesnt want laminate in the living room can see his point of view, J cracked his chin open when i had it in there before and with A just starting to find her feet a carpet would be safer. Insetad I have settled on nice safe black. My mum has a lovely dusky green leather suite and its lovely not the usual colour I would go for but they have teamed it with cream and their room looks so light and airy

My friend popped a book round for me just now, its called The Secret Life of a Slummy Mummy. On the back it says " For Lucy, motherhood isnt all astanga yoga and Cath Kidston prints. Its been years since the dirty laundry pile was less than a metre high, months since Lucy remembered to have sex with her husband, and a week since she last did the school run wearing her pyjamas..." Do you think my friend is trying to tell me something lol

SKYTVADDICT · 07/02/2008 11:25

I love chocoalte sofas Pebble - DP also does not want laminate in the lounge!

Not sure what your friend is trying to tell you but let us know if its any good - I could do with laugh and it sounds just like my house!

TillyScoutsmum · 07/02/2008 11:34

Pebble - I love that book. It is my personal bible (although haven't done the school run yet but the rest is pretty accurate )

Think I've done my profile now and added some pics

Hello Nat .

LG&T - oh, my sexual preferences. Not sure I can remember what sex is but DP is a man if that helps. I can however see massive advantages to living with a woman. Do you think a fellow female might actually not snore through dd's frequent wake ups in the night ??

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 11:42

If she was a maleish lesbian i'm pretty confident she would.

Do you know we dont have any lesbians on our thread ladies?

What i really meant was are you a porn watcher or do you cover your eyes\ ears at the mention of it. Seems to be a reccurrent theme on this thread. (i blame SOH, absent friend) and Scoot she is pretty bad too when she is'nt straightening her hair TYG giggles form the sidelines but we all know what she is like I mean she was knocked up about 5 minutes after giving birth to the edible A

Am off to nosy at pics...

Pebblemum · 07/02/2008 11:51

Tilly great pics, am so of the laminate floor.

i have never actually done the school run in my pjs or even my slippers but then again J is almost 11 so has been walking himself to school (5mins away) for a couple of years. I do however find myself still in pjs when he leaves sometimes lol. All that must change by Sept though when E starts school or i will be a slummy mmmy, have given up on trying to be a yummy mummy so halfway there now

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 11:52

Oh she is a sweetie and Scarlett looks lovely too!

Is it lunch time yet?

twelveyeargap · 07/02/2008 11:54
largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 11:55

I simply cannot leave the house in the morning if i have not had a shower and got dressed, put make up on etc... even when ill i must get ready 1st. No idea why.

I had laminate everywhere in my last house, only way to keep the house clean with children. I blardy hate carpet, too much scrubbing of poo\sick\food etc..

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 11:55

I knew you were somewhere round TYG, i could feel you

Pebblemum · 07/02/2008 12:26

I wont leave the house until Ive washed, dressed, piled on the make up, I just do it once J is at school sometimes He is so slow at getting ready in the mornings its easier to get him sorted first, if im not behind him every minute he drifts off into his own little world and I end up nagging at him to get a move on. By waiting til hes gone it means I get to do things in peace. Always have to make sure im dressed by 9am though even on weekends.

I would love laminate everywhere, it looks nice and as you say LG&T its easy to keep clean but dh doesnt like it, says its cold on his feet . Would be willing to buy him new slippers every week if it would change his mind but he wont budge. Even offered to buy one of those extra large rugs so that there was very little bare floor for him to tread on but that didnt work either, for a 30yr old he is very set in his ways lol

Am trying to decide if i should go shopping or stay at home doign the ironing while E is at pre-school today. What should I do?

twelveyeargap · 07/02/2008 12:46

DH is the opposite. We don't have a single shred of carpet. In fact, I'm arguing that we should have a rug in the living room, so I can sit on the floor. (I never used to sit on chairs when I lived on my own.)

I got pissed off with myself when I realised my "dressed" time was getting later and later. It was making me feel like an invalid.

Can't manage without make up. I feel (and look) positively ill without it.

Where the bloody hell is my Next Maternity order. They only have 15 mins to fulfil the "before 1pm" time slot.

Just found out the wedding in Melbourne is black tie. Got to find a maternity evening dress now.

mom2latinoboys · 07/02/2008 12:58

I don't know what you ladies are talking about getting make up on and stuff. I'm lucky if I remember a bra.

Speaking of which why am I on here when I have to fly out the door to go to work.

TillyScoutsmum · 07/02/2008 12:59

I love my wood floor but I don't think its helping Tilly crawling... She sort of shuffles to the end of the rug then collapses on the floor- usually giving her head a hearty bang . Oh well, she'll get there...

LG&T - Porn... I don't really fall into either camp to be honest. I have watched it in years gone by and don't have any major ishoooos with it. I've been to a lap dancing club a few times (I worked with 22 men and night's out generally ended up there and I was fed up of going home early). I wouldn't have a problem about DP going to one as long as it wasn't on his own in the day time (with the rest of the dirt mac brigade) and as long as he told me about it. Tbh, Porn is not really his thing. I caught him a few weeks ago about to "relieve himself" in front of the tv... was expecting to find porn on there but he was watching Top Gear. Then I became really concerned

God - I've been on the thread 2 mins and have already divulged far too many secrets. DP would murder me
