Hello everyone, pinch/punch and all that!

meggle, my dc's are also in a small village school 64 children total aged 2-11. They too have mixed aged classes, 3 classes in total to cover all the age groups. I was very worried to start with and could not see how it could possibly work but Harrison who is 5 now is doing so well. The teachers seem very organised to manage the mixed ages and are able to adapt their methods accordingly. Each age has it's corner in the class room and she sets different work to them and then moves around them all.
I feel that because it is a smaller school there appears to be more time for each childs needs. It's perhaps not quite so daunting to a LO starting.

Pebble...... turning 30 is not quite so bad.... hey LG&T.

Lg&t what is N thinking of! Poor you, hopefully the wether will be good, you can loose the older ones out back each evening, whistle for bed time. Sorted. PMSL...... Have you stopped rocking yet?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 01/04/2008 11:51

MrsJB who is 30 >

Meggle dont worry, i have a friend with a little girl (Clara, how sweet is that?) and she is dinky. Was 1 in March and is running around like a loon, gorgeous little thing that she is. She also eats everything and it make not a jot of difference. A good skill to have when she is older

Wednesday for the meet sounds great! Hugs will be very pleased to be let out of his box for the afternoon I will not eat cake, i will not eat cake, i will not eat cake

The twins were april fooling their brother and sister this morning, they convinced them that aliens had landed. They bought it hook line and sinker until one of the twins laughed and Phin cottoned on She marched off calling them 'muppets'

LGT lol at phin, poor girl putting up with all them boys, bless her she seems to do very well

Meggle lovely looking pooch, what a shame you had to rehome - very sensible tho if they were not behaving appropriatly, that can soon take on a dominance situation which can be difficult to resolve if left unchecked, bless your little one, how dinky, I often forget how tiny Arlen was and willow for that matter, he is such a chunker now i sat him on the scales the other day 23lb eeeekkk, unbelievable he started at 3lb 10 lol, I wouldnt worry about her weight dd was always small and is still on the smallish size but is perfectly formed and bright as a button

Arlen has eaten no baby food at all in the last 3 day, apart from 2 bottle of formula he is having 1 cows milk a day, he has eaten malt loat, sandwiches, tortellini, peaches, apples, raisins, yoghurts crips (thanks to his sister) milky bar, tonight we are trying quiche - hmmm not sure how that will smell the other end

I have a headache, have run out of painkillers - yes i know i should order then sooner every month but i forget!, so sore tummy and headache, they said they would be ready tomorrow however am going to call about 4ish hopefully dp can go and pick them up if there ready grrrrrr, am also moving Arlens bed in with us again, he is so unsettled at night, he always ends up in with us anyway and i think if he knows he is in the same room he might be more settled after all he was sleeping through until we moved, fingers crossed, am off to hunt the alan key out

Mrsjaffabiffa · 01/04/2008 13:16

I actually did LOL at Phin calling the boys muppets...... tehe good girl, don't let them get you Phin.

Don't eat the cake Lg&t!! Be extra good this week and eat more with me on the 18th.

Must start sorting out for our hols! Hate the way I have things going round and round my head, must remember this, must do that. etc.... Where's AM when you need a spreadsheet?

J is sleeping for France today, she has been in bed since 10.15am!

largeginandtonic · 01/04/2008 13:29

Help me, i have posted in health.

Pinkjenny · 01/04/2008 13:45

Hey all

Just typed my post and it disappeared. Grrr.
My boss is back from hols now so can't get on as much . Although she has extended my contract to December so I obviously haven't been found out yet!

Mrs JB - hear you about needing space from mum. My mum and dad live half a mile away and sometimes it gets a bit close for comfort.

Meggle - Poor B and his pox. I live in constant fear of childhood ailments. My therapist calls it 'catastrophic thinking'.

Cam - hope pup is doing OK.

Pebble - love the image of J in the mud. I turned 30 last year , but still feel 21 .

LG & T - Hey chick! The diet thing is a nightmare. I still have a stone to go, although I did put on 5 of them . Was doing well but have now fallen off the wagon. Can't do without my glass of wine after L goes to bed. Norks are unrecognisable and back fat is coming along nicely. L loves to grab my bingo wings too.

The news is that she pulled herself up yesterday. She hasn't done it again though, prob due to my completely over the top reaction. Scared the living daylights out of her.

Went to Tumbletots yesterdaym or Gymbabes should I say. What a rip-off. £5 for 45 minutes. Now trying to weigh up whether to go again. L did enjoy it, but only as much as the Toddle Group we went to yesterday pm, which was free.

Had a traumatic couple of hours in M&S cafe afterwards with my friend and her 10mo, who was throwing up in the corner whilst we tried to catch it in muslins. L was chomping away on a scone at the time.

What a nightmare, wish we were all there to feed her KKs and sit with her. Feel so helpless.

TillyScoutsmum · 01/04/2008 14:11

I think Mum2G and Pebble are both quite close...

LG&T - thinking of you and sending you lots of positive vibes xxx

Mrsjaffabiffa · 01/04/2008 14:40
