Sorry, best I could come up with in between making tea and trying to get Lils off to bed before the football starts...

lol at the commando crawlers!

Pink - it is never too early for a baileys - just don't have it with coffee, sacrilege!

Lgt and Pebble - i will have to look up that shoe shoe, whereabouts is it? Anytime you are over here in Fareham you had better come visit - i am beginning to childproof the house, so little hands welcome for roadtesting! I promise not to feed you rockcakes

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2008 16:21

Thankyou ladies you have made me feel better I am worried but sure it is nothing, the irrational side of me takes over sometimes.

You had ALL better be coming to me on the 18th. April i will bake and dh will make a vat of pate for us all to munch and yap at the same time, that way we barely have to pause to eat

Now Pink, whizz everything (hand held thingy) Scoot is right, steam and then put it all together. Any combo works. The twins used to love a cornflake\fish and orange juice dish (i kid you not) I have those compartment ice cube tray things, very good. B eats mostly what we are now and i freeze excess portions for him. His fave at the moment is tuna pasta bake.

Pink i had no idea you suffered from the demon hair like Scoot and i! May have it straight for the meet, think i was curly for the last one?

Was thinking of TYG today, you know, sunning herself in Australia ...

Sky hope the pox leaves you alone! Excellent news on the scan though, cannot believe you are half way there!!!! Oooooohhhh babies

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2008 16:24

Mum2G will give you a bell next time we are close, we could coffee in Costa and shop Shall we meet next week? You too Pebble (train it to Fareham)

Latinomom no smear here unless you make an appointment yourself after the baby. I have been very silly and not done it till recently. Scoot you must go!

Mum2G · 27/03/2008 16:46

Did someone say shop???

LGT - Costa is my secret haunt, how did u know? Next week is good for me anytime except tuesday or wednesday am

If you get the train to Fareham you will be about 3 mins from my house Pebble! Come too Am if you are not working.

AprilMeadow · 27/03/2008 19:30

I would love to come but i have to work.

Off out tonight with some mums from nursery.

LG&T in that case i will definately bring KK's and will see what else i can find

cinnamontam · 27/03/2008 19:33

There's a meet!!! At LG&T's!!! Oh man - i need to get on more often. Can i come??? I don't work Friday's and will promise to bring many goodies to make up for the slackness of my postingnotness...

Tild is waving, not clapping, just started crawling on the weekend but now pulling herself to standing and trying to walk along things I think our chilled times are about to end

Can't get over how quickly our babies are growing and only weeks away from 1st birthdays

Scoot - I would love to meet you for coffee next time you are down in Hammersmith. I'm off work Monday's and Friday's.

cinnamontam · 27/03/2008 19:43

I've never found anything that really does the magic on my curly hair but will eternally live in hope

Lupins71 · 27/03/2008 20:28

Evening all i would love to come to a meet up but cant quite afford the train fare at the moment - maybe the next one, should be able to stay at my dads - altho not sure i fancy that tbh

LGT i know the shop with cath kidson stuff you meant - there are some lovely shops in tavi, might pop to cheese shop tomorrow as my neighbor blew me out today grrr

AM please email me lost - also need your addy pls, got a little package for you

Scoot - what buggers your builders are - we should all gang up on them, then they will get the work done "or else"

I have a bit of a fear of smear tests - i know people find them uncomfortable and unpleasant but i find them actually very painful - apparently im small and something is tilted the wrong way grrr

Pebblemum · 27/03/2008 21:08

All this talk of smears has reminded me I need to book mine Cant stand the bloody things. I always thought there was a 5yr gap between them, or was it three, whatever it is im sure i had one not long before falling for Alana (either that or Ive got such a vivid memory of it that it seems it wasnt that long ago)

LG&T and M2G I love the sound of shoe shopping, even if it isfor Alana and not me lol. Am pretty sure im free all next week, need to buy Dh a birthday present anyway so could kill two birds with one stone, not that I have a clue what to get him. I did think of tickets to the British Golf Open but need to check that he would have someone to go with (not my cup of tea at all)

I cant believe we are getting close to our LO's 1st birthdays, this year has flown by. I really must start thinking about Alana's birthday and what to get her. Ive been concentrating on sorting things out for J's seeing as hes older and would notice if I didnt make an effort for his. Prep for his party is coming along nicely and I know what presents i will be buying him. I bought Now 62 the other day(from Ethan), we will be getting him a new mobile (one with an mp3 player as he wanted a mobile and ipod so thought i would be crafty and combine the two lol), a Fila tracksit, and then something from Alana as well as a few little bits. For Alana i had thought about getting her a trike with parent handle (or quad ride on) E had something similar when he was one and loved it. She'll get a few other bits as well but what I dont know.

mom2latinoboys · 27/03/2008 22:13

I'm still baffled by the no smear thing. I've had one every year since I was 17 (started my sexual activity then) With both pregnancies I had one even though I wasn't due for my annual visit. With Cruz I had one 2 months after my annual check.

I also had one during the check for the miscarriage.

I recommend that all of you go and spread your legs and get checked. I'm a little over zealous because everyone woman on my mom's side has had problems with tumors, fibroids, and once my sister lost her ovary (I kid you not) the doctor couldn't find it. It came back eventually though. (I guess it got bored and decided to walk around a bit)

cinnamontam · 28/03/2008 07:17

I have to have a few drinks before my smear tests as i have the tilty thing too Lupins and it's very very uncomfortable. I was fine during 48 hours of labour but sobbed through all the vaginal exams - felt like such a numpty

'll be driving down and have a...whispers...people carrier so very happy to give you a lift if that helps. I'm in Putney

Lupins71 · 28/03/2008 08:35

Ohhh someone else with a tilty on lol!! It bloody hurts doesnt it! I can cope with pancreas pain and childbirth and sections but am a wreck when it comes to smears and the dentist both of which are well overdue, I am now in Devon so totally the wrong direction, thanks anyway

Pouring with rain here today, going to attempt the community bus which is a mini bus run by volunters - the will no doubt be me and arlen loaded with buggy and bags amidst a bus of old ladies lol, hopefully he will charm them

Pebblemum · 28/03/2008 09:30

Its pouring here too. Have decided on the mobile to buy J and had planned to go get it today but looking out of the window I think I will leave it til another day.

Alana decided that she wanted to get up at 3.15am and play Luckily she wasnt being too noisy so she didnt wake the boys up but it was still annoying, Im not used to getting up in the night lol.

TillyScoutsmum · 28/03/2008 10:38

Wet and miserable here as well... Dp's dad and step mum are coming to stay for the weekend so I've got loads of housework and shopping to do but me and Til are still here in our jim jams . Really not looking forward to it - they're a total PITA

Lups - I have a massive dentist phobia and haven't been for.... 17 years (since I left school). I know it sounds rank but just the thought of it makes me feel physically sick. Obviously, if I were in pain, I would have to go but I swear they would need to knock me out first (and that would be just to get me out of the house !)

Better go - Till has managed to crawl under the dining table and get stuck.. She was probably in search of more fluff to eat

Pinkjenny · 28/03/2008 10:44

Thanks for all the ideas ladies. Only prob I have is that I only have a tiny freezer, as our fridge hasn't changed since we lived in a tiny house. Not much space to keep frozen meals at all. Anyhoo, got some great ideas.

L still sleeping v. badly. Can't believe she is cutting 5 teeth at once. Doesn't do things by halves, my little drama queen.

Tilly - I hate it when PIL come to stay. They get right on my pip. Bite your tongue, m'dear.

Pebble - LOL at A playing at 3.15am. I often wish all us MNers lived in a big house together, always someone to play with and keep company. Is that a bit weird? Some kind of Southfork arrangement? Ahem...

Lups - dentist doesn't bother me at all, but dh had a tooth out yesterday and was absolutely kakking himself. He's got an interview for a new job today, fingers crossed as its more money and closer to home.

So about your meet-up. I want to meet everyone. Why does no one live by me!

Pinkjenny · 28/03/2008 10:45

Apologies for the 'kakking' comment. Sometimes I'm such a scouser.

scootermum · 28/03/2008 10:47

Morning morning..

Was going to book smear this morn but too ton phone with the builders here as they will hear every word.
The are downstiars as we speak banging away..they claim it will all be done my tonight bar some electrics but I will believe it when I see it.All I really want is a working washing machine as I am not mad forn humping two weeks worth of washing to the launderette..but situation is desperate now-Im wearing Dh's boxers today as ive no clean smalls!

Incredibly L is asleep through all the banging and M is palying with her blocks quite merrily..
Chucking it down out though but will have to brave it as I dont want to be stuck in upstairs all day..

Am in Hsmith on Monday Tam but have a lunch meeting but next time will def give you a ring..or I have to go to asess someone in Putney soon so will try to wangle that for a Monday.

Think we will get M a trike with a parent handle for her birthday too Pebble..but not till June (becuase she was lazy lazy and went 12 days overdue) so we've time yet..
Maybe my kitchen will be done by then!

Both L and M covered in snot still and L still quite hot..bless her she is being quite good though really..that said we are going to see The Enemy tomorrow night in London and if I end up feeling rubbish for it I will not be pleased!(Classily I am planning to have a drink on the train on the way as otherwise wont have time before the gig due to time sitter can come..am thinking can of cider for real studenty effect )

Hi Scoot

Glad L and M are feeling a little better, if still a bit hot. I'm thinking the can of cider is a great idea, needs must and all that.

LOL at you wearing dh's boxers. Kinky!

Pinkjenny · 28/03/2008 11:16

Did everyone see the press yesterday about cough and cold medicines for under twos?

scootermum · 28/03/2008 11:18

Far from it!They are threadbare and far too big!I did..but think its fine so long as you are sticking to the right doses..thats what they said on the radio anyway..
