Well done MrCam on your first client LOL J being into everything. What news on your furniture?

Julie, I am not letting my dh read anything negative about having a puppy I have images of how you are looking in your daily attire iirc my first af after Ella was pretty heavy, I think they do return to 'normal' fairly quickly.

Sorry to hear that you have all been poorly SKY.

Anneme, glad all is going ok with ofsted.

Hello to internet famous LG&T

Sorry to hear that M has been poorly MrsJB. Hope you have a better night.

Am home alone tonight as dh has gone to the British Touring Car media day in Rockingham. So far so good, Ella was down by 7.20pm and Jack by 7.50pm

Pebblemum · 11/03/2008 21:57

Sorry to hear so many of you and your LO's are poorly Hope you all start to feel better soon.

Alana has come out in yet another rash, this time she is covered, even on her face. Its not upsetting her or causing discomfort, it just looks horrible She had only been spot free for about a week. Im now starting to wonder if she is allergic to something in her food, its the only thing I can think of as to why she keeps getting it.

Just had my neighbour knock my door, her cousin's baby is due in a week but the mum to be has worked herself up into a right state. She has been ranting and raving all day about how she's fed up with being pregnant, she doesnt want the baby etc. She's emptied her hospital bag in temper, has gone from being angry one minute to crying her eyes out the next This is her first baby and she has had quite a rough ride, I think its just got too much for her I expect she is also getting worried about the birth as everyone has filled her head with horror stories and to make it worse her own mother has said that if she has so much as a puff of gas and air that basically she is a failure and it wont be a natural birth Have started a thread for her in childbirth but if anyone here has any advice on what we can do to help I would be grateful

Pebblemum · 11/03/2008 22:00

thread in pregnancy not childbirth

anneme · 11/03/2008 22:15

Hey April - your DH was only about 15 mins down the road from me if he is at Rockingham - really crap weather so I hope he is not outside...
your poor friend Pebble - it could be antenatal depression - I had a friend who had that who basically did not really accept her LO until he arrived. It was all ok then. It is worth her talking to her Dr/midwife

Lupins71 · 12/03/2008 04:43

Tilly well done on the sleeping, it does make a differance doesnt it

AprilMeadow · 12/03/2008 13:30

Blardy Hell LG&T who have you upset upstairs! Poor Hugs and you, have fingers and toes crossed that the others dont catch it.

Lups, poor you at being up so blinking early!

Anneme, he is being blown around today, but luckily has a thermal jacket thing on but wishes he had hiking boots as his little finger toes are chilly.

Yay to Tilly, long may it continue..... will not mention that my nearly 3 year old STILL wakes in the night.......

JamInMyWellies · 12/03/2008 14:53

LG&T much sympathies my love you are having a crappy time of it at the mo.

LUPS how are you still functioning did A stay up? Hpope you manage a little extra sleep during the day.

Tilly hurrah

Have decided mumsnet is all getting a bit too bitchy at the mo, it seems that loads of threads are just loads of people arguing. (have seen the car park thread LG&T and LOW are taking a bit of a bashing) I this morning started a thread in pets asking for some puppy related advice about biting and I suppose in retrospect my chioce of thread title and one sentence were a little off. But was genuinely asking for advice. I got jumped on and told I was irresponsible and shouldnt have a dog yada yada yada.

I tell you if this place doesnt stop being so up its bum I am orf.

Anyway more pee and poo to sort out....

JamInMyWellies · 12/03/2008 14:54

sorry LG&T fruedian slip re use of crappy.

LookattheLottie · 12/03/2008 16:05

Jam have posted on puppy thread for you, don't know if it'll help as you may already be doing what I've suggested, don't listen to any of them. What is it with mn at the minute? SO much bitching. Off to catch up, hey everyone x

largeginandtonic · 12/03/2008 16:10

I know Jam, farckin ridiculous. People are just looking for a fight. Very sad really. Tis always ok here though so i wont leave

cameroonmama · 12/03/2008 16:11

Jules

But I have to agree, I don't know whats got into everyone, its too scary out there, I try and stick to here and a few living overseas threads.

Bummer LG&T, just when you thought it was safe to leave the house as well. Poor Hugs, hopefully its a 24 hour thing like dd, she is a lot better still peely waly but ok. Now I have this sore neck thing going on...

Hurrah for Tilly, i was up at the crack of dawn too Lups, must be these big boys testing their darling mamas. Anyhooo its 7pm, all three are in bed and fast asleep. Me and my dodgy neck are off out for a sushi.

This'll make you laugh Charley and LG&T, the chickenshed has been patched up, the chickens arrive tomorrow, and today we went to a fab school play called The Fantastical Mr Fox, and all I could think about was poor old MrG&T getting his wanger out and peeing all over the shop to frighten off the foxes I had better get the gardener to drink a couple of gallons of water tomorrow morning then

largeginandtonic · 12/03/2008 16:19

Cam...

Whats up with your neck?

mom2latinoboys · 12/03/2008 16:38

How is everyone?

Everyone is taking a nap at the same time here!!!! I love the house when it's all quiet.

Ahhh.

LG&T, congrats on the tip, and am sorry about Hugs.

Jam-I posted on your thread. MN has become a bitchfest lately.

twelveyeargap · 12/03/2008 16:48

I can't believe you have another child sick, LG&T. Hope Matteo is feeling better M2LB.

I'm in full on organisation mode for Les Grandes Vacances next week. Making lists (on my iPhone, twit twoo) of what I need to buy and what to take on board, and planning stuff like notes for the cleaner so DH has shirts to wear to work whilst I'm away and phoning pharmacies on tropical islands to get them to put lactose-free milk aside for me to pick up when I get there. Don't want to be using our baggage allowance up with tins of SMA!

Have ordered little fiddly toys for A to play with on the plane and keep her busy. She loves this tub of ELC "buttons" at playgroup so am getting a tub of those and the cotton reels and taking her "stacking cups" with us so she can put things in them and take them out again, which seems to be THE most exciting thing to her at the moment. (Other than trying to eat my phone or bash the keys of the laptop every time I'm on it.)

I see all the cruising babies are causing mayhem. A was playing in the hall the other day whilst I was in the kitchen keeping half an eye on her. 30 seconds later she was waving at me through the bannisters at the top of the first flight of stairs. Woops. Must get the stairgates out. (Or pay more attention to child...)

Am getting seriously miffed that this child is saying Dada, Daddy (very clear that one, harrumph), Nana (banana) and trying to copy all sorts of other words, but is refusing point blank to say Mama or Mammy and just laughs in my face and repeats Dada every time I say Mama. I know she understands what I'm asking her to do. When we say, "Shall we read a book?", she crawls over to the bookshelf and gets out a book for us. I swear she is doing it to wind me up.

Had 20 week scan today. He was waving his willy around to prove he really is a boy. Everything is in the right place and appears to be working correctly. He's small to average on the sizes, so that either means the due date is a bit later than it should be (good, more time to go overdue) or he really is quite small. Also good. A was nearly off the scale with the abdominal circumference at her 20 week scan and she was a big biffer.

largeginandtonic · 12/03/2008 16:55

20 week scan

how can that be??? He will be her before we know it!

You sound very organised, good idea about the milk too It will be so great, am very

Latinomom what a nightmare, my house smells like a swimming pool

I am so Farcked off with it all. DH bringing wine home...

mom2latinoboys · 12/03/2008 17:03

Ahh the 20 week scan

Glad to hear that everything looks good.

Mateo is feeling better but not 100% yet. Nevertheless am off to get eyebrows waxed and hair cut

Cruz is giving me the most flirty smiles. HE also says dada all the time, and when I tell him so say mama he always smiles and laughs like he's telling me "Lady I know who you are ok". He is also desperate to walk, poor guy.

I separated out some clothes for a friend that is having her baby boy in July. I got really sad giving away some of Mateo and cruz's clothes. I kept all of the gender neutral clothesand surprisingly enough I still have a full 0-24 month wardrobe.

Lupins71 · 12/03/2008 17:51

JIMW what do you need to know about biting, i have read every dog book out there and done a canine pshcycology (passed with merit but still cant spell the bloody word so ask away i shall try and advise

I managed a sort of sleep, A slept next to me as peacefully as a lamb but i couldnt settle grrr, must laugh tho might have been a bit more than teething and hungry - I found a Jenga brick down the back of his bodysuit, found it when i got him dress him ed Dd did it after i had got changed last night, poor bugger must have been really uncomfy, dont know how i missed it when i picked him up, dp said he noticed it but didnt want to say anything in case it was supposed to be there and i called him stupid

Right off to cook dinner - well sort of with now proper cooker

Pebblemum · 12/03/2008 18:14

Wow tyg I cant believe you have had the 20wk scan already, only seems like a couple of weeks ago you told us the good news.

LG&T hope Hugs is better soon, you really are having a tough time at the moment arent you

Alana is still covered in a nasty rash, its everywhere, on her face and neck, all over her body and also down each legs. Its horrible. She is also not sleeping too well at the moment, will sleep for about 2hrs in the evening then wake up crying, after that se only sleeps for about 15mins at a time. Think i will get her checked out by the gp tomorrow although I expect it will be a waste of time.

I totally embarassed myself today. My neighbour encouraged me to enter a comp on the radio and I won, next minute I was on air Luckily no one that knows me seems to have heard. Worth it though, i now have family tickets to Marwell Zoo for the Easter weekend.

Its taken me ages to type this post. I was halfway through when i 'lost' Alana. One minute she was by my feet the next she had vanished, she was nowhere to be found. Knew she couldnt have got far but had no idea where she could be. Next minute I hear a giggle, look behind the sofa and there she is crawling out of the other end. The little madam had gone exploring and was looking very pleased with herself lol

AbbyLou · 12/03/2008 19:22

Hi everyone (a thoroughly exhausted and Ofsteded out Abby crawls out from under her duvet). Sorry to hear some of you/your los are poorly again. C and I had a tummy thing yestersay, he was bottom end, I was top!! He got to stay at home and lay on the sofa, I had to go in and face Ofsted inspectors.
It's all over now though - illness and Ofsted. I can't say to much about inspection outcome yet but we are all very pleased with ourselves!! I picled my new car up tonight which was very exciting. I was so nervous driving it home, I've never had a brand new one before.
Anyway, must go and resore my house to it's pre-Ofsted state.

Lupins71 · 12/03/2008 20:17

TYG omg 20 weeks already, where does the time go, glad everything was fine, dont worry small babies are fab

Have started my jogging on the spot, then promptly ate 2 cream donuts - oh god i have no will power , really do want to get in my summer dresses this year without wobbling

twelveyeargap · 12/03/2008 22:55

Useless list of the day.

THINGS MY 9 MONTH OLD LIKES TO EAT, BUT SHOULDN'T YET KNOW ABOUT.

  1. Poppadoms
  2. Chips
  3. Spaghetti hoops
  4. Bakes beans
  5. Cake of any description
  6. Popcorn

Am tempted to post this "in the open" so to speak and see if I can start a row. Thoughts?

Anyone got anything they'd like to add to this, you know as a sort of cathartic, "ooh, I sometimes let my kids eat crap too and I'm not ashamed to admit it" sort of way?

Lupins71 · 13/03/2008 07:49

lol TYG go on stir it up - I will back you up and add that A also loves baked beans, chips, chocolate (not milky bar), pizza, muller yoghurts, any biscuit going, and a favorite is profiteroles caked in cream in fact anything he can steal off of a plate lol

A is like a drooling tap with both these teeth coming through, he couldnt even eat his dinner yesterday as they hurt so much, seems ok with it tho busy choming and slobbering his keys
