Sorry, best I could come up with in between making tea and trying to get Lils off to bed before the football starts...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Creena · 06/03/2008 22:38

Aww thanks Juicy. FWIW, I'm absolutely fugging terrified - the smallest age gap I've had between the children so far has been 5 years. This time I'll have a newborn and an 18 month old. AAAGH!

April - excellent! Will chat to DH about it (he might have issues about it being too 'early' to buy anything - he's a superstitious old thing but I'll work on him).

Please don't mention twins. DH's cousin has twin boys. I'd always assumed that maybe she had some fertility assistance as there are no other twins in the family. Now you've got me worried. I'm going to have to start a mantra - it's just wind....it's just wind....it's just wind....it's just wind....

Lupins71 · 06/03/2008 23:11

Ok life in the country not being so appealing today, I am nearly out of painkillers and havent yet registered with new doc, am having bad tummy pain and ov pains, the pub next door keep complaining that our fire is smoking out thier pub - and our landlord said there is no problem with it, she (pub lady) has has fire inspecor in and he says dangerous apparently there was a chimney fire here last year - so am without pills and heating FFS!!!!

Creena dont think i congratulated you - so congrats, sending you non twin vibes (altho secretly think they are cute)

Who is getting married?? why all the talk of cake?? I have eaten so much cake since xmas i have put on 10lb ooops!!

Right off to bed, got to try an remove A from comfy chair without waking him, lovely dp took him out of bed because he was winging grrr

Oh who has those very inappropriate dreams, I had one the other day with someone close to family - rather lovely fellow, and it is really bugging me cant get it out of my head, why isnt real life so damn nice!!

HEHEHE can you tell I have pmt with all my winging lol!!

AprilMeadow · 06/03/2008 23:11

Creena, makes no difference to me if you dont want to decide until 20+ weeks. No pressure, just pleased that it may have found a new home

largeginandtonic · 07/03/2008 08:22

April that sounds ok, will get back to you chick

TYG i think LittleLapin has that buggy! I am sure i remember her talking about it, she got stiffed for the tax as it came in. Track her down!

Hello everyone else am in the chaotic mad rush for school and work (yes, work!) back later.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 07/03/2008 08:53

morning peeps. Happy friday.

Maddie at school ALL day today Woooooooo Hooooooo, yipppppeeeeee, can you tell I'm pleased? H and A are off skiing tonight for a week, I think I may even miss them a little. Took H to school this morning and got handed an A4 folder with his holiday homework in, poor lad he has 5 A4 sheets of letter and number practice to complete. He's only just 5 ffs.

TYG, I like that buggy, it is sweet to have them facing but a bit hefty I agree.

Creena.... It's just wind...... It's just wind

Lg&t how's things with the friend whose son you were looking after, is she still being OK?

AM, well done Jack, yes long may it continue.

There is some very loud grunting and straining noises coming from the floor behind me! Think J may be producing a stinker.

Jucy your weekend sounded lovely.

JIMW, How exciting a puppy. LOL at Archie riding him. Gonna be fun in your house for a while.

Lupins. Get on to the landlord to get the chimmney swept or find out when it was last done! It's VERY ipmportant and it is actually a requirement for insurance here in France to have a certificate each year to prove you've had it done. Chimmney fires can start very easily with the build up of debris in the chimmney but there should be no reason of danger if it has been swept and maintained. Get on the phone to the dr too. It's only a form to fill out to register surely. It's Friday; have you missed the bus already?

Have a nice RR at the hairdressers scoot. Lucky you!

Must go and pack for the boys. It's gonna snow too

Lupins71 · 07/03/2008 09:27

MJB thanks, dp is off to speak to landlord today, if we have no luck with him we will go back to letting agent and see what we can do, dp is taking me to docs to register later on - when he eventually gets his arse out of bed!!

I am soooo tired today ds was in the bed with me all night, so i was squished between him and dp hence hardly any sleep

LGT whats this about work, how do you have time woman

Scoot enjoy the hairdressers

cameroonmama · 07/03/2008 11:40

TYG, here's a thread especially for you

twelveyeargap · 07/03/2008 12:39

I only post on those when I'm feeling a bit troll-like.

SKYTVADDICT · 07/03/2008 15:17

Hi all

C off CM today as he had bad tummy (bottom end) yesterday and temperature. She kept him all day though bless her - he mainly slept. I am sure he is just teething though. He has had two disgusting nappies today, two changes of clothes and one bath so far! He is currently asleep and I am supposed to be putting my feet up too.

Congrats Creena - my smallest gap is between the DDs and was 4 years - this time it will be 15 months (gulp).

LG&T - re maintenance - I am going to write to ex H but haven't got round to it yet - spending too much time on MN . He told DD1 he would pay for half her ski trip (costing £1200) by docking my maintenance by £50 a month - WTF planet does he live on!! Anyway she isn't going as none of her friends are - thank god! DP was going to pay our half bless him.

Not much else to report - hope you get your chimney sorted Lups - and hope you get your furniture sorted CAM.

Have a nice weekend

Mrsjaffabiffa · 07/03/2008 21:16

Cam... Cod has a challenge going at the moment for people to do things around MN. One of which is to post a controversial thread and then get a post removed or something like that. I rekon that thread is one of them.

LOL at your post though AM.

about your furniture, forgot to say, hope it arrives safe.

anneme · 07/03/2008 22:00

Quickly popping in to say hello. Have been dipping in and out over the past few days but have not got round to posting.
Abby - am thinking of you - I am in the same boat and have inspectors in next week which is why I have not been around much. Why am I quite happy to stand up in front of a load of adolescents and teach but as soon as a GROWN UP comes in I'm sh**ing myself!
Cam poor you and your furniture - think how nice it will be to see it when it does arrive..sorry, that is the kind of annoying cheery thing my mum says to me when everything is going wrong...clearly I am turning into my mother -
Actually, quite a lot of the things that DS1 is saying to me now are things that I say to him and are along similar lines to that such as "the sooner you do x the sooner it will be over" or "that's just the way life goes" - that second statement is REALLY annoying to have said to you by a 4 year old.
I'm waffling. Think I'm tired. I'll go to bed

anneme · 07/03/2008 22:01

ooooooo - did you see - I have managed to put one of those faces in my post - am now taking a bow.....

Pebblemum · 07/03/2008 22:13

Its been one of those days today.

I hardly had any sleep last night because my nose was blocked, i could breath out through it but not inhale yet if i breathed through my mouth I started coughing, it was a no win situation. I then got up to discover I didnt have any dinner money for J, A decided to fill her nappy, vest and skirt 5mins before we had to take E to pre-school and then once I had cleaned her up I somehow managed to smash the hall light bulb with the airing cupboard door (still not sure how i managed that one The bulb just shattered everywhere so I then had to make sure that was cleaned up before going out. Amazingly E was only a couple of minutes late. I then remembered that today was his sing-a-long for charity and I had to go back to the school to watch it but before i left the house A did another stinker After getting back home at 3.30pm I decide to ring around and get quotes ready for J's party. I made 11 calls and only got to speak to 3 people, 2 of whom where of no help whatsoever. It just wasnt my day today

Will be glad to get in bed tonight.

JamInMyWellies · 07/03/2008 22:16

we have the crate, lead, collar, treats, puppy pee mats. The vodka is in the freezer as am sure I will be needing it by the time we drive to the other side of Wales and back again. Wish me luck ladies I may never return, 8hrs in a car with DP (bound to cause a divorce), 9mth old baby and then the 4hr return leg with a 3 month old puppy.

Am sure I have also posted on one of cods challenge threads about nudey childbirthing.

Ofsted ladies good luck.

SKY hope C is feeling a bit better.

LG&T how did today go was there lots of swords swishing about?

AbbyLou · 08/03/2008 07:23

Morning guys, just popping in. Anneme, best of British. I am ok about being observed it's the co-ordinator interview i am dreading. I am up early on a Saturda as I am just preparing to go in on a Saturday!!

Lupins71 · 08/03/2008 08:25

JIMW what sort of dog are you getting? hope the journey goes well, sounds like our jaunts to cornwall lol

CAM hope the furiture arrives soon x

Pebble hope you managed some sleep and that today is a better day

DD cme home from school complaining of headache and was all shivery, bless her i dont think she thought she would be allowed home, i put A to bed and found her asleep in front of the fire like a curled up cat so she was in my bed and dp slept on sofa FAB i got some of the duvet lol!!

Today i am throwing myself into free ebay listing, have got boxes of clothes that i sorted before the move, and now A has decided that 12-18 stuff will start fitting so more to sort out, its not that the 9-12's are to short but his belly is too round lol

Ohhhh I love having internet back

AprilMeadow · 08/03/2008 08:54

Hey lups! Lol at A having a big round belly. I cant believe it is about a month until the first birthdays come round.

CM & Lups what are you doing for 1st birthdays? I gave J a birthday party but havent thought of doing anything for E.

OFSTED.... i hope you both survive

Good luck with the journey JIMW. We did a 3hr trip to Wales in Jan and it wasnt too bad tbh. Just as long as you can time it right with sleeps and food etc it should be fine.

Creena · 08/03/2008 08:56

april - cheers me dear! that is lovely of you. dh is already being worked on, so just email the info over to me (including how much you are selling it for) and i will close the deal!

AprilMeadow · 08/03/2008 09:40

Hello my lovely, i have emailed you x

Lupins71 · 08/03/2008 12:09

AM I really have been thinking about the whole 1st bday thing, we took Willow to Beale Park and it was lovely weather wise - early sept, didnt do a party, was thinking of taking him to tamar valley donkey park, we went the other day as they have a soft play area dd likes and they get a free donkey ride, so that is 1 option if the weather is good as the outdoor bit is really good, apart from that am stumped, we arent really close enough to anyone apart from mum to have a party, might do donkey park and birthday tea hmmmmmm

Grim ol' day out there all rainy, hope everyone is having a nice relaxing

Am off to hunt on ebay for a fireguard as the little munchkin will not stay put

mom2latinoboys · 08/03/2008 13:03

Hey everyone. Well my big excitement for the week was that someone put an offer on our house . . .and the next day decided that she wanted to move to Alabama. So no go. I'm so exhausted now.

I'm also super broody lately.

AbbyLou · 08/03/2008 20:58

Oh my god, it's all going wrong. I've just found out that lesson plans and wine are not a good combination!! My brain has turned to mush, I'm thinking about so many things at once I don't know what will come out of my mouth next. Dh konws it's serious when I get stressed so he's keeping well out of the way.

JamInMyWellies · 08/03/2008 21:16

Abby deep breath another glass of wine close the lesson plans and start afresh tom morn.

JamInMyWellies · 08/03/2008 21:18

check out my profile new member of the family, he is 10wks old, a cross cocker/basset and is fab!

charleymouse · 08/03/2008 21:26

Hi
G was 15lb 1oz and 70.5 cm at baby clinic on Monday so we are just on the 0.4 percentile for weight and 25 percentile for length. We are now in size 4 I repeat 4 nappies and 3-6 month clothes. He has been a bit off it this week though with a bit of a cold. DD has also had a squiffy tummy. Deffo, just had to empty a café latte down the loo sorry if TMI, also since I started this post DS has been sick 3 times and had 4 yucky nappies amd DD has had more lattes ugh.

12YG I don?t know where has this year gone. Not sure re the double buggy as had only just started looking myself and then not required. Second Meggles suggestion of the sling for early days as well. Could you get DD a dress/outfit made you could probably get something really nice/unique for that kind of price and maybe something in 2 pieces so she could at least get further wear out of part of it.

Meggle your DCs are adorable. I just thought I would take G as he was exactly 11 months old and had to pop into town anyway so thought what the heck. See further down re regional branches suggestion. Your wedding venue looks lovely.

MrsJB congratulations on your godmotherly status, not sure about the Gaultier outfit though don?t forget though not to outshine the guest of honour (that would be the baby BTW). Thanks on the weight loss, lost another 1.75 lbs this week.

AprilM your dress and MILs look lovely as well. You get all the fun of planning your MILs though now. 3 nights running well done. Not sure about birthday celebrations as yet obv odd circumstances think I will celebrate Gs birthday and marks Bens day on his due date so as not to taint Gs day.

Creena oh lovely a bonfire baby. twins have to start somewhere you know.

JW ooh lucky you with the spa day treat.

W&J JIMW don?t forget to link your profile with your new name(s). Gosh can you hear my ironing from where you are it must be getting bad KKs will be fine as fees but obviously I will need to attend as well to oversee the final arrangements. Oooh a puppy how lovely Bassets are so cute, good luck.

ED G is the same, no chance of ignoring him even when he wakes up happy and gurgly . He is still in our room in fact still in crib as he is having DDs cotbed as a cot when we move and she is having new bunk beds.

LG&T hopefully you won?t be reading this as you are out out out (in stylee of big cook Ben referring to the hot oven). Congrats to your DH and have fun with the sword waving. Snigger.

TSM don?t you just love it when DP promise one thing and then don?t deliver. Wedding venue and dresses look lovely. I?m sure we could help out with the something borrowed or blue as well if you need a hand. Go for whatever kind of dress you like, this is a new marriage and is no less important than the previous in fact more so as this time it is the right one. I think the wedding planner/shop will need lots of local/regional branches so count me in as well please.

Pebble good luck with the schools appeal I tried to apply for DDs school last week then realised she does not have to apply until next academic year. I mean how are you supposed to know about these things if you haven?t done it before. Your wedding sounds like it was fun. No advice re teeth grinding sorry.

M2LB you make it sound like you are ancient, I bet your wedding was lovely. How can someone change their mind so drastically re where they want to live.

Scoot oh no can?t believe you decided you didn?t like your dress. If we have the meet as suggested below it will give you the chance to choose a new one . Sorry to hear about your friend with cancer, it is such a cruel world. Hope you get to spend a bit of time with him whilst he is still fully with it. Hair looks good. Oh just seen your suggestion for meet up can we amend it to my suggestion of wedding dresses please.

AbbyLou wave hello at fellow shurker lurker re posting. Is it just me or do you keep popping in and seeing how much has happened and think can?t possibly reply to all so don?t upset anyone and not post then try again and it seem even more impossible. Sigh. Good luck with Ofsted. Sorry you are feeling stressed.

BefnalBub love you pics can?t believe how grown up all the bubs look.

Cam good luck with the chickens and hope your furniture arrives soon. I am so looking forward to the new house but not the move if you see what I mean.

Lupin glad things seem to be going well in the sticks. Second getting the chimney checked/cleaned.

Cinnamon you rock

Benson sorry to hear A has the lurg G has it as well.

JLT your weekend sounds lovely.

Sky can?t believe your ex docking maintenance who does he think he is.

Anneme congrats on putting a face on.

Would you all think I was mad to commute to the meetup? DH would rather I didn?t go alone so if anyone en-route needs a lift let me know other than that he has suggested an o?night trip. Woohoo.

Perhaps we should have a meetup where we all wear our wedding dresses. It will have to weight wait a bit for further dieting though.

Also we should arrive in 4x4s that should upset a few people on the other threads.

I have posted on the bereavement threads as not sure of headstone wording so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I want to mention him being an identical twin but not sure how to word it.

Have a lovely restful Sunday everyone. Cheers CM.
