largeginandtonic · 16/02/2008 06:29

I have been up again since 530 will this pox induced nightmare ever end? DH looks loads better, he was back to fing and blinding yesterday so must be better The baby is awful, he is covered and so miserable

The children all go off to stay with 'TIT' today I asked him if he could drive all the way up to collect them as i have sick dh and Beau. He was such a dick... oh not really i would have to change my plans wtf??? I pointed out i have done ALL the driving since B was born. He reluctantly agreed to meet me at a service station about 40 minutes away so Bshould only have to be in the car for a couple of hours.

TYG a cleaner is a very good idea in your mansion I know what you mean about the stairs too, we are 3 floors here and i am ALWAYS going down the stairs fully loaded with a baby trying to grab whatever i have. They just walk right past everything empty handed >> sigh >> Bad news about the rings chick, it will be nice to wear them again though, hide the reciept

Scoot did you eat the chocolate and did the couch come up clean? Any new sqiggles discovered? Hug's has his own mural on his wall at the moment

AM are you packing yet? How are the house details going? (i have seen it you lot ) We watched Juno the other day (download ) it was great!

MrsJB how are you feeling now? Has the trip from little A soothed you? Cant wait to see you in April A walk and cake i think.

I did a preg test this morning, BFN. My last period was 10th Jan but still no AF signs yet. We were not really going hell for leather though as Jake had shingles and if you get shingles in early preg it is not good. Miscarriage and sometimes something wrong with the baby

Jacob all better and back at school on Monday, only for dh and baby to get pox on Tuesday. I am house bound....

and tired, so tired.

B cries, i pick him up, it hurts\itches him, i put him down, he cries, i pick him up ad infinitum.

Ltinomom i had made up a lovely email for you and put pics of the kids in only for B to yell and i managed to lose it all. I WILL be doing it again today Sorry to hear you are still having to go in. So lovely that your mom is back now though.

JW how is the house move going?

Lupins71 · 16/02/2008 06:46

LGT hope it gets better soon, A was in my ned all night again with his itchy excema skin

I have been amazed at how the kids have entertained themselves with no toys, considering how many rooms are rammed with toys and they are all packed away, dd had friends over yesterday - they took a look around like what the hell are we supposed to do, then went on to play hide and seek, jump on matteresses and make sweetie trails which they teased me with, Arlen has been playing with a stack of paper cups, a frying pan, wooden spoon and a hairbrush

cameroonmama · 16/02/2008 07:23

Lups - my 3 have been making do with sweet fanny adams to play with for nearly 2 months now J loves to play with saucepans and wooden spoons and get so excited when we are at someone else's house!

not listening to chocolate talk, not listening..

LG&T poor you, and Beau of course. How miserable for you all. It'll soon be over. I am thinking of getting ds1 immunized here, as he has not yet had them and the older he gets the worse it'll be. I checked about the infertility and cp link and could find none I think I might have got my infectious diseases mixed up. But i think you are right in holding off ttc until all the pox are gone, because of course you could still get shingles from cp if Hugs gets them next.

Waves to everyone else. Lovely and sunny today, I have sent them all out and I am doing some admin (when I get off MN that is!)

Lupins71 · 16/02/2008 08:00

Cam it really has surprised me, willow is used to having so many toys around it looks like woolworths warehouse sometimes, i thought her nose would be buried in the nintendo, luckily today she is being taken ice skating so that should keep her amused for a few hours she is also quite into helping with the boxes

AM when is your move going ahead?

AprilMeadow · 16/02/2008 08:53

JLT, i think i started getting af pains about 1week before it actually arrived.

LG&T, i hope that you are able to relax a bit whilst the knobber has your little rascals. Fingers crossed that N will be back on form soon and can wait on you hand and foot for a while

Re the house, we are aiming to complete by first of April. Havent started packing as the house we are moving to is literally the other side of the roundabout. Its like just moving to the otherside of the road. No need for a removal van. Although we are hoping to complete by April we are not moving in until June. There is a fair bit of work that needs doing - new floor downstairs, replace all the carpets, decorate and new kitchen. It will mean that we can move bits across gradually. And will also give us time to get rid of all the crap we are hoarding If the orginal house had gone through then we wouldnt have needed to do half as much, infact i think it would have just been a bit of painting and carpets upstairs BUT this house is a lot cheaper so even after all the work we are still beter off.

TYG, what a bugger about your rings, i hope you get them beck soon.

Good luck lups with the move. will give you a holler in a week or so once you are settled x

Just given Ella a bowl of rice krispies and she wolfed the lot

Lupins71 · 16/02/2008 09:53

AM are you not going for the one tht was just round the corner now?

AprilMeadow · 16/02/2008 10:15

The one we REALLY wanted fell through because they couldnt decide if they wanted to sell or not cost us £600 for all their mucking about. The one we have gone for was the first one we saw (has the same number of rooms just some are a bit smaller & garden is smaller). it has a better chain - us, the people we are buying from and the man they are buying from. This new one is closer to us than the other but only by about 100yrds

AprilMeadow · 16/02/2008 15:33

Just booked tickets to see Thomas & Friends at the Hammersmith Apollo in March. Ds is very excited Early birthday present. There are several locations around the uk that it is being shown at and if you book before the 29th Feb you can get 30% off - use code SKYPERKS

cinnamontam · 16/02/2008 16:43

elkiedee - I meant to say, any of those places sound great for next Wednesday. What do you ladies think?

Juicylucytoo · 16/02/2008 20:06

Re Wed meet: The one nearest to the A1 works best for me
I need to go from there to Herts (if I win a bid on Ebay) and then onto Leicester.

O was coughing continually from 1 til 4 this morning. Ever so slighty shagged today

elkiedee · 16/02/2008 21:06

Juicylucytoo - not sure which is nearest the A1 - think it's north not so far east - but if you're driving Finsbury Park might win out on parking.

cinnamontam · 16/02/2008 21:26

Just let me know and I'll be there. I'm driving from Putney

Lupins71 · 17/02/2008 09:15

AM hope ds enjoys thomas, i can see myself doing those sorts of things in a few years lol

Hope the meetup goes well, if i wasnt moving to sticksville i would have come too

We spent the night on the mattress in the living room, bedroom is now totally packed up, just kitchen to do now and all the bits and pieces at the last minute, watched the last pirates of the caribbean last night, swoon jonny depp & orlando bloom in one go - shame they couldnt have sqeezed colin firth in there somewhere too

We are without internet for 10 days once we go, hopefully will be able to catch up with you all from mums, flippin freezin in here today

Mrsjaffabiffa · 17/02/2008 10:09

AM thomas sounds fab, J is going to LOVE it! Not sure I like your new busy lifestyle, don't get chance for a natter much now.

Dh's sister moved flat's before Christmas into one with a spare room and has said we must stay with her in April when we go back to Bournemouth, yey, yey and double yey!! No hotel to fork out for, thank god! Means we can have a few extra days there.

Lups I hope your move goes smothly, sticksville is not that bad we love being away from the husstle and busstle. Takes a little time to realise you have to be organised and the times of "oh I forgot the Milk, I'll just "pop" up the road quickly" go out of the window. We are 12miles from the nearest supermarket so don't tend to "pop" out too often. tehe...

TYG, I'm VERY of your cleaner. Although I do have my Mum for our Ironing. Love her! £300 squid on the rings. I haven't worn mine since before J was born! I lost a lot of weight after H, managed to keep it off through my pg'cy with Maddie and had my rings down sized then. Now they don't fit my fat, podgy, stubby fingers again I am absolutely refusing to get them made bigger again! They charged me enough to steal my gold downsizing them and the they want to charge for adding it again too. Have a lovely time with your Mam!

LG&T, I'm feeling OK, still an ongoing battle with Maddie's behaviour and my patience but we are getting there! It was lovely to see my sister and the teeny Alfie. Looking forward to seeing you too!

Scoot, I think the washers token idea for babysitting is a brilliant!

Mum2CM, I have to be honest and say, I have NEVER looked at Jorja and not thought how cute! BUT I swear it is purely because I have older evil ones to compare her with and compared to them she is a dream! I won't tell you what I think about Maddie most days, the MN police would be after me.

mom2latinoboys · 17/02/2008 13:49

Morning all!. Oh another cloudy day here. It seems like you ladies have a lot more excitement than I do. My life is fairly boring.

anneme · 17/02/2008 14:35

Hmm - there must be something about this thread - we all seem to be able to catch things from it. We are now joining the chicken pox gang. I knew this would happen because my mum is going away tomorrow for 2 weeks! Anyway - there were a couple of good suggestions on here about good things to help with itching - can anyone remind me? S has v dry skin so not keen on calamine

TillyScoutsmum · 17/02/2008 14:57

Hi anneme - sorry to hear the pox got you .. Calamine do an aqueous cream which us much less drying that the usual lotion stuff. Oats and/or Bicarbonate of Soda in a coolish bath seemed to help as well. Calpol Night or Medised also good cos of the anti histamine in them - helps stop itching and helps them to sleep...

anneme · 17/02/2008 21:55

thanks TSM - oats seemed to help. will go and buy drugs tomorrow!

Lupins71 · 18/02/2008 08:39

Over and out for a few days, take care all, hope ev1 with pox recovers soon and there arent too many dramas amongst everyone else - look forward to catching up with you all take care xxx

AprilMeadow · 18/02/2008 12:15

Had a slight breakthrough with ds's sleeping.. Bought him a new matress & duvet for his bed as the one that he was just crappy, so uncomfortable and his duvet is a toddler one that is so thin and flimsey it cant possibly keep him warm. Bought him a firm memory foam one and a 13.5tog duvet and the last two nights he has only woken once but has stayed in his bed from 8pm-7am >

Just getting ready to go to work this afternoon. Have such a busy week as teh finance lady leaves on Wednesday and i take over from her on Thursday. Crapping pants as have realised after being on the sage courses just how much i have to do. just hoping that i dont botch it up! I am sure that after a monthor two of actually using it i should be ok.

Am trying Ella on some of the bits that ds is eating as it would be so much easier if i didnt have to prepare 2 sets of food at meal times. Last night we all had spag bol and she loved it. Lunch today is ham wraps with orange pepper strips and cucumber. Ds on second round of wraps Not much wastage for ella either.

Little miss has 2 new words 'Jack' & 'Cat'. It was so cute yesterday, we went out for the afternoon to a museum in basingstoke and J fell asleep on the way there, we were calling him to try and wake him up and E started to join in she was very proud of herself.

Hope you lovely ladies are well on this lovely sunny/chilly day.

TTFN x

twelveyeargap · 18/02/2008 12:26

Sorry to hear about the pox-ridden households. Bicarbonate of soda, mixed into a paste, daubed on the spots and then rinsed off after a few minutes can really take the sting out. Works better than putting bicarb in the bath, ime.

My Next delivery finally arrived, delivered by someone who lives in number xx on "very similar road name to mine". Poor chap arrived home from holiday on Sat to find a maternity dress shoved through his letterbox and dropped it straight round. Then yesterday his neighbour knocked on his door with my other two parcels which she'd taken in, not realising it was the wrong address. Really nice of him to come round with it all on the spot. Must send a thank you card. Rang Next to ask them please not to deliver to that address again as it would be annoying for all and embarrassing for me.

However, am now feeling quite spruce in my new maternity cargo pants and am all made up, perfumed, hair backcombed, fluffed and clipped up, all for no particular reason other than feeling like I deserve it.

Has anyone heard from SOH? Are they getting on well? No broadband?

twelveyeargap · 18/02/2008 17:05

It's a boy, we're having.

TillyScoutsmum · 18/02/2008 17:53

TYG - Massive blue tinged congratulations to you. You have 2 girls already don't you ? So you weren't made up, perfumed and backcombed for no reason they ?

cinnamontam · 18/02/2008 18:06

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TYG [grin[ That is wonderful wonderful news. So happy for you guys. Is DH pleased and what do the girls have to say about the thought of a baby brother?

mom2latinoboys · 18/02/2008 18:21

Yeah TYG!! Congrats on the boy.
