TYG - how exciting - and lots of shopping opportunities for non pink things too!!

Don't think S is too worried about his pox - although is VVV spotty. V sweet last night - I heard a funny noise from the boys' room when I went to bed - S was laughing in his sleep!

Yup, there's no doubt. I have a pic of his willy! Hahaha. Poor little thing was prodded for about half an hour and we couldn't get the umbilical cord from between his legs. Got up, had a walk around and a wee and a cup of coffee and we tried again. I felt a bit sorry for him in the end with the way we were invading his privacy! Took 45 mins to get the right angle, but there's no doubt. DH had the day off today for President's Day, (US markets closed) so we decided to pay for a gender scan and then he doesn't need to take time off for the 20 week scan. I'm really surprised. I think we'd talked ourselves into it being another girl, but it's definitely going to be fun buying some blue things. Aww.

congrats 12YG on your blue bundle, just caught that bit of news but off to catch up now, good luck with the move lups and sorry to all of you pox struck folks.

PS having shitty few weeks as took G back to special care a fortnight ago to return breast pump they lent me and then the day after they call up and say he looks a little pale bring him in for check up. So last week was a round of hospital visits whilst they extract pints of blood (ok a few vials it just seems like pints) collect wee samples and then call us in saying he needs a transfusion sort out childcare for DD get back there and they put a canular in then further analysis on blood reveals haemoglobin is 5.5 and looks (they think) down to severe iron deficiency. So they let us home. (I was told to stop iron supplements and multivitamins when weaning). Anyway now in iron twice a day, folic acid and vile multivitamin once a day. Hopefully this will sort it out, have to go back to see if any improvement next week if not then it is transfusion time and investigations as to why he is so anaemic [worried mum emoticon].
I just thought we were on the home straight he is feeding really well, can almost sit up, he waves to us and gabbles away to us all. Just feel crap as though I should have spotted something wasn't right. To top it off one of first thing mum said was you should have had him on formula. Grrrrr
Rant rant rant feckity feck.

And breath, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and repeat.

Sorry whinge bag moment over just ignore me I feel better for getting it off my chest.

Charley sorry you have had a few bad weeks, am sure G will be fine but will keep fingers crossed for next week anyway

Alana still has her rash, the dr thinks its probably viral and has given us some cream to smother her in. Its not bothering her but looks and feels horrible

Had a lovely valentines, dh bought me a gold bracelet to replace the one I broke a while ago. And then we went out for a meal on Friday, it was really nice although I have to confess I did drink a bit too much

Ive had my hair chopped again. Only went to hairdressers on Friday for a quick trim and ended up having something similar to Kym Rider. Everyone says it really suits me except E who when he saw me from behind said I had a boys haircut. I also dyed my hair backk to my natural colour, well I think it is anyway. Ive dyed my hair so many times over the years I cant actually remember what my natural colour is lol

E had his first black eye at the weekend, he ran into the back of a chair, was lovely and puffy the next day. Im just glad hes got the week off school

J is off to the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday to watch the Royal Marines Band. He was one of 5 in his school picked to go. He is really looking forward to it

Poor you charleymouse. Hope G gets sorted, sounds like you are on the right track but all those extra things are a pain I'm sure.

DD2 hasn't had the pox yet! It went round nursery a few times when she was there and she managed to miss it.

Hope all the pox and cold ridden people are feeling better soon

cinnamontam and juicylucytoo, and anyone else who's interested in meeting up tomorrow?

I don't have CAT though I think I might cough up the money to use it, but please could you email me on my yahoo account - it's same as my user name here on yahoo dot co dot uk and I'll send you my mobile number. I'm running with the time suggestion of midday, so I'm going to visit my cousin who lives in the area in the morning and setting off from there to arrive at the Finsbury Park Cafe at 12 noon.

I believe the drive in entrance to the park is on Endymion Road N4 and my suggestion is that we meet just inside or just outside the cafe at 12. There's probably be other mums and babies there so I'll try to make sure there's an up to date pic of us both on my profile and I'll get my current book out of my bag - Water of Death by Paul Johnston.

Hi guys. Goodness me you lot have been chatting furiously since Thursday haven't you.
We had a lovely weekend away. Dh bought me Chelsea tickets and we went down to the big smoke on Saturday morning leaving the kids with my parents. We went by train and it was the first time we had seen the new St Pancras station so we had a nosey round, sad I know but we don't get to London very often!! It was such a lovely day (although freezing) that we got the tube to Covent Garden and then after a coffee stop, walked through St James Park, Green Park and some of Hyde Park. We just chatted, walked and watched the world go by. It was so relaxing. We were both intrigued by the roller blading courses set up in Hyde Park. We then got a bus to Bayswater which is one of our favourite parts of London, went for a pizza then headed to the ground. It was a lovely day which finished well as Chelsea won the match too. We stayed with my parents again on Saturday night and since then we have been in Skegness visiting dh's family. It's a sad and very tacky place, especially when most of it is closed. The whole place was covered in thick fog, not sure if it was better or worse. It certainly wasn't much fun driving home.
R is over the chicken pox now. She still has a few scabs on her tummy and back but they have all cleared up nicely. Tomorrow I have a day on my own with her as C is off out for the day with the grandparents.

cinnamontam, I didn't get your email, sorry. D had a disturbed night too.

Wednesday would be the best day for me next week but a little later would be easier as there's a lovely swimming thing in the morning nearby, and I'd prefer to take our swimming things home and come out again. I should be able to do about 1.30, or if people want to make it slightly earlier and I will join you there.

Next Friday afternoon (29th Feb) might be possible, but it would be later as I would be leaving a pool near Clissold Park about 2 pm (or Clissold Park is lovely but I'm not sure what the parking situation is - nearest tube is Manor House on the Piccadilly Line probably about a mile away).

Wahoooo TYG boys rock you lucky thing! I bet D is thrilled too, and S! Oh a lovely little boy. Will he have a gorgeous Irish name like his sisters? You can go crazy shopping for blue things too!

CM please dont feel bad my lovely, the twins were in and out of hospital for their first year too. Usually with Bronchiolitis, it nearly wiped me out on several occasions. I stopped giving the boys the Abidec multivits when they were about 7 months old i think. They had properly weaned then, but not one person told me what to do! I had no advice as far as their diet went either. I am sure George will be fine. How bloody awful having to go back in though and watching them put cannulas in and take blood. It truly is the worst thing about it all, i was always torn between staying to watch and hold them (or hover as other nurses etc held them) and leaving the room. I stayed but it seemed like it was just torture for them and me, little faces looking at me pleading and me totally helpless to do anything. Good grief i wish you were closer for a hug I hope you have some good friends around you. Please email if you want, or call. I cant promise not to sob down the phone with you though.

All quiet in the G&T household, kids away. We just have little B, he is still poxed but much better today. DH has been signed off work for another week as he is still covered and contagious. He is much better though too.

After doing a clearblue digital on Saturday as AF had still not arrived i had another BFN and AF arrived yesterday. I just knew it was coming, awful backache. It took 3 days f that before appearing though so i did the test as sometimes you get that feeling anyway with early preg dont you? I am pleased really though as the twins birthday is October and 2 a month is enough i think!

Nothing else very exciting happening as i cant actually leave the house Hugo still has no spots so i am guessing he will get it when he comes home or early next week and i will be in for another 2 weeks. This is my 4th week in so far....

How is everyone else? House moves going well? Pox fading Abby and Aneme?

I just thought of something that has happened, my brother phoned over the weekend and he is getting married (again) in August! He is so like me, minimal fuss and they are doing it all in a hotel in Plymouth, lovely. I will be cake making and as long as it is chocoalate and non traditional i have almost free reign Will link to some possibles.
