Please tell me you took notes NL???

runnyhabbit · 31/01/2008 20:14

gmm &

what is it with our menfolk recently?

NorthernLurker · 31/01/2008 20:15

GMM - I have two windows open - read one and type on the other Tis the only way!

geordiemacminx · 31/01/2008 20:16

I know I'm not the easiest person to live with at the moment, but a little bit of support, rather than hassle would go a long way. I'm gonna have C all day tomorrow, tomorrow night and probably most of Saturday while dp is nursing his hangover, I know most of you cope with a lot more, but at the moment I struggle to even carry C up the stairs.

oooggs · 31/01/2008 20:17

bloody hell NL

runnyhabbit · 31/01/2008 20:19

Saw the our nice dr earlier - and W turned his cuteness to maximum
Chest is clear, glands up a little tiny bit, but overall nothing to worry about, and no ab.
Just told me if anything changes (for the worse) then to go straight back

justpinions · 31/01/2008 20:20

Hi ladies !!!

Well......

Spb - drinks list looks fine to me, save us a glass of red, but not cheap stuff mind .

Gmm - dp sounds like is being a total arse to me. Without sounding condescending sp??, babies, especially the first places a huge strain on any relationship. It must have been all that table dancing that has knackered your leg I guess??

As for tea we had takeaway cos I decided at about - um - 5.30 that I was definitely in can't-be-arsed-mood .

Dippy - how's it going with your lesser half at the mo, any better ??

NL -this has really struck a cord with me. Although my job has stayed the same etc, they really left me hanging in thin air for ages and it really was awful, the not knowing, and not knowing where you are heading, and being at home (as opposed to be being in at work where you could sort it out iyswim). Plus let's face it, we have all just had babies for goodness sake, let's go easy on ourselves. My work handled my return about as delicately as a bull in a china shop. If I you were I would demand to go in and talk to them face-to-face as there is only so much that can be done on the telephone??

Um .

Am I up-to-date !!

Forecast snow here for tomorrow, fantastic not.

Off to tackle the to do list now () just don't seem to have any organisation at all thesedays .

justpinions · 31/01/2008 20:25

............and T has been on antibiotics for the last 4 days and over the past 2 days he has done (really) about 15 poos .

oooggs · 31/01/2008 20:26

thats more nappies than I get through

geordiemacminx · 31/01/2008 20:27

Thats rather a large amount of poo's Pinions. C does between 1 and 3 a day. Are you in disposables?

He's still not back

justpinions · 31/01/2008 20:31

Yes disposables. I change it, give him a drink, turn my back and he does another one straightaway, going back to docs tomorrow. anything he eats just seems to come straight out the other side, convinced it's the Ab's.

This is the second lot of Ab's since Xmas, for both of them (chest infection).

And his bum is red raw .

Maybe a few days apart from dp would help, or it that not a good idea .

justpinions · 31/01/2008 20:34

Of-course-disposables !!!

justpinions · 31/01/2008 20:35

Him, not me that is .

geordiemacminx · 31/01/2008 20:39

He's back - if I'm not on tomorrow you know I'm inprisioned after stabbing him

Lucewits · 31/01/2008 20:40

gmm

justpinions · 31/01/2008 20:40

Take a deeeeeeeep breath !!

Octothechildherder · 31/01/2008 20:43

Ernie has been doing that with his dodgy tummy this week ... and I use cloth! I did think a disp would be easier but the poo shot straight up his back, down his legs, out the bottom of his trousers and all over the cream carpet!!! Never again!

mammyjo · 31/01/2008 20:44

GMM, at your dh. Agree with what SPB said about them just not getting it. Hope he gets back soon and you can sort things out. I can almost feel your frustration, know where you are at, they can be so bloody insensitive sometimes.

mammyjo · 31/01/2008 20:45

Sorry gmm, x posted then. Hope you sort things out now xx

weeonion · 31/01/2008 20:48

gmm - spare room here if you and c need it. seriously. you have been a good pal to me and never once have i seen you like a miserable cow. there is stresses and strains with a new baby - maybe dp isnt getting that or maybe he is and doesnt know how to deal with it. you have a knackered leg (doesnt matter that you done it while dancing to belinda carlisle/cyndi lauper/ bon jove ) and you need a bit more support. let me know if you want to pop over for a coffee or meet up. either that or you want me to come pull the knife out of dp's back!

justpinions · 31/01/2008 20:50

He's got a decidedly dodgy tummy at the mo, how you experts manage cloth nappies I'll never know !!?

GMM ?? arsehole men .

SW ladies have fun ! Detailed reports expected....y'know...who's snoggin who that kinda thing !!

Night all !

geordiemacminx · 31/01/2008 20:52

I dont want to be here anymore.

Sexonlegs · 31/01/2008 20:53

Oh GMM, men really are from a different planet. I hope you can sort something out.

Pinions, blimey 15 poos. Must be the ab's - they can have that effect. I wonder if there are any other ab's that aren't so harsh on his poor tummy.

NL, that was a hell of a post! I am well impressed.

Runny, glad W is ok.

All ok here. K seems somewhat unsettled. She woke up after an hour and was crying. I found her lying on her tummy holding herslef up on her arms iykwim, so I think she was just struggling to get back on to her back. Gave her a cuddle and have stuck her down again, but she too has had a shitty cough since xmas and it keeps waking her up. Have gone for the medised option again so keep your fingers crossed.

Right, need to spend tie with dh as he is feeling left out.

See you tomorrow. xx

mammyjo · 31/01/2008 20:53

Would you go to WO's for the night, maybe the time apart is what you need just now.

oooggs · 31/01/2008 20:53

wo - knife in back!!!!!

gmm - the offer is there, take it if you need to. A baby can put huge pressures on a relationship, it did with ours and I was a mess but we got through it, it gets easier and another child (or two ) is nowhere near a bad
