the word period can't be offensive...can it?

oooh scared of Maveta now!

Got to go bath baby - back later

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 19:18

Awh give the poor starving kitties the chicken... you know you want to!!! Although I would kick the pesky fuckers cats out for a bit first to teach them a lesson....

Mixed kebabPesha - thought about chicken, then lamb, then donner, so thought mixed would be a safe bet!

Pesha · 01/02/2008 19:20

Bramshott - D has bf when he wakes up cos I dont normally get time to do breakfast till after school run - same as Ange! Although this morning we were up earlier and he started to whinge so I chucked him in the highchair with a rusk then did proper brekkie after school.

GMM - glad things are a little better now You know if you're having a chicken kebab they're low fat compared to other takeaways!

NL - dont be so sure!! Maia had chicken pox when Nathan was 8 months and he never caught it!

Dippy - hope she doesnt get it too badly.

MJ - hope F is better soon, and more importantly well enough to come tomorrow.

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 19:21

Yep, low fat, to go with the chips that I ordered too

CaptainDippy · 01/02/2008 19:22

Organic garbage would get it everytime .... but then I'm not much of an animal lover.

Yes, NL, I fully expect P to get the Pox too - and like you said - best to get it over with ..... Just glad DD1's already had it - I think I'd go completely insane if I was at home with all three of them.....

CaptainDippy · 01/02/2008 19:24

DD1 had the Pox when DD2 was 2 weeks old and I am so glad she didn't get it cos she was about 4lb 6oz at the time and so little and tiny and weak ....

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 19:24

Pesha, I did put a message on the meet up thread just to ask if people were ok with us still coming if she isnt quite right. Wouldnt bring her if she was really poorly, but I think its probably just a cold. Bit of a cough, runny nose, temp, you know the drill!
Thankfully she has settled now, drunk 6oz of milk and gone to sleep. Hopefully she will sleep for a while.

Maveta · 01/02/2008 19:25

Lol NL

Starving kitties my arse. He was kicked straight out when it happened. well, chased around the house and then out but is back in again. Ok I´ve saved the meat and will give it to them later but they followed me all the way down the stairs with the garbage bag with the rest of it in and were very HA! (small victories for us cat owners, you know)

And another thing, am I the only one that never gets to the bottom of the laundry pile? What is WITH that? Pre baby - 3 or 4 loads a week. Post-baby approx 2 loads a day. How? HOW? The bloomin´ thing is NEVER EMPTY!

CaptainDippy · 01/02/2008 19:28

I have to admit, I am pretty good at keeping on top of the washing. I do a load every other day usually; but I do have an evil tumble drier

Anyway, I'm off to Book Group now so night, night lovely ladies xxxx

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 19:29

As a mother I dont think you are expected to get to the bottom of the washing pile! I know I dont, there is a constant stream no matter how many loads I do!

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 19:29

Night CD xx

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 19:30

Maveta - I know exactly what you mean about washing - before C I could wear a jumper for a couple of days (filthy cow emoticon) but now, its outfit for c, pj's for C and most of my clothes cos they always get covered in sticky fingers/baby snot and other unidentifiable baby stuff

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 19:32

dps cousin isa farmer, hey have 3 boys under 7 - his wife does at least 2 loads A DAY! I bet Caz never stops washing

Ok so kebab here - cost £7.70, gave him a tenner - was I over generous cos I was flustered as in pj's? or is that about right?

oooggs · 01/02/2008 19:33

Ffion get better soon and come and see us tomorrow, Erin needs a female playmate to boss around of her own size

DS1's face is a mess, he used it as a brake again and this time daddy wasn't there to pick up the pieces I spent a long time washing it and getting the grit out, my baby it looks dreadful he is going to scare the horses

gmm - enjoy your take out and have a glass of wine

Maveta · 01/02/2008 19:38

Ikwym GMM - I was just pondering this as I hung up an(other) load now, I hardly ever washed my jumpers before. I mean, I always wore layers under them and if they didn´t actually get anything spilt on them, there was no need. Now I have to change everyday unless I actually want to showcase the snail trail look of snot that´s been wiped all over me. A dryer would be amazing. I think that´s what drags it out so much. In summer it would all be dry in a couple of hours, folded, put away, done and dusted. In winter here it is so humid! and the house isn´t that warm so everything goes up on the roof, then at night it isn´t quite dry so have to take it all down and hang it up on the airer again. then fold and put away in the morning and do another couple of loads

ho hum.

GMM - hefty tip there woman! definitely pj-induced!

runnyhabbit · 01/02/2008 19:38

Evening all

GMM - thinking of you x
MJ - hope F starts to perk up a bit
Maveta - we have cats, and tbh, I can't stand them wasn't so bad before the boys, but they are pita now. So NO - they would not have the chicken
CD - hope dd is ok

Had a lovely suprise today - a lovely bouquet from Interflora and a bottle of red wine - from work! The little card with it said how much I will be missed, and thank you for all the hard work and effort I'd put in.

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 19:38

Poor ds1 oooggs, hope he is ok now

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 19:40

I hate those bits in kebabs that look like dog willies URGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

oooggs · 01/02/2008 19:40

wow runny - maybe they weren't so bad after all

mammyjo - you will see the mess tomorrow

DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT WASHING!!!!!!!!!

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 19:40

Runny, that was nice of them. I know your boss had got to be a total pita, but at least your efforts didnt go unrecognised

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 19:41

Fantastic about flowers and wine runny

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 19:41

I cant bear kebabs anyway, but dont remember seeing anything that looked like dogs willy when dh eats them

oooggs · 01/02/2008 19:42

don't kebabs come in two types chicken & alsatian

runnyhabbit · 01/02/2008 19:43

loads of x posts there

Maveta - my washing machine is on at least once a day. And thank god for tumble driers. I don't hink our laundry bin will ever be empty...

Oooggs - poor ds. Hope he's ok

MJ - it doesn't bother me in the slightest

GMM - lol at the tip

Maveta · 01/02/2008 19:44

um - not sure I know what you mean GMM

runny - aww that was nice of them. Poor cats, they´ve been so shoved out since N was born but they do know how to be pitas!

Oooggs - oh I can´t even think what washing will be like with more than one. eeek. I think by then I will be resigned to wearing snail trail clothes and be done with it. In fact maybe we should become nudists?! EUREKA!
