DJ definately is not walking.
In fact, as soon as I take his hands to "encourage" him to walk, he sits down in protest.
He has stood unaided a few times now...for the grand total of about 7 seconds, before he realises what he is doing and comes to his senses. It looks so odd him standing alone!
I really can't imagine him walking at all.
He threw a tantrum this evening as I was blocking the TV when Iggle Piggle was waving so he didnt get to wave goodbye to him. I was laughing at him so much! He was lying on the floor and shouting/screaming!!! very amusing!

well, more wine has been drunk
kitchen is a bomb site, ironing has not been done, but....trike is half way there!!!

I AM FABULOUS

Stuff working in a shop or an office
I should be a flipping mechanic or something!

The trike is done!
No nails broken
No swear words uttered.

Woo hoo!

BTW - is anyone else watching Sky One atm?
Its Star Trek Insurection (am a bit of a trekkie) and its funny coz, when I was in labour...this time exactly last year, huffing and puffing through f**king 1cm dilation for ages and ages, I watched the entire box set of Star Trek Borg episodes....I swear, I am not really a saddo!!!

Lizzzombie · 18/01/2008 21:35

Pcf - that is a flipping BARGAIN! I am very very impressed! (it looks quite fun too! Have you had a go yourself?!)

bunnyhunny · 18/01/2008 22:46

well done lizz! I was also taking myself back to this time a year ago - and i was playing zelda on the gamecube with the tens machine on, either sitting on a birthball or standing bent over yelling! Not really sure things have improved

Pcf - what a fab present! you will have to leave it out, ready for drunken evenings...

lth - pmsl at the pics!

Lizzzombie · 18/01/2008 23:00

God I LOVED my tens machine!
When I was getting to the taxi to go to the hospital (for the 3rd time!) - to actually have the baby, I knocked it on to full blast and screamed my head off in shock just as I sat down!
My DP and the taxi driver both shat themselves...was very funny! I was like "what, what?! I just hit the wrong button!"
I was almost in tears when they made me take the TENS off to get into the birthing pool!

oh no........... Baby has awoken, just as I was about to go to bed too....nice timing!

bunnyhunny · 18/01/2008 23:04

pmsl
I'm not sure I ever dared to try mine on full blast! I had to take mine off to get in the bath, but they tempted me down the hall with gas and air, which was MUCH better

I wonder if you can buy g&a....

Rgee - Ellen isn't walking yet. She has started standing for a few seconds at a time but doesn;t do it every day, much easier to crawl everywhere.

E was awake screaming at 5.15 so she came in with us but was wide awake and hitting our faces so we got up. DH has gone off to work already and E is now back in bed fast asleep. She fell asleep in her high chair eating a banana.

Bunny - was it you with the broken high chair? I am going to buy one of those booster seats like Lizz mentioned so I can put the high chair away.

Lizz - happy birthday DJ. Hope DP isn;t feeling too rough after his nigth out! Congrats on getting the trike together too. E had one for her birthday but it will be a DH job to put it together once we have moved.

I was able to keep my tel number with BT and its free so hurah!

So this morning I will be off to the local shops to get a few things in Boots, off to see Rgee this aft then tomorrow sorting out and packing. TOld DH we need to decide if anything needs to go to the tip so he can go there.

DId anyone else get a mailing from Blooming MArvellous about Muzzy, a foreign lanaguage course for babes? I did and have sent off for the free trial to see what its like.

eandh · 19/01/2008 08:39

Morning they both slept till 7.15*am which is like a long lie in for me

DH went to work at 5am woke them both up, put them in my bed they cuddled up to each other and went back to sleep they had breakfast in bed (Ellie thought it was fab) and Hattie currently trying to work out how to get a tube of pringles open.

I have highchair and booster seat, e still uses the booster quite a bit, so think I'll get another one (exactly the same to avoid arguments) and get rid of highchair.

Lizz well done on trike

PCF Looks fab!

LTH Maybe write to dog food company praising their nutritional snacks (you might get a freebie)and congrats on 1st paycheque

Vin- sounds like you have a nice day planned

We may go into town in a bit to look for the booster seat, think I'll see what mood they are in

By the way does anyone have a HP Printer and need printheads in black, yellow, magenta or cyan (number 11) they were going to be thrown away at work as we dont have these printers anymore, so thought I'd bring them home in case anyone wanted them

2happy · 19/01/2008 10:18

Wow that's fantastic eandh!! Now you know they can do it! ds2 slept in to 6am this morning, but that was after being up for an hour in the middle of the night, grr!

Wow, thinking back to this time last year - I guess i was just getting lonelier and lonelier on the antenatal thread

bunnyhunny · 19/01/2008 14:15

eah bet you feel fab today!!

vino - muzzy sounds interesting. foreign languages for babies? we are still on baa, woof and quack, and I'm pretty sure they are roughly the same in many languages

I have just stuck an egg free dairy free chocolate cake in the oven. I had to use saul's rank-tasting formula instead of milk.. Not only is there loads, but all the family is going to have to eat it and pretend it is yummy! lol.
Actually, the cake mix didn't taste too bad, so perhaps it'll be ok...

bunnyhunny · 19/01/2008 14:37

just took the cake out of the oven - my first cake EVER! and it rose and everything!

and it's actually a bit nom nom!

Wilkie · 19/01/2008 18:52

Hello all, too much chat ladies!!

LTH - love the photos

Reggie - my DSis DTs didn't walk until they were 16 months.

EAH - lucky you to have both of them lie in! (do you remember when 10am was a lie in??)

Well, have had a lovely couple of days. Been househunting (still not decided what to do: move/extend/conservatory) so are sticking our house on the market to see what happens.

Went paintballing today - got shot on my arse (fucking ow!) and then between the legs as I crouched down, right in my lady (double fucking ow!). I have a HUGE bruise on my arse!

Then DH is out for his birthday night out (he's 30 on Tues) with the boys so is getting hammered whilst I have a lovely relaxing evening! Pure bliss.

vinorouge · 19/01/2008 19:00

Wilkie - sounds like a lovely eveing on your own. Lets hope J sleeps so you can really chill out!

DH and I will be happy this evening adding comments/text to the photobook we are getting from photobox to cover birth to 1 year for Ellen. Stops me from printing too many pics and its all nicely put together for me that way. I sorted the pics and layout so we can enjoy the comments bit together. Packed all my recipe books tonight and the things from the kitchen wall so its all looking a bit bare.

Rgee gave me a lift home from her house so I showed the outside of my new house. Can't wait to be inside! Pippa and Ellen played separately (which doe amuse me ) until they both wanted to play on Pippa's fire engine. It was so cute to watch Pippa sitting on the engine and Ellen pushing her!

e&H - great news re lie in.

Bunny - the cake sounds yummy! Hope the rest of the family enjoy it.

LTH - I couldn;t quite understand what DS4s fascination with dog food was as we have no pets....until I saw Ellen going straight for Rgees cat food this afternoon. I am intruiged what responses you got in the other thread, maybe I will take a look!

Wilkie · 19/01/2008 19:05

Vino - am desperate to see a photo of your bump!! Can you feel him/her kicking yet? (all excited and broody at the prospect of discussing teeny babies yet again...broody?? Moi??? No, siree, no way, na ha, not me.....honest )

vinorouge · 19/01/2008 19:10

Wilkie - my bump was the first thing Rgee commented on! Will take a pic and post one when I get chance (our camera has broken, should have got Rgee to do it today)

DH currently cooking tea. I'm hungry!

Our water is fixed and back on, until they turn it off again on Monday for completing the repairs.

ladytophamhatt · 19/01/2008 19:11

Wilkie, you know how we LOVE deadliest catch?

well I've got a new favourite now, Ninja warrior have you seen it?

I even Sky+ its when I wentto get ds2 from football this morning so I could see the end.

If FAB

ladytophamhatt · 19/01/2008 19:12

its FAB, not if....

Wilkie · 19/01/2008 19:13

Pray tell more...

What is Ninja Warrior and where can I find it

(am missing Deadliest Catch repeats as Virgin has taken Discovery off us )

Wilkie · 19/01/2008 19:14

Although now have got addicted to watching repeats of Property Ladder

I need to get a life, I am ONLY 26 FGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

ladytophamhatt · 19/01/2008 19:16

challenge, sky 124.
it slike extreme gladiators from the 90's but soooooo much better.

Me and the dsses were whooping with delight today as our favourite reached the end of stage 4, which mean he IS a ninja warrior.

Honestly it's wicked

ladytophamhatt · 19/01/2008 19:20

100 contestents start at stage 1. 4 stages and the numbers gradulally get less and less. some of teh USA olymipic gymnastic team try it (and fail usullyy)

Only 2 people have ever reached the end of stage 4, our man today has competed in it 11 times.

vinorouge · 19/01/2008 19:25

repeats of property ladder.....now that catches my attention Wilkie!

LTH - you sound as though you are 'down with it' or should it be 'up with it'??!
