I agree Rgee. Praps we should pick a date and the find out who can definitely make it... and then decide where to meet?

(hope you haven't done that all ready and i just missed it...)

Definitely need somewhere with easy public transport connections (like london!)

I've been having a mega organising day today and have sorted out all our paperwork/files etc. I took 3 full bin bags of old papers/magazines etc. to be recycled and filed the rest away really neatly, all labelled and everything! (am i turning you on eah? Loved the pics of Leeds catle btw. I remember going there as a child and loving it.)

Freddie is teething AND has ANOTHER cold. I haven't had a proper nights sleep all week.

LOL at all this accent and farmer giles stuff ..... and all you southerners DO have accents even if you think you dont !

FWIW I do not have a Geordie accent as I have only lived here a few years, the kids do pick a bit of it up at school and add 'man' to the end of a sentence .... in the way 'What do you think you are doing man ? ' It is a really nice accent if you can understand it. I suppose my accent is a bit Northern but not in the 'Ay up' kind of way

Very impressed with all the walking and talking babies .... but does she say 'Daaaark' or 'Duuuuck' then ? I'm imagining the former ....

Right really must get on MIL arriving in 3 hours ........

bunnyhunny · 04/02/2008 12:51

pmsl at all the accent discussion.
wait til you hear mine! Oi am a roight farrrma. well, maybe not that bad..

I think I am ill. I feel really wiped out and just want to go to bed Huge headache, feeling chilly and general lethargy. I don't know whether to tell work I am not well or chance it that I will be ok for tomorrow. thing is, I can't really put my finger on what is wrong with me.

ladytophamhatt · 04/02/2008 12:55

normal service has resumed with G. God knows what was wrong with him, he never cries/screams like that...I was starting to panic that there was something wrong and was aboutto whisk up the hospital!

Lucky for both of us he fell asleep when he did.

Does anyone have a time machine? I need to fast forward time by about 2 weeks because I wantto know if I'm going to get my period.
My mind is playing all sorts of tricks on me making me think I must be when I can't possibly know now. Tis really annoying because we;ve never really been actively TTC before....thsi is all new to me.

laughalot · 04/02/2008 13:20

Lth it will be fab if you are pg .

Bunny you arent pg are you ?

ladytophamhatt · 04/02/2008 14:07

2happy · 04/02/2008 14:22

Synching babies again, then. ds2 was just shitey shitey shite shite fri and sat nights. WOke up screaming again last night - when I looked at the clock I could not believe it was only 11.30, couldn't cope with a whole night of it, so I drugged him . Poor kid. But ds1 went to sleep ok - I swear, if it's not one it's the other.
ds1 been a PITA today - sorry, shouldn't say that about him, but it's true. He's tantrummed every time we've picked him up from CM the past 2 weeks, so today (because she was feeling bad about it, bless her) she dropped him at my work. Fine, no tantrums...until we got to the car and we realised we were going home not back to CM's. Screams all the way home, refuses to get out of car when we got home. Ended up carrying him up and dumping him in his bedroom and shutting the door, but he has gone to sleep so he was tired.
bunny - hope you feel better today
UD - great to have you back, when's your first day?
kw3 - we've got friends in Newcastle area and their dd's have a right accent, it's very cute!

Now, where the hell is Northampton...?!

OP posts:
2happy · 04/02/2008 14:24

...or Nottingham (geography was my weakest subject at school!)

OP posts:
laughalot · 04/02/2008 14:27

2happy im nottingham come and stay with me

2happy · 04/02/2008 14:32

Nottingham 4 and 1/4 hours, with one change
Northampton 6 hours, with one change - oh no, there's one at 5hr40m

Ummm, I'm thinking I would prefer Nottingham on the whole (or alternatively, somewhere on the East Coast main line ) Sounds like I would only be able to do something that involved an overnight stay - which also means I can't do it until ds2 not bfeeding any more (or I bring him with me - not ideal for a spa day!!)

2happy · 04/02/2008 14:32

Ooh overnight stay at Lal's!! fantastic!

I'll email you my labelled map tonight if you want 2happy??

LTH/Bunny - ooooo I am all excited for you although hope you feel better soon (shame your Mum cant have S for the day )

DH has taken Ellie to all the activities, she found a leaflet for gymnastic lessons so need to ring leisure centre and find out when they are and the cost. They are now painting her feet and she is making feet paintings (I bet it is everywhere when I get home) Havent heard from my Mum so assuming everything is ok

shimmer - very proud of the organisation in your house! I have finally set up my office the way I want it and am loving all my systems (god forbid anyone borrows my desk the days I am not here ) I have a lovely photo I did on the Kodak thing in Boots you can have up to 25 pictures on one 8x6 with a photo background. I have one of me and dh with the girls as my main one and then 5 medium/small pics of the girls on their own, I love it was 99p then £2 for a fram from Wilko's!

OK so who wants to know what super bargains I got today?................

2happy · 04/02/2008 14:50

Lal . I have to go on a training weekend in May, so ds2'll either be weaned by then, or my supply will be strong enough to cope with 2 days away - I'm sure ds2'll not notice the difference, laid back child that he is.

eandh - spill! (I meant about the bargains, rather than hoping there's some paint spillage at home. IYSWIM. I'll shutup now)

2happy · 04/02/2008 14:51
