Wilkie · 03/02/2008 19:12

You could stay with me??

eandh · 03/02/2008 19:14

Ooooo could I (although would be very paranoid about snoring!!) but would mean I could meet my uture son in law (actually I'll bring Hattie they could have a date - 2nd thought unless we want her at the spa she'd scream the place down with a random stranger)

Wilkie · 03/02/2008 19:15

YEY!!! (obv unless DH gets the job on Weds!)

eandh · 03/02/2008 19:16

Proud Mum moment coming - when we were at the castle she stopped walking pointed at the ducks and said 'Look' so we all looked and said 'yes its a duck they go quack quack'
Few minutes later he stops again (there are lots of ducks there) 'Look quack'

I was so proud (she hasnt said it since though [mm])

eandh · 03/02/2008 19:17

or if in dark room maybe back massage!

bunnyhunny · 03/02/2008 20:19

is this still for the meet up?

this might not be what you all thought of, but how about staying somewhere overnight? meal out etc?

and love 'look quack'

theUrbanDryad · 03/02/2008 20:20

AAAAARGH i said ages ago that the most central place for a meet up was Northampton (when i still lived there) you lot are rubbish!

hello again btw - sorry for my mini flounce and thank you for all your congrats about the job. Z has his first "long" session at nursery on Tues, they want him to sleep and have lunch there!

i went to the GP and my new GP is so much better than my old GP (UD wonders how many times she can say GP in one sentence!) she reckons i might be bi-polar, which means i fancy both male and female arctic bear... she's arranging for me to have some cognitive behavioural therapy, which i am oddly looking forward to.

i am a bit disappointed that no-one has called me a farmer or posh, LTH sounds ever so common and Wilkie sounds very Northern to my ear. in other news i am meeting Hunkermunker for a pint tomorrow lunchtime

theUrbanDryad · 03/02/2008 20:22

oh, btw

Eandh - Kent
Wilkie - Lincoln
LAL - Mansfield
Rgee - Leeds (?)
Lizzombie - Eastbourne
bunny - cambridge
susie- London
2Happy - North Northumberland
UD - Chesham, Bucks

Susie - where in London are you? we could do a mini meet up with Shimmer (she is near Russel Sq IIRC)

Reggiee · 03/02/2008 20:25

ud!!!!!!!

ladytophamhatt · 03/02/2008 20:27

Ds4 has screamed pretty much all weekend, I'm just about atthe point of losing it. He screaming now beacuse of god knows what. has had mediced and nurofen, milk, water, food, cuddles, blanket, dummy, me, dh, been aloud to crawl about and nothing is right.

DSfucking1, just woke him up AGAIN and i am not happy.

Reggiee · 03/02/2008 20:27

lth....and breathe.....

eandh · 03/02/2008 20:30

you're back glad things are moving forward for you and thankyou for agreeing wilkie does have a slight northern accent

Bunny - am liking any idea that involves night off children and I will be pressurising Hattie to do 'Look Quack' when we feed ducks later in the week.

DH off work this week and he has it so easy, I am working tomorrow so in theroy he'have to deal with the girls from 8 to 5.30 on his own (like I do all week!) but no my Mum feels sorry for him so picking Hattie up at 7.45 and taking her to my Nans for the day with her (will drop her home around 4)

So he onlys to deal with the backchatting/stroppy one but has promised her they can go for a run in the morning (she often goes for a run on sundays with him!!!!) and then they are going swimming, then to soft play so guess who is going to be favourite parent tomorrow anyway I refuse to sort dinner for her so he'll have to cook her something (except I bet she has mcdonalds or chipp) and then I'll be home around 5.30 (and I bet I do bath time as he'll be 'knackered') and he wont cook us dinner (was thinking of leaving list of jobs I do but he wont do them)

At least I can do preschool run tues/weds/turs without taking Hattie with me, oh I forgot on Friday when I am at work again his Mum is having both of them from 9 to 3 so hecan go and play golf wit his best mate

eandh · 03/02/2008 20:33

lth - overtired?? Hatties naps going all over the place at the mo and realised she was nightmare the days she hadnt slept much. She seems to like having a long sleep mid morning and no afternoon nap anymore but goes to bed like a dream at 6pm (oh and medised isnt for her seems to let her nod off for an hour then up for hours so just sticking to calpol and nurofen for now)

ladytophamhatt · 03/02/2008 20:39

he was up all night last night so it looks like tonight is going to be fun too.

FGS, I could wring ds1's neck. I've lost count how many time I've asked him (and the others but mostly him) to be quiet etc. Bt he still thought it'd be a good idea to pranch about and jump over ds4 in his chair when he'd just gone to sleep...and kicked the bloody cahir.

If they'd all gone to bed when I'd told them too I'd be sitting down relxed and clam now but DH insisted they could stay up abit later...."Oh just let them watch this"
FGS, watch waht?? he always does that and all the do is fuck about.

I told him earlier that he has a great big flashing neon sign over his head that says "Soft touch" because he lets them run rings around him and then wonders why they behave like little fuckers when they don't listen to him.

Oh sorry,....you said breathe, didn't you?

bunnyhunny · 03/02/2008 20:41

eah - cant believe your dh will have it so easy! that is not on. It really annoys me when they do 1 day on their own, and it's much simpler than a normal day for some reason. then they feel so justified in being lazy bastards the rest of the time. like when
dh was sick on tuesday, but mum still took s for the day. but when I am sick, I still have to contend with a lary baby!

s has been poorly over the weekend, so dh has experienced really whingy s 1st hand. dh said he was doing his head in today. yes, quite. now imagine that on your own for 10 hours...

for the meetup, northampton area would be really good (only an hour and a half away!) - anywhere with good train links really. even birmingham is easy to get to on the train..

s's talking is really coming on - mostly through mimicking. but today I picked a pear up and he said 'pear'
me - yes! well done! it is a pear!
s - pear pear pear pear pear
pmsl

ladytophamhatt · 03/02/2008 20:41

Shhhhhhhhh.

the screaming has stopped.

a full 1 hour and 11 minutes after it started.....

bunnyhunny · 03/02/2008 20:42

lth - cant your dh deal with it, since he kind of let the whole thing happen?

and
great to see you back ud!!!

ladytophamhatt · 03/02/2008 20:44

he is dealing with it bunny, I'm in the breakfsat room, he's in the front room with the screamer.

I'm staying well clear.....

theUrbanDryad · 03/02/2008 20:53

Zac screamed for an hour last night. Then he was sick. Then he slept. FFs.

He's now screaming again. Dh is upstairs with him. That'll be another night of him screaming himself to sleep then...
