I have a posh twang cos I went to private school and my ex was very well spoken - but my parents are neither rich nor posh so I have gone back to my more normal nothingy accent again now.

Isn't it funny when you have a mental pictre of someone and they sound so different.

eandh · 02/02/2008 21:10

Wilkie - you so do have an accent and i do not sound like a farmer - ellie sounds like she belongs in the east end especially since dh has been teaching her chas and dave songs

Wilkie · 02/02/2008 21:11

I DON'T and you are very oo-ar Farmer Giles

eandh · 02/02/2008 21:11

i reckon me, lth and lizz would all have the same 'nothing' accent as we are fairly near each other

Wilkie · 02/02/2008 21:13

So where's this meet up gonna be? I say London

eandh · 02/02/2008 21:13

PCF - I went to a spa day but it was £60 each. Lovely though.

Cheap option is meal and then out for a booze!

eandh · 03/02/2008 09:19

I wasn't fussed about hen night so about 20 of us went to mexican retaurant (my Mum/MIL/Auntie/Bridesmaid who was 13 and her Mumcam to this bit) then after meal some of us carried on in town, went to a snooty bar that my old next door neighbour and his partner ran and she made us a VIP area ,however, SIL was completely plastered and we couldnt get in anywhere else so we (me and my 2 older bridesmaids)were home at 1.30 and in our PJ's chatting till 4am. DH had 4 stag nights/weekends including completley wankered when I was out on my hen night (he had a very bad hangover the next day )

Had a lovely day, me and DH took girls to Leeds castle (we have annual passes) it was freezing but they loved running around and we went to the aviary and found the parrott that talks (much to Ellie's joy )

We went to Old Orleans for lunch it was one free kids meal per adults meal so cost £16 for all for of us and means I don't have to cook today so I am

Just loaded some new pics onto my profile, a very cute one of Hattie all wrapped up

bunnyhunny · 03/02/2008 15:14

blimey you lot are so talkative!

pmsl at wilkie's dh's precious!!

my hen night was nearly 14 years ago! buggered if I can remember what I did! probably something illegal though

bunnyhunny · 03/02/2008 15:17

and I forgot to say that I reckon the new title thread about the meetup was good - then if anyone is still lurking but not posting (maybe dh?), then they will see we are going to get together. iyswim.

now, before we get carried away about this meet up, can I remind you all of our last meet up in August, which after much arranging of dates to suit all(I think Vino took a day off work), ended up with only four of us meeting up in London. We had a lovely time, and Shimmer was a great hostess, but it was a shame there weren't any more of us. Soooooooooo...I think as the last meeet up was down south, the next one should be up north........

Sounds like you had a lovely day today EaH. I always think Leeds castle should be on my doorstep.

PCF spa day here too. Look forward to the invite

DH still out boozing. Yawn. My mate came over today and we went to the park and fed the quack quacks.

Busy week ahead so prob not much MNetting . Off to London on Wed / Thurs.

eandh · 03/02/2008 18:31

I was thinking someone further north of London so 'you northerners ' wouldnt have so far to travel, its just working out where (and I did geography a level )

I may go and google uk map and try and pinpoint where everyone lives and try and look for good location (God I am bored)

Rgee - I always think Leeds castle should be in Leeds!

eandh · 03/02/2008 18:49

I have been anal downloaded a map and used paint application to put everyones location on and it appears Leicester/Northampton sort of way is in the middle of the furthest people

laughalot · 03/02/2008 19:00

Birmingham is about right. I say the bullring shopping centre

laughalot · 03/02/2008 19:03

Or sheffield loads of trains into sheffield station

Wilkie · 03/02/2008 19:04

What about a spa day for us????? Eden Hall in near Newark?

www.edenspa.co.uk/ Good train links to Newark and I am more than happy to be taxi driver for 4 people?

eandh · 03/02/2008 19:11

Just had a look at trains and that 3hours and 47minutes or according to my TomTom 2hrs 40mins (guess I'd drive although not sure I could drive there and home the same day)
