Why that man doesn't just admit I'm right every single time I do not know.

Just spoke to him. Before he went out he said he wants to be home by 10pm because he wants to watch something on telly, it meant leaving the pub by 8.
I told him before he left to ring me if he's going to stay later because it'll save me waiting up wondering if he;s been left for dead in the gutter somewhere. I don't mind if he stays later, not one bit but please ring to let me know, he always stay later then he says he will. ALWAYS, without fail, everytime he goes out(which isn't ever often) but no he's not going to because he doesn't want to miss whatever it is on telly

So I called to check he was getting the train and there was no answer. Now I've spoke to him and he'll be home by 11pm.

One day he'll just accept that I'm right and he's a useles time keeper

2happy · 02/02/2008 20:49

ladytophamhatt · 02/02/2008 20:50

I'm not that odd!

ladytophamhatt · 02/02/2008 20:51

Wilkie · 02/02/2008 20:52

Thought you would be posh (not that you sound common )

What is your accent? Couldn't place it??

(she sounded scared at first - I think she was worried I was a mentalist! )

Mind you, EAH sounds like a farmer...

Reggiee · 02/02/2008 20:55

Happy birthday Matthew!!
Hope the spotsa aren't too bad. LTH that wee one sounds urghhhhh.

Just got back from day trip to Oxford for work stuff. Up at 5am - yawn. DH had to look after lo all day. When I rang up this afternoon, they were 'watching the horses race' on tv .

Reggiee · 02/02/2008 20:55

bloody hell...there were about 20 posts whilst i was writing that........

2happy · 02/02/2008 20:55

Well it's posh Scottish really. English people think I sound Scottish, Scottish people think I sound English. But since Borders people speak a horrific mix of Scots and Geordie (no offence KW3 ) I stick with what I've got.

OP posts:
Wilkie · 02/02/2008 20:58

I have a 'nothing' accent. Would love a Geordie or Scots accent. BF is from Edinburgh and she sounds SOOOO lovely.

Reggiee · 02/02/2008 20:58

YEah but WIlkie's accent is posher than I imagined

2happy · 02/02/2008 20:59

I thought you sounded slightly Yorkshire ish (waits for Wilkie to announce 2h's lack of regional knowldege).

OP posts:
ladytophamhatt · 02/02/2008 21:05

IIRC UD thought I'd be posher on the phone.

Reggiee · 02/02/2008 21:05

Wilkie, I bet my accent is more nothing-y than yours.

I grew up in Hampshire, moved to Surrey and now live in east Sussex. My mum is from Bethnal Green and My dad was from hackney so both had pretty distinct east london accents, my mum especially.

I sound really nothing-y.....

ladytophamhatt · 02/02/2008 21:08

that was meantt say but I sound really nothing-y
