I think that last feed thing is happening here too Pumpkinhead.

Can I ask what volume of food people's LOs are eating? Yesterday C had half a weetabix for brekky, a couple of desert spoons of mixed veg for lunch, an egg (scrambled) and half a slice of bread for tea, followed by a formage frais thing before bed. She also had 5 (I think) BFs (plus the one in the night at 5am). Is that a lot, I can't tell?

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 11:56

DS has (when he is well)
3/4 - 1 weetabix OR 1 banana mushed in 1/4 bowl of porridge
then 6 oz milk
lunch dunno quantities as the nursery feed him but I know he has a lot plus a yoghurt or something
then 6 oz
then dinner - same as lunch
when he gets home he has rice crackers and maybe a yoghurt and then about 6oz before bed
then 7 oz in the night
then 6 oz before nursery

but he's a fat sod and weighs in at 21 lb

nursery usually feeds him things like cheesy veg or spal bol or risotto

My DS usually has a weetabix and banana for breakfast

2 mini freezer pots of stew or whatever veg stuff I've made for lunch and half mango

for dinner yesterday he had 1/3 tin of chick peas, half tub yoghurt and 1/2 mango

6 milk feeds

I don't know if this is too much or too little. He is a greedy little thing and would keep on eating if I gave it to him. Must take after his mummy.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 12:59

Thanks Fury.

C ate (a little) more yesterday than usual, and I'm hoping that if she eats similarly we might continue with more restful nights. But equally, I don't want to force her to eat too much. She's just had some mixed veg with a little grated cheese over the top for lunch, with a third of a satsuma (she can't manage the ends, so I have the ends of each segment and she has the middle). Will make her some pasta for tea, and a petit filous before bed again, and keep my fingers crossed.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 13:01

Thanks Pumpkinhead - it sounds like my C is probably now eating similar amounts to other babies (well, some at least), so I don't feel so bad.

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 16/01/2008 13:06

GRRRRRRR......my ds is driving me up the fucking wall! He pulls himself up on furniture or toys, stands up for a few mins, then falls over and bumps his head and screams the house down...then 5 mins later he does it all again! I can't leave him alone as he will do himself an injury and it's making dd attention seek as I spend most of my time rescuing ds!

Daisy, I hope you are ok, well as ok as you can be. My thoughts are with you xxx

Trace, hope chloe is well and hope you get some answers xxx

My ds has a few spoons of baby rice cereal mid-morning and then maybe some veg or fruit or bread mid afternoon. He is a boob man and much prefers milk atm!

Hope everyone else is well.

foxythesnowman · 16/01/2008 13:12

Have you got a play pen Holly? A friend of mine picked up a fab, small wooden one from the Fara Shop for hardly anything.

DD2 loved playgroup! Especially the singing.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 13:18

Hi Holly, foxy.

Glad you had a good time Foxy. Holly, I can imagine that is a right pain. Sorry.

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 13:41

I have a play pen - it takes up my whole living room but it's worth it!

They are good - we bung the Xmas tree in there so the darlings can't get to the presents too.

Hi Jammy - job done BTW

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 14:14

Thanks

thisisRialifebaby · 16/01/2008 14:21

we have a playpen at grannies and cot in the living room that we use as a playpen. to protect baggins from the others!

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 14:37

Does anyone want to do my work for me today? I am having a cart horse day.

OP posts:
foxythesnowman · 16/01/2008 14:46

yeh, i'll do it. what does it involve?

Facebook and MN?

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 14:51

it involves writing a document called a Test Plan which is also known as 'document to cover my arse when people don't deliver and it all goes to shit'.

I am on MN but it's quiet today!!

I miss my boys at home today.

foxythesnowman · 16/01/2008 14:56

awww!

What was your bro's reaction to you making him famous then?

DD1 is running around in her knickers and vest, with a pair of socks pulled up like elbow length gloves.

Am thinking she has a future in Stripping then?

thisisRialifebaby · 16/01/2008 15:01

lol foxy.

I am too naffing tired to deal with DH today.

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 15:04

My brother actually thought it was hilarious and sent it to all his mates!

I wouldn't have done it if I thought he'd be upset anyway - not worth the hassle!

LOL stripper

ello Ria! Whats he doing? Best ignored I'm sure, whatever it is.

Righto, school run and a kick about in the mud after.

BadZelda · 16/01/2008 15:23

Oops - trying to keep up with you lot, but not having much success...so sorry, I am lurking and will hopefully get a bit of time later -

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 15:48

LOL at your dd, Foxy (well your description of her anyway)

Ria, Foxy's probably right, ignore DH (until he brings you delicious but nutritionally sound tea that is )

thisisRialifebaby · 16/01/2008 16:55

Yup, ignored him. But he hasn't gone away

He is now cooking though. Little bit more activity, little less sitting on sofa with eyes shut and gob open. That should cover it

Have now buggered baggins feeding pattern for today, it was a bit early for his tea (when he has a few spoons of whatever babyfood there is - homemade or jar or fromage frais - and approx 4oz FF) but he was grumpy and needing to sleep so offered BF and he's had a really good feed and now gone to sleep. Will probably miss tea and go with the supper idea.

Normally he has several BF between about midnight and 8am, cereal breakfast with 4oz FF, lunch is BF a few spoons savoury and a fromage frais, then tea as I said, and BF whenever between 7.30 and bedtime.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 17:54

Taking the cat to the vet in a bit. Blinkin' mammoth expedition - DH has had to come home early from work, then if I go out there's the risk that C will freak out, especially as she's getting tired, plus I haven't driven for ages and can't be arsed to start tonight (rubbish of me I know ). And I don't want DH to take the cat on his own, so we're ALL going. All for a few fleas!

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 16/01/2008 19:12

I locked myself out of the flat today, with no car keys and pushchair and car seat in the car . Just got back in. Hurrumph!
