Awww trace, I really hope things with poor chloe get better soon. Thanks JBM ! Just signing off now. Glad you are feeling a bit better, hope you enjoy your groups tomorrow. It's much better when you have things to do, though it's difficult to drag yourself out in this weather.

Night all, sweet dreams and long sleeps all x

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 06:33

Wow, just had the pleasure of 7.5 hours uninterrupted sleep last night! DH tells me that C woke at 11.30 and he had to settle her, and she woke briefly at midnight but settled herself. BUT I didn't know anything until she woke for a feed at 5 And then she went back to sleep until 6.15. The best 2 nights we've had recently have been when she's had a fromage frais just before going to bed, I wonder if that's the secret?

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 08:18

Morning ....my LO always goes to bed with a full tummy .....she has her tea about 5ish and then a 9oz bottle and 6.30 - 7ish and it sends her off nicely

Got to be worth a try Jammy....

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 16/01/2008 08:23

That's great jammy! bet you feel like a new woman!

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 08:26

Well, she always has a couple of boob-fulls at bedtime but maybe it's not been quite enough? I'm really hoping this is the answer, I could do with a bit more sleep on a regular basis ready for going back to work.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 08:27

Morning Norty and Bumper!

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 08:30

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 08:39

Morning Fury, glad DS is feeling better, sorry he couldn't wait until morning!

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 08:47

now that he is better we are going to wean him off night feeds, by reducing the amount of formula in his water so the aim being he thinks' ugh what's this shit, I don't think I will bother in future'

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 08:54

Good luck with that Fury.

Right, off to get ready to go out to a group. Haven't been to this one for a month or so now, so they should really notice the difference in C.

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 08:56

I wish I could got to groups - I would like to have more RL friends with a common interest, work is ok and all but the people here all go clubbing in London etc, I'd like to meet people closer to home.
I get quite envious really.

Have fun Jammy
Looking forward to meeting up although no I dea when we can do it now as I have a 30th, 40th and 60th party to go to in the next couple of weeks!

foxythesnowman · 16/01/2008 10:10

Woo-hoo for you Jammy!

Fury, if I can stick my nose in, you might want to give DS a week or so to get his strength back up before weaning him off the night feeds. 'scuse me if I'm stating the obvious

I've been going to my toddler group for 6 years now. By the time LO goes to school it will be 9. Yikes. That's quite scary. Anyway, it starts again today after a break of about 6 months as the building was closed for repairs, so I'd better go. I get to show off my baby!

Hope everyone is well today.

thisisRialifebaby · 16/01/2008 10:20

Hi everyone.

to trace.

Enjoy showing off LO foxy. Enjoy your groups everyone else. Baby clinic for us in a few minutes, might get to find out the fall-out from music tots on Monday and if it will still be on next week or if the "old dears" have put a stop to it, ahh, village life!

Hi BZ.

I finished reading my book last night. Tough choice - book or Mnet ('tis research into how bad you can be at writing to be successful IYSWIM. It was actually very good, perhaps I need to step my research down a level)

Back later as bored and fat.

HellHathNoFury · 16/01/2008 10:25

Hi Foxy, Ria!

Foxy you are quite right not, stating the obvious. He has been pretty good and well for a couple of days, and we were thinking about doing it slowly - at the moment he is absolutely ravenous and I presume he is for a reason so not about to starve him just yet ;-)
But very SOON!!!

We aren't going to cut it out completely, we were thinking something like 3 days with one scoop less, 3 days with 2 scoops less and so on.

Morning all, hurrah for a good nights sleep Jammy. I want to start dropping the night feeds but at the moment it seems like the only way to get LO back to bed. He is normally so tired by the last feed at 6:30/7pm that he doesn't take much (I'm breastfeeding) so perhaps thats the problem.

Enjoy baby groups everyone. I'm going back to mine this week too. Not been for a few weeks as LO had a cold and they were closed for xmas.

Trace - hope your LO gave you a nice cuddle last night and you are feeling stronger today.

Well, its a brighter day here so I'm off out for a walk and to the shops. Stuck in all day yesterday drove me mad. Have a good day everyone!

thisisRialifebaby · 16/01/2008 11:18

baggins is 17lb3oz this week. HV appalled that he is waking 3/4+ times in the night (and that's only what I told her!) so has suggested a little bit of cereal before bed, so you might be right jammy.

I will be trying it and will keep you posted

Raining and miserable again here.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 11:32

Well, C just had her first bit of messy play at the baby group We didn't get very messy though as I only let her have a little go. She played with the cooked spaghetti for a few minutes until she decided she just wanted to eat it, then had a little dabble with the cornflour and water paste (tastefully coloured green with some food colouring). They found her a diddy little apron to put on (it's mainly the toddlers that do the messy play so they had to hunt a baby apron out specially) and she looked so cute. I wish I'd had my camera with me.

Ah, I can hear her waking up (the excitement wore her out and she slept on the way home) so better go...
