Hey foxy, I need a new name too, I'm not very good with name creation!

Is everyone well?

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 24/01/2008 13:55

I'm sorry but I really just don't like the implication that if you go on a holiday that has childcare it is because you sit around drinking and you don't like your children

anyway I am obviously reading more into it than anyone else
see you later

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 13:55

not really. I look like an extra from Thriller. My eyes hurt.

how are you?

Andie please don't be upset with MHC, I'm sure she didn't mean to upset you, she was just generalising. MHC is quite unique as she home eds - I don't think I like DD enough to do that ! Anyway, you've just chosen to be a SAHM, no-one one would imply that you didn't like your DC's enough, and none of us begrudges anyone a break.

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 13:59

Oh dear fury, have you got drops? Hope it gets better soon.

Andie, I don't think mhc meant that you sit around getting drunk which your dcs are at kids' club, but that some people do. I think she just meant it wasn't for her. Each to their own and all that!

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 24/01/2008 13:59

Fury, hope you feel better soon. You are going to need this holiday!

DD is going through a delightful screeching phase. I I think one of my neighbours might call SS soon!

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 14:01

Bumper, I keep thinking my neighbours are going to call ss soon too. All you can hear in my house atm is THUD (ds falling over) then ARRRRGGGHHHH (ds screaming after falling over)!

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 14:01

I have typed about 3 more responses for Andie as I know MHC meant no harm and was generalising but I have deleted them all as they sounded wrong. Bumper and Holly did just fine!!

SputnikEnRegalia · 24/01/2008 14:02

Andie I really don't think she meant to offend, please don't get upset.

Hey Bumper (changing the subject), I see you had a post deleted, what did you do? (was it incitement to violence?

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 14:03

Hey Holly
yes the GP gave me drops but that's why my eyes hurt - they dry up the infection but a side effect of that is they dry up my eyes! I feel like I have been walking facing the wind for 4 hours!!

DS thinks he is in the movie 300. He is sparta shouting with one arm in the air ALL THE TIME.
It's so loud the tv never goes on any more. No point.

LO had her first rusk today. She's her mother's daughter when it comes to biscuits - had her first tantrum when she dropped it. Those Organix soft rusks are great (especially with cheese )

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 14:06

Fury that sounds awful! You poor thing!

foxythesnowman · 24/01/2008 14:06

Bumper! Am surprised at you getting a post deleted! Go on, spill!

SputnikEnRegalia · 24/01/2008 14:06

I've never used childcare on holiday, at a certain point they will zzz out in the pushchair for the evening, then you can get drunk

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 14:07

I've had those rusks foxy, ds loves them. Unfortunately so does dd so there are none left. She is a little piggy!

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 14:08

PMSL sputnik!

foxythesnowman · 24/01/2008 14:09

Just for the record ...

if I went on holiday with childcare, I probably would go and get a bit tipsy. Not every day, and not legless, but once.

Maybe twice.

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 14:12

lol @ you bunch of pissheads

I don't really drink... but it's fair to say on holiday I might have a pina colada or 4 if someone else was looking after DS.

Did anyone see me on holiday showdown??
(kidding!!! )

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 14:13

foxythesnowman · 24/01/2008 14:17

hic!

I'm going to make Nigella's marguerita ice cream tonight mmmmmmm

And I'm cooking beef bourginoun [sp]. More wine.

And an Ameretti cake with Ameretto after the ice cream.

No, I don't really drink either.

CalicoHollyFlint · 24/01/2008 14:19

Well foxy...that is ok because you are not drinking you are eating! It doesn't count!

HellHathNoFury · 24/01/2008 14:21

there is no alcohol content if you have it with food, they cancel each other out

like, chocolate is good for you and counts as one of your 5 a day. cos it's brown, and brown is a colour commonly occuring in nature, so chocolate is natural and thus good for you.
