has everyone gone?

ah well, back to DSs PS2!!

thisisRialifebaby · 22/01/2008 14:51

Hi daisy, good to have you back and glad it went ok. You sound like you are coping well. I wouldn't worry too much guilt-wise about wanting to get back to normal, I'm sure your mum would have understood that.

it sure is a bugger when you have to give up drink because you're poor - I was even considering getting a job to keep us in wine

DSs xmas prezzies are fab! I got my bain age down to 29 the other night on the DS lite. Yippeeeee

See ya later

thisisRialifebaby · 22/01/2008 14:53

brain age, obviously!

good luck for your diet tomorrow daisy, no doubt I may have fallen off again by then (but I am trying hard this time...)

I really want a ds so I can do brain training

dh and i are off out tonight our reorganisation following thursdays disaster dh is off to madrid tomorrow so home alone again

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 19:21

Evening everyone ...welcome back Daisy

Glad things went ok - it is odd isn't it all this catching up that is done at funerals...I done that at my dad's....

justbeme · 22/01/2008 20:29

Evening
Glad to have you back Daisy - hope you're feeling ok.
Ria, my brain age was 80 on friday but I managed to get it down to 56 - so you're super cool! (Mind you, I hate the way that the DS doesnt recognise me speaking and also my handwriting, so I think that Really my brain age would be younger if it blardy well worked properly!)

Not much movement here either (thank God!) - L has still only rolled once in a blue moon from tummy to back. She can sit up for a few mins by herself though.

Hope every one else is feeling abit better tonight.

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 20:32

Blimey, my brain is going ....I was just sitting there thinking "I didn't know JBM had a son, I thought she had 2 DDs"

God, someone shoot me

SputnikEnRegalia · 22/01/2008 20:32

Nice to have you back Daisy. You have had a tough few months and deserve to get back to normality, do take care of yourself.

We are keeping off the wine during the week too, we can all be sober together! Gone 3 weeks so far and it's actually easier than I'd thought.

justbeme · 22/01/2008 20:33

Lol!! Norty!
How are you? I see you're enjoying being back at work.
Did you make the swings yet?

justbeme · 22/01/2008 20:36

Hi Sputnik!
God I can hear my "MIL's" whistley nose from the living room and Im about 35ft away!! ahhhhhhhhh!

I too have been good and keeping off alcohol in the week - I think before Xmas, we were drinking about 5nights a week. I like apple juice/cranberry juice instead.
(dont get me wrong I still like red/Rose/white wine/cider etc!!)

thisisRialifebaby · 22/01/2008 20:37

I don't like talking to the DS jbm, it makes me feel a pillock, so I do the "can't talk" tests, it mostly recognises my writing. My mum got really het up with it, she wants one now. It's got to be one of the best presents we've ever given DS1.

hope you enjoy your night out andiem.

I'm bored tonight...

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 20:37

We're fine - at work tomorrow but if weather is good on Thursday, I may take her then. We have a little playground about 5 mins walk away, so there's no excuse...

My DD isn't moving yet either. Sits brilliantly and reaches forward...throws herself backwards when tired (assuming a soft landing of course) but no crawling...I'm not actively encouraging either....won't get anything done!

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 20:39

Well, think a DS may be on the cards for my 40th then ....the plug in type that is....although I could be persuaded to do the other type (Is anyone else broody or is it just me?)

thisisRialifebaby · 22/01/2008 20:43

I am disgustingly broody

so is DH...

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 20:45

My DH ISN'T....but we have talked about it...

justbeme · 22/01/2008 20:52

I dont know if Im broody, but Im knocking 40 too this yr and dont want DD2 to be an only child like DD1 was IYKWIM.
DP isnt keen though - but I also wonder if I could cope with 2 little ones....
Mind you DD1 said it would "disgusting" if we had another baby as when that baby would be 13 - DP would be 60!!!!

SputnikEnRegalia · 22/01/2008 20:53

And I thought the same about Andie's post, was wondering well why not with a dd? Norty, you are not alone.

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 20:54

Teenagers eh ...

money is our issue....£1000 per month for nursery and I can't go less days than I already do....

Right, off to watch mistresses with ice-cream

Night all x

milkyJammy · 22/01/2008 20:54

Hooorah!!!!!!!!!!! Finally the internet is working after not working all day

Good to see you back Daisy. Glad things are OK and yes I think it's normal that you want to get back to normal.

Had a nice day with C today. She was playing with Sunday's newspaper and I made us pirate hats. She looked very cute in hers (will put photo on FB soon). She's been rolling without a nappy for a few days now, and today she managed it with her big nappy on. She's trying to crawl, but not managing it, though is getting very frustrated about not being able to.

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 20:55

What does DS stand for anyway (as in Nintendo)...

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 20:56

Was wondering where you had been Jammy? Glad its working again

Right definitely off now...night x

thisisRialifebaby · 22/01/2008 20:57

don't know norty. PS is playstation?

good to see you jammy.

thisisRialifebaby · 22/01/2008 20:58

nite norty

milkyJammy · 22/01/2008 21:05

Night Norty. DS stands for dual screen apparently. I am going to get one soon (sorry Bumper!) I hope. I couldn't get one before Xmas when I decided I wanted one, but DH got me a game for it for Xmas in readiness for me getting one asap.
