BTW I was lurking over the weekend and I'm sorry for all of you who've been poorly/had poorly DCs.

Am also V jealous of DC-free wine drinking FF, and I would probably have stayed up til 3am too! Did your DH cope admirably or was he a bit of a martyr when you got home?

SputnikEnRegalia · 22/01/2008 09:36

I'm Black Anne Kidd too

SputnikEnRegalia · 22/01/2008 09:40

Baby Sputnik is Dread Pirate Rackham

Surely I have something better to do?

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 11:13

Morning all

Does everyone lurk now then? It's gone very quiet on here recently....I really should be working

thisisRialifebaby · 22/01/2008 11:26

Hi Norty, how are you? Tis very quiet. I am meant to be ironing (now I've got DH to fix the ironing board and chances are it won't collapse on me).

Will have to go and collect DS2 from nursery soon, if walking...

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/01/2008 12:06

Hey everyone - heading home! In Singapore airport now - long night's travelling ahead of us. Hope all's well, no chance to catch up of late.

Morning all!

PMSL at the Tasmanian devil child! My ds is like that. Yesterday he did a poo and as I was sorting out his nappy I noticed funny lumps in it. On closer inspection these turned out to be fully intact Peppa Pig stickers from dd's magazine! There was about 10 in there. From now on I shall hoover the living room repeatedly and ban stickers!

He falls over all the time as he seems to think that he can walk without holding on! Silly boy!

Dd is acting up as well because all my attention seems to be on ds. This morning she helped herself to cereal, which is fine, except it was Ready Brek with no milk. The sawdust like flakes were all over the house as she had taken it to her bedroom.

I haven't even had a chance to get dressed yet!

Tallulah, hope your journey home is ok, bet you are looking forward to your home comforts!

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2008 12:56

hello chappettes

I am going back to work tomorrow. My eye is now even worse than in my FB photos.

I think I am going to have to wear sunglasses or I will make children cry.
I look like an extra from 'Thriller'.

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 12:56

LOL at the stickers Holly!

God, I'm at work today and have just enjoyed a nice peaceful lunch...

DD decided that she would play with her cot activity thing this morning.....and I woke up at 3.35am to it saying .....and a cow goes MOOOOO.....and her laughing that's it, the night-light is being turned off for good now! As soon as she had nothing to look at, she went back to sleep....so I'm knackered now! Wonder if she's giving them hell at nursery cos she's tired? Oh no I forgot, when you're a baby you sleep, eat and play all the time

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2008 12:58

Oh poor you fury....but have to admit to PMSL over Thriller

Tallualh - have a good journey....or more importantly, hope DD does

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 22/01/2008 13:21

thanks for all the lovely cards, fb messages and texts I've had from you guys over the last couple of weeks. This place rocks it really does

what's been happening then?

FairyFay · 22/01/2008 14:06

Helloooo everyone. We are at my parents, Ds is asleep and my Mum has DD in the garden for 20 mins, so some DC-free surfing which is bliss - DD is very interested int eh 'pooter since I showed her the Spot The Dog page - big mistake!

Andiem, why don't we meet just inside John Lewis (the bit by the escalators down to Waitrose) and then see what we fancy? Does about 12:00 suit you, or later?

FairyFay · 22/01/2008 14:08

Hi Daisy, nice to see you, are you back home?

I found pieces of red cardboard in DS' nappy where he had clearly eaten some of one of DD's play-food packets. These poor second babies

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 22/01/2008 14:09

see you there fairy 12 is fine for me

welcome back daisy hope the funeral was ok sputnik and i are just discussing eating italian baby biscuits not good for the diet

FairyFay · 22/01/2008 14:10

Excellent Andiem, see you tomorrow. Right must be off and do something productive-ish.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 22/01/2008 14:11

me too back later

LardyMardyDaisy · 22/01/2008 14:16

got home yesterday; now supposed to be sorting out my bombsite of a house, but babyboo being very demanding.

LOL at the italian baby biscuits; i like organix apple and cinnamon rice cakes!

starting my diet tomorrow, although i've been eating ok the last few days. the red wine is the problem with me but now that we are officially poor i need to economise.

funeral went ok. the service was really good and after the usual tea and sarnies at a local hotel we had a big party at my sister's house. Caught up with lots of rellies I hadn't seen for years and some old school friends as well who came to pay their respects. Still seems weird that she is gone though and I'm feeling guilty about wanting to get bsack to normal and looking forward to some time at home (although we are back up on the weekend of 10th feb to scatter her ashes beside my dad's)
