OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Well after having a bit of a "shock cry" we are both fine.

Think we all deserve some sympathy so am passing over to you all virtual wine and chocolate.

Right best be off to put DS to bed.

Night.

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:16

Elsbels, that's horrendous . I'm not surprised that you are still shaken.

I was once knocked down on a zebra crossing, and the idiot said that he didn't see me because he had the sun in his eyes. I sued him, and he told his insurance company that he hadn't hit me at all, but I'd slipped and he'd stopped to help. Unfortunately there are some complete prats on the road

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:17

blimey how scary. Night Bumper and Els

Man City on TV again tonight so guess where I am (also chatting to students)

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:20

Jammy, I'm xure you'll enjoy it once you get back into it. Tbh, I'm even considering going back, and I never thought I'd say that

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:21

xure? Maybe I should improve my proof-reading if I'm considering persuading someone to employ me?

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:21

Good god Fairy, you'd slipped and he stopped to help

We had a statement once from a tosser that hit us saying that I couldn't have been injured in the passenger seat cos I was driving and not my DH and I was on my own ....he done a hit and run thing and we got his number plate and I was in court to see him get done for careless driving and 10 points

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:22

Fairy, did he realise he was fighting a solicitor?

foxythesnowman · 16/01/2008 20:22

OMG Els, that is scary - hope you are OK (a large glass of wine may be in order).

Oh Bumper! That really was the last thing you needed

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:23

Tbh, he should have known better than to try and outwit me - I'm a lawyer ffs (and he knew that pretty quickly!), I wasn't likely to just let him get away with it

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:24

x post....if a patient is a solicitor it is always noted

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:26

I'm not surprised Norty, we are a litigious lot as a rule

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:30

Bit like a GP always notes my job, and doesn't try to fob me off

If someone had the gall to tell me I'd slipped over and he helped me, I'd take him to the cleaners.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 20:33

And my dentist has on my notes that I work "in" radiation, so doesn't try to give me too many xrays

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 20:34

That's not to say that a dental xray is dangerous I hasten to add

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:35

Jammy

Letters about patients always seems to read

Dear so and so, thank-you for referring this charming 56 year old solicitor / journalist etc to me......very subtle

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:36

lol Jammy, now I have an image of you dressed top-to-toe in one of those huge white radiation suits , plodding around and using those funny gloves to handle sticks of radioactive matter. I think my imagination may be on overdrive tonight.

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:37

No but she knows you know more about it than she does, and doesn't want to make a prat of herself

Sods law tells me that when things go tits up, its always with just the ones you don't want it to IYKWIM

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 20:42

Unfortunately Faory my job is not that exciting. I sit at a PC all day reading or writing reports, or doing calculations, or occasionally a spot of programming. Oh and we have meetings. But not with biscuits unless we have external visitors.

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 20:43

Faory? I meant Fairy, obviously

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:44
LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:45

No lab work Jammy?

milkyJammy · 16/01/2008 20:48

Not for me. Some of my colleagues do though.

FattyFairyFay · 16/01/2008 20:50

btw, Jammy I keep meaning to ask how you are getting on with your ADs?

LittleMissNorty · 16/01/2008 20:50

I do very little these days.....paperwork, red tape etc

Did you feed C her fromage frais again before bed tonight?

thisisRialifebaby · 16/01/2008 20:58

Hi all. Sorry for your days bumper and Els. Hope you get a bit of pampering at home and feel better tomorrow.

Baggins woke up and had his tea (1/2 jar mango & banana surprise) but no extra BF/FF. He had his supper earlier of a bit of plain baby rice and about 21/2oz FF, plus he's had BF too (little porker, just like mummy) and he's still awake!

Very interesting how you get treated differently with a "profession" - I wonder if that's why I get treated like a doormat?
