I have finally appeased the Inland Revenue and finished my tax return - apparently I owe £2.90, obviously a high earning year So now I'm back!
Hopefully I've caught up - sorry to hear about the hospital stay Twinkle but good advice on here as usual, especially Londoner's about doing what you would tell someone else to do. Also like someone's bit about looking after OUR twins You have too many online sisters/aunties who will jump on you if you don't do as you are told!!!
GG - well done with the sale, hope all the rest of it goes smoothly. I agree with the others, you are handling the whole horrible situation with such strength and determination. Don't forget that we are here if it all gets a bit much as well.
ChaCha - hope you are feeling a bit better. That sister/auntie bit goes for you too!
Londoner - I'm with you on the nappies front. I have no intention of doing anything about potty training until the summer unless A begs me. T let us know when she was ready and it was a breeze, not necessarily expecting it to be as easy this time but I'm not going to concern myself with it until he's ready. Something I read ages ago might help those feeling a bit pressured by others - "Trained at 2, dry at 3; trained at 3, dry at 3"
A also still has a bottle before bed and if he has a nap. With T we waited until she was old enough to ask if she wanted a 'big girl's cup', when she said yes we went with it.
Our bed/cot situation is about to change as we are currently decorating T's room (at last her room will be how she wants it and not how the spare room used to be ) As part of this T is getting a cabin bed and A will get her cotbed. He has been practising with it as T is in his room at the moment and we keep finding them in bed together! Its very, very sweet as T is usually telling him stories
Having a bit of a yellow day today!! Have finished touching up the paint in T's room (yellow is her favourite colour so of course the walls are yellow) and have untied 11 yellow tie-dye t-shirts. I rashly decided to make the birthday presents for all of T's friends this year (well those in our 'group') so T could be involved. To my horror that totalled 16 children with birthdays in the next 3 months . Add a few extra for T and A and that's a lot of tieing/dying/untieing. I was doubly rash when I decided to have 2 colours per t-shirt!!! There may be ranting on here as I go, not so quietly, insane
A. currently out so I could get painting/tax return done and kitten at vet's being 'done'. Really, really strange not having anyone to interrupt/demand attention. I keep looking round for one of them. Going to sit and read for a while before the madness returns
Love to all not mentioned by name.
