just looked it up, would you believe i need to wait for bread to go stale??
will just nip to local shop, they have plenty

Eddas · 04/01/2008 15:21

pmsl! i think it's hard to make nonstale bread into crumbs, tends to go clumpy. not that i've ever tried

As long as your radiators aren't burning hot then it should be ok. Don't think they're interesting enough to stop for

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 15:28

you could lightly toast the bread first - and if your radiators are hot enough for T to burn himself on then they are a danger to you as well - but then I don't have radiators so am just jealous....

oooggs · 04/01/2008 15:47

runny - well done on your decision

ellie - fantastic about your new working and childcare arrangements. I need to change in September the nursery days & start & finish time (flexi so no probs there) but I feel like I must return from mat. leave before I can start changing things about

Katy - want to borrow my cage?????? after eddas of course

nl - what heats your house?

dh home early and has taken dcs out in the rain for a walk, waiting for nurse to ring as loosing alot of blood, pad every 30 mins & toilet every 10 mins as I feel the clots coming.

Twins club was fine and house back to normal and blood out of carpet thanks to vanish (& sol)

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 16:19

Oh Oooggs - I dont like the sound of that bleeding - I know you don't want to do this but I think it's time to see somebody - has the nurse rung back?

Re my heating - my fiery spirit of course

oh - and a gas fire in the front room, a couple of gas heaters in the bathroom and main bedroom and a couple of electric convector heaters when it's chilly. We're very hardy and it is double glazed

Lucewits · 04/01/2008 16:27

oooggs xx

GMM I use my travel cot as a play pen. As you well know I need my cups of tea

Katy, you can make bread crumbs with fresh bread (not as good obv) by either sticking it in the food processor or grating it.

Runny, what a PITA about your job. That sounds awful for you.

I am really looking forward to going back to work one day. Cant right now as child care for 4 would cost us an arm a leg and probably the house

Roll on monday because I am feeling henpecked.

geordiemacminxpie · 04/01/2008 16:42

oooggs have you spoken to the nurse yet?

Lucewits · 04/01/2008 16:43
Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 16:49

Hi folks

Oooggs, glad you got the blood out - good old Vanish eh!!

Runny, delighted you have made a decision and good luck with the job hunting. Let me know if you need any help with anything.

SPB, you sound harassed! Hope you can contain T somehow. I am so lucky that K isn't going anywhere really.

Luce, are you all recovered????

Eddas, how is your dd now? Still a pita??

Hi NL, you hearty lass!!

All great here. Cooking some casseroles for K. Dh has been working from home today but has been so unbusy that I am taking advantage of him for childcare! K currently chewing B's foot- eughhhh!!

Hope everyone is ok. Runny, please send my love to MJ if you are in touch with her. xx

Lucewits · 04/01/2008 17:01

Feeling much better thanks SOL

Very of your casseroles

StealthPolarBear · 04/01/2008 17:04

No, not harrassed, just wingeing
oooggs, hope you are getting the bleeding checked out!
Thanks for the offer of the cage oooggs, unfortunately I have one, is fine for a few mins but then he climbs up and stands there crying as though his heart is breaking
Impressed at casseroles SOL! I have made turkey twizzler things was my first venture into real cooking for T, doing some more soon, with breadcrumbs appartently!
well, baby stinky again!! does this happen when they go onto solids? does it calm down?

Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 17:20

Dead lazy way of doing casserole. Pre packed casserole vegetables, vegetable stock, and chicken and lamb fried with onions and all bunged in the oven for an hour or so. K loves it!

She has been growling like a tiger today - v funny!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/01/2008 17:36

hi all, home now

(thankfully, I love my relatives for driving me around, but it is rather frustrating being driven by oaps )
off out tonight, gonna make the most of having no car and have a couple of drinks, no more though cos I'll be driving tomorrow - YAY

(can you tell I'm excited??!)

POC - what time do you want to meet tomorrow??

oooggs - xxx that bleeding sounds baaaad.

IDOC - T is a porker had hime weighed yesterday and he's 22lb 12. Any higher bids or have I got the big baby of the thread!!??!!

right off to milk-up the boy before bed.

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 18:29

wow impressed by T's weight - he and B are definately built on different scales!

runnyhabbit · 04/01/2008 18:35

Evening all

Well, got a second opinion on W "alleged" chickenpox. The GP we saw tonight thinks its a viral rash (whats left of it) Will still be a bit cautious until the last few spots have cleared though.

Right, who fancys helping me write my resignation letter..

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 18:36

oooh Runny - lets see your draft then!

runnyhabbit · 04/01/2008 18:41

Dear arsehole Boss

I am resigning because -

a)you haven't paid my full wage
b)you did not tell me I wouldn't get paid my full wage
c)you don't tell me whats going out
d)have made me feel like I don't matter to the company
e)I hate the travelling
f)I am fed up with covering for you when contractors ring up, and taking the flack off them
g)I would rather watch repeats of Thomas the Tank engine than be in work
h)ALL OF THE ABOVE

Yours

Runnyhabbit

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 18:46

Dear Boss

I am writing to tender my resignation from x position. It is with some regret that I do this but I feel it is time for me to look for new challenges.
May I wish x company all the best for the future.

yours etc etc

but yours is better

runnyhabbit · 04/01/2008 18:48

I know I'll have to give him the sensible resignation letter, but wouldn't it be fab to tell them what you really think

CaptainDyson · 04/01/2008 19:00

I liked yours, runny - @ signing it "runnyhabbit"

runnyhabbit · 04/01/2008 19:02

This is my proper letter -

"Dear Boss

After much thought and consideration I have decided to resign from my post as Office Administrator.

I hope you understand that this decision has not been an easy one.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the future.

Yours Sincerely,

Mrs Runnyhabbit"

runnyhabbit · 04/01/2008 19:04
