You have mail

WestCountryLass · 06/01/2008 20:48

What is a menu planner?

Don't you just write:

Mon - Spag bol
Tues - Stir fry

etc etc?

Eddas · 06/01/2008 20:48

MJ, hope you feel brighter soon

Eddas · 06/01/2008 20:49

WCl when I read it i'll let you know

I saw the thread and was intrigued so asked for the email too, but obviously not THAT intrigued since it was a while ago and I am yet to read it

WestCountryLass · 06/01/2008 20:50

And I try to do 1 red meat, 1 white meat, 2 fish, 1 egg/dairy, 1 dairy and 1 convenience based meal every week.

oooggs · 06/01/2008 20:50

thank eddas you are a star

wcl - its about ideas for me and just seeing how someone else has done it

NorthernLurker · 06/01/2008 20:54

wcl - you're so good!
I 'menu plan' you know - basically at 18.30 each day I think 'what have we got that needs to be eaten before it leaves the fridge of it's own accord?' 18.35 - 'what do we have that would go with that without creating weird new fusion food dish?'

18.40 - reach for takeaway menu - and plan

Eddas · 06/01/2008 20:57

pmsl, that sounds like me NL

I need to plan now though as i'm at work 3 afternoons so ideally I want to make use of our slow cooker. I have on my watched threads a load of one-pot recipe threads and I WILL be printing them off tomorrow(at work) and highlighting some recipes that I like the look of. Then i'll do an online shop and aim to start my recipe planning next week. I'll just use the usual method this week

StealthPolarBear · 06/01/2008 21:05

hi everyone

Eddas · 06/01/2008 21:05

couple of questions for you all

I got a new pushchair on friday, not had a chance to use it yet. Is it weird that i don't wnat SIL to use it beofre I do so I'm not taking it to hers this week?

Also, do any of you use a footmuff/buggysnuggle or similar and if you do what do you use, is it worth the money? I want one for ds but having seen the buggysnuggles am thinking they look pretty cute so may get one of those rather than a normal footmuff like the ones i've had before! OR the other idea is to make my own, which I saw suggested on a wanted thread a while back. Can't be too tricky, but would it look crap?!

Thanks

Eddas · 06/01/2008 21:30

have i scared you all off you don't have to answer my daft questions

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/01/2008 21:34

oooggs, hope you are seeing someone tomorrow about the bleeding
KHIN, glad you have the antibiotics sorted
mammyjo, sorry I feel as though I can't help or say anything useful but fingers crossed that you feel better in a couple of weeks. You sound really down on yourself at the moment
hi Eddas
No not weird, I can be a bit like that!
Foot muffs - I use one on my M&P Pliko thing (not that I have more than one you understand )
It's very odd. GMM, do you have it, as I think we have the same pushchair? He looks lovely and cosy though in it.
Hi everyone else.
Right, off for another early night as it seems when I go to bed early he sleeps well.
Well off to see DH for another bit then to bed. After a quick lurk on active conversations.

cazboldy · 06/01/2008 21:42

did you have a good time potc?

eddas - i have a footmuff thingy, well actually i have 2 - one for the farm, and one for everywhere else - mostly because molly ends up sitting around for ages in the freezing cold while i muck out or feed calves etc. i reckon one would be fairly easy to make........

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/01/2008 21:44

Eddas - I have a cow print buggy snuggle that I picked up cheap as the zip needs stitching back on. I also have a plain navy one from mothercare. no difference as far as I can see, except the buggy snuggles cost much more!

I plan to fix the cow print one and sell it on

My last pushchair had a coseytoes with it, I prefer the mothercare one as the zip goes all the way round, not just half way.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/01/2008 21:48

I also made one for M
actually, I made him more of a pushchair blanket, thick blanket slightly wider and longer than pushchair, gathered stitch at the bottom and loosly at the top, ribbons tied to each corner to fix to pushchair. worked really well and removed the need for making the holes for straps

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/01/2008 21:50

we did caz, was very annoyed though, we met JARM and passed things over, then decided to go on to nans in Lowestoft, coming back right past you but I had no way of contacting you . Am emailing you my number now!

Hi all

NL, pmsl at your meal planning! Delighted B liked her beef stew

Eddas we have a maclaren cosytoe thing which is great. K just kicks off blankets but obv can't with the cosytoe. Btw, I totally understand about not wanting someone else to use something before you have used it yourself. I am a bit like that with magazines!!

POTC, how's the new car?

Hi SPB, enjoy your early night

New thread?????

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/01/2008 21:53

I NEED TITLE IDEAS PEOPLE!

car is fab thanks SOL, a bit hevier than I'm used to, but that's a good thing, less likely to over-balance

I think Buggysnuggles are excellent and definitely worth the money, Eddas - I've got a cute pink one with a flower on it for our Phil 'n' Teds - would go for it! ... and no, I don't think you are weird for not wanting sis to use new pushchair 1st - I'd be the same!! xx

Go & see Dr, Oooggs, just be sure. xx

Hope everyone else has had good day's - I am off to bed cos I am shattered, lovely to see friends though - had a super time & the girls were all lovely!

Eddas · 06/01/2008 21:53

nice to know i'm not going mad, thanks for all the comments hadn't scared you all off then

Think i'm going to see how much the right material is first then weigh up the options. Not much point making one if it'll cost more than buying one

cazboldy · 06/01/2008 21:53

well if you went along the A143, you were about 2 miles from us!!

CaptainDyson · 06/01/2008 21:54

Think thread title should definitely contain something about Dysons!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/01/2008 21:56

I did

ARSE!
