Morning and thanks CD. Have a lovely day

CaptainDyson · 06/01/2008 09:42

Hi MJ! ... and you too - having two DC's is tough, and with this on top - You are Super Woman! xxxx

mammyjo · 06/01/2008 09:45

of your lie in SOL! Dh has worked all over the weekend, so the children have been left to me. Typcial crap timing as he normally gets weekends off. He will be home by about 1.30pm today though and we are off to toys r us
Ds got a pop up pirate game for Christmas from my aunt, but he already has one. I recycled it as a present for the little boy who had the party yesterday, but have promised ds I will get him something else instead.

mammyjo · 06/01/2008 09:46

Super Woman I am definitely not!!

Sexonlegs · 06/01/2008 10:44

We are all women, and all women are super!!!

Never forget it. xx

elkiedee · 06/01/2008 11:52

Sorry mj that you're feeling so down.

CD, your plans for the day sound nice. When I was in Ilkley I met up with someone I haven't seen for 14 years - she has quite an unusual name and is on Facebook so I found her easily once I looked. She has 2 kids but they're now 8 and 10 and were away visiting their dad's parents (her ex-partner).

Today we're meeting my dad in a cafe mid afternoon so will get out for a bit of a walk.

cazboldy · 06/01/2008 12:40

Elkiedee - it's usually not a problem, they are usually all ok whenever we are out, but they have been little sods a bit hyper lately and molly is just under the weather. the hardest bit is fitting it all in the car to get it home. I normally do a huge on line shop about once a month, but I aleays have to go to the supermarket at least twice and pop in at the local shop on the way home nearly every day for milk, eggs etc.... the joys of my life!!

oooggs · 06/01/2008 14:38

meal last night good but children had a bad night do I was up alot. Everytime I cough I pass a blood clot - looks like liver not very attractive

Kneehighinnappies · 06/01/2008 16:14

Hello all, I ended up having to wait till 11.20pm last night for the out of hour doctors and when I got there was there for about 20 seconds and was told I have a kidney infection and need some antibiotics............ well DDDEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I could have told them that.

At least I can wee without so much pains now, I am just trying to remember what it is like to feel healthy or to have healthy children

cazboldy · 06/01/2008 17:02

oh dear oooggs and KHIN things can only get better hey!

oooggs has anyone given you any idea how long the bleeding will go on for?

also - shoot me if you want to - but i know a lady that was having twins and only lost one of them...... as you already have twins, is this a possibility?? take care xx

Kneehighinnappies · 06/01/2008 17:25

Ok have been having a very very very thick moment, ooops didn't realise what that email pillock sent was about as I missed the whole NGT thing, but have been doing a bit of reading from the old threads and this one, think I am up to speed now

ooooggs my love I really hope you are ok, sounds like you have been havinga very tough time of it, sorry I am so crap, I just seem to come on here and moan all the time I should try and make more time for catching up with what is going on.

NorthernLurker · 06/01/2008 18:00

Hi all

just popping in before doing girl tea things. We've had a pretty good day - church this am then lumch in a pub with some friends who were up visiting York. Lunch rather mediocre but it ws nice to see them. Nagged everyone into helping me take the Christmas decs down so that was relatively painless as well

Maveta - I am very curious as to what your dh had done to the jug to have it explode?

Mammyjo - B as nearly as anything fell off the bed this morning - I just caught her So sorry about the blackness - may I pray for it to lift soon?

KHIN - poor you - good to hear that you are getting some anti-biotics though - hoping you are well again soon.

Oooggs - I echo whoever asked how long bleeding should last - is it a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question though?

Right better go wrestle scotch pancakes etc - B has stew though - will report back on what she thinks - oh and porridge of course

Sexonlegs · 06/01/2008 18:25

Hi all

Hope all is well. We need a new thread... someone.....

NL, how annoying about your lunch being rubbish. I hate that when you psyche yourself up for a yummy lunch and it is pants. We had a lovely pub lunch I have to say!

KHIN, really glad you got some ab's and I hope they start working soon.

Elkie, hope you enjoyed your afternoon with your dad.

All ok here. B is being a pita - just not listening to a word we say/ask. Driving me nuts. Thank God it is school tomorrow.

Right, need to start bath time for the girlie, so see you later. x

Octo · 06/01/2008 18:59

HI all

Oooggs - it sounds like you have an infection - you should go back to your doctors or straight to A&E would be better to have a scan and check your uterus. It sounds hideous but they may do a D and C to remove any remnants but it should sort out the bleeding and clots. You poor thing - really feel for you - but you really need to get someone to see you very soon xxxxxxxxxxxx

Mammyjo - hope you are feeling better soon - falling off the bed is easy compared with letting your ds fall over onto a fence and give him a black eye - oooo the guilt

Need to read some more ...

Octo · 06/01/2008 19:00

Can't wait for school to go back tomorrow but do have dh off as he has had an op on his ankle - two more weeks at home ...

NorthernLurker · 06/01/2008 19:17

octo so glad you have said that oooggs about possible infection - oooggs - I had been thinking similar but didn't want to nag you again as I think I've done quite a bit of that - but anyway - I think Octo is right.

mammyjo · 06/01/2008 19:37

NL, please feel free to pray for me, I will accept any help and good wishes just now Am so angry at myself as the medication I was on is now very well documented as causing depression. It increases the risk several times over for those (like me) who have a history too. From what I can find, all those affected have recovered, but some have needed anti depressant therapy. and too.

Oooggs, echo what others have said about getting yourself seen. Is your dh around this week that he could have the children for a few hours?

Octo, I remember you writing about the black eye and thinking that you shouldnt feel guilty as it was an accident. Funny how we cant apply the same logic to ourselves isnt it

mammyjo · 06/01/2008 19:44

Elkie, hope you had a nice afternoon with your dad

KHIN, glad you got your antibiotics! Hope things settle down quickly for you

SOL, glad you had a good lunch today. Could do with a nice pub lunch myself!

NL, shame your lunch wasnt so good, but as least the company was enjoyable

Sexonlegs · 06/01/2008 19:49

Hi MJ. Hope you had a good afternoon with your dh back from work. xx

NorthernLurker · 06/01/2008 20:04

Ok MJ - will do. Don't be angry with yourself - you weren't to know - this risk should really have been picked up by whoever prescribed or advised you on this medication.

Yorkshire pudding with lunch was really nice - but we had to wait quite a long time - strange as the pub wasn't busy

Well B had her beef stew for tea tonight and scoffed the lot - so feel very pleased with that - and relieved as there is rather a lot in the freezer!

Girls in bed - just waiting to see if B settles - reasonably promising so far.....she has settled herself much quicker since we dropped the base of her cot - why on earth that would make a difference I can't think

Our stew in oven so must go peel potatoes....when i can be bothered to get up!

mammyjo · 06/01/2008 20:25

Enjoy your stew! I love beef stew, is on my menu planner for the coming week!

Dh being brilliant. For all the times I have moaned about him on here, he is being so caring and supportive of me.

mammyjo · 06/01/2008 20:26

Read that back and it doesnt really make sense, but I am sure you get the idea of what I am blethering on about.

NorthernLurker · 06/01/2008 20:33

peeled pots and in pan

yes I get the idea - and it's really, really good to know that you are being cherished as you deserve

oooggs · 06/01/2008 20:41

well done mj's dh x

does anyone have a menu planner they could forward to me please??????? There is a big thread on it at the moment.

Eddas · 06/01/2008 20:44

oooggs, I've got one that I asked someone from here to email to me. Am yet to read it though

Off to forward it
