Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh no - just realised - dd1's birthday is April 19th and she gave up bf on 22nd March my birthday - B's birthday is April 21st - so if she is at all like her sisters she cuold quit then too. - that would be hard to take!

tcmummy · 04/01/2008 20:20

Awww NL I've not gone through the whole giving up thing yet. I guess it can be quite emotional at times. xx

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 20:24

ask my dh - I sobbed and sobbed when dd1 wouldn't latch on. Of course now I realise it is totally typical of her to have made that decision for herself With dd2 it was ok - bit of a pang but ok - I suspect this time may really suck

that's not intended as a bfeeding pun by the way

tcmummy · 04/01/2008 20:28

at sobbing xx I can't remember if you've said or not is dd3 your last??? I think that will help me when I finish bf T, knowing that I'll have another sometime! My SIL gave up feeding her 1st child when she was pregnant with dd2. Although this kind of thinking just puts off the emotions

geordiemacminxpie · 04/01/2008 20:44

Its made me quite sad that C has stopped feeding, infact it was Christmas day that he had his last one . The only thing that has made it better is that he does seem happier in himself as he is sleeping better and we have a better routine now. Well apart from this afternoon.

I went up to him just after I posted... he was standing up in his cot sobbing. I felt so so guilty. Like such a bad mummy. Took him into the spare bed and cuddled him off to sleep - for an hour and a half . When he woke up all of his hair was fluffy, he looked so cute I could hav eaten him.

Ok so then whos here then? Dp is watching footie and I'm bored!!!

Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 20:44

Maveta, am gob smacked - that poor lady.

NL, wow what a great job you have done with bf'ing.

Evening Pesha.

Hi tcmummy. I suppose I am petite. I am 5'6" but only weigh 8 stone. I just don't put weight on, which I know will piss lots of people off! Everyone says it'll start piling on when I reaxh 40 - so 3 years and I'll be the size of a house????

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 20:50

The plan is for dd3 to be our last - and we are 'taking steps' to that effect - poor dh

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 20:50

Right - I have a headache and feel knackered so am going to bed - night all!

Oooggs - really hope you're ok

Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 20:55

Night NL. Hope your headache goes and you get a good nights' sleep. x

geordiemacminx · 04/01/2008 21:18

WHERE IS EVERYONE?????????????

{{{{{STAMPS FOOT AND LOOKS ROUND IMPAITENTLY}}}}}}

StealthPolarBear · 04/01/2008 21:22

Hi everyone
GMM lol at C's hair standing on end, we call that 'cot hair' in this house (one step up from 'moses basket hair' )
SOL last time T was weighed he was 16lb12, so he's probably still under 17lb. We are not small and I am not petite!
runny, lol at your dh
pesha, how are you feeling, i know yesterday you were worried you were coming down with something. I'm just going to pretend i didn't read that bit about n being 4 before you could take your eyes off him

tcmummy · 04/01/2008 21:23

Night NL - poor old dh!

Gmm - cuuuuuuute!! I love it when they wake up all snuggly and sleepy! at xmas day having his last bf, but well done. T seems to go through phases of looking like he's losing interest and then deciding milk is his most favourite thing ever! I'm expecting the losing interst phases to just keep lengthening until he gives it up.

SOL - okay now I am ! I am 5'6 and considerably heavier than 8 stone!!! I am going to start tacking it next week!

geordiemacminx · 04/01/2008 21:25

I'm starting diet on Monday too - I'm only 5"1 and should be petite - at the moment I look like an umpa lumpa

Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 21:25

Yeah, where are you all you buggers?? All gone and got lives for the new year!!!

Dh gone to the pub and I am watching shite telly!

I love K's hair after she has been asleep - it all goes a bit curly at the back.

Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 21:27

Pmsl at umpa lumpa! What a cute description.

tcmummy · 04/01/2008 21:31

Well I'm to busy for mnetting... need to eat up the xmas chocs before the diet starts! In fact I think I'm eating enough to last me the whole of 2008. Need to keep my strength up for the diet

StealthPolarBear · 04/01/2008 21:32

good plan tc!

StealthPolarBear · 04/01/2008 21:33

gmm have you deleted me on msn???
(If you have cos you decided i am a stalker after all, i'll understand!)

tcmummy · 04/01/2008 21:33
fpesha · 04/01/2008 21:35

Lol tcmummy - I'm doing exactly the same My diet starts tues when they go back to school and routine returns to normal!

SPB - is just a cold but quite sinusy with it.

N keeps coming downstairs - gonna be nightmare when they go back to school cos atm they're used to staying awake til gone 9 at night, despite us putting them to bed at 7

WestCountryLass · 04/01/2008 21:39

Ladies, you've got to celebrate with me, wine all round...

We have heating and hot water after a week without either, it has cost nearly £2K for a new boiler and the credit card had to pay but we are fully operational (thank god).

Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 21:42

Cheers WCL!!!! What a relief for you all. Sorry about the expense tho! Our plumber reckons we have about a year left in our boiler. Better start saving up for a new one. Think we will add it to the mortgage.
Enjoy the warmth!!

StealthPolarBear · 04/01/2008 21:51

A week
I knew you were boiler-less but assumed it was a day or two
You must be tough in the West Country!

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 21:55

thank you SPB for showing me the way..

urm, I just popped in to say hello, and read the earlier thread re unahppy things. I received a strange and sad email too. What a sad business.

How are all these lovely babies? Is anyone aching and creaking as much as me?

I'm back to work now, working/suffering a very young girl who thinks she is in charge, and has moved my desk and left me to sit in a pile of wires, over a loaded floor socket, and with no room to get out at all!

We have had chicken pox over Christmas, first dd and then dd.

Auntie Meemz

Sexonlegs · 04/01/2008 21:58

Hello Auntie, lovely to see you. Sorry about the chicken pox - what a pain.

Your work situation sounds pants. Can you request a move of desk?? Put in a grievance..

Right, am going to head to bed and enjoy it whilst dh is out!!!

See you lovely ladies tomorrow I expect/hope.xx
