Evening ladies

Oooggs hope you have spoken to the Nurse/seen someone, the bleeding sounds nasty.

Hooray to heating etc WCL.

Night SOL

Well done to all the chunky babies Izzy has only just got back up to the weight she was before Christmas.

She and Jake have both started on another lot of antibiotics each today for their ear infections. Poor little things. Jake is pretty deaf at the moment and I have to literally shout to get him to hear me

Hope everyone else ok.

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:05

night sol, it is lovely to be back.

I won't do much about the desk, I've sort of moved it a bit ( I was sorting a huge pile of wires, wrapped around my chair, as she sat filing her nails, without a care in the world). I'm temping and she is the only other person in the office. I'll probably be gone in a few weeks.

Hugs to OOgs, what a horrible time you are having. My heart truly goes out to you. I hope it helps you to share your thoughts.

Dh and I are having some special time, while we wait for the Tesco van to arrive, loaded with all sorts of yummies.

Rachel is crawling, and in full time nursery now.

Octo · 04/01/2008 22:06

Hello

Nothing to say really - hope everyone is okay

xxxx

AngeG · 04/01/2008 22:06

Good to hear from you Auntie Meemz. Sorry to hear about your work situation. Hope you can sort it out.

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:07

Hi Ange, I see you had your share of troubles too, i hope they are better soon, poor little things.

StealthPolarBear · 04/01/2008 22:08

Night everyone, off to fold washing, see DH for a bit then bed xx

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:09

spb - you are going to see dh for a bit?? well I hope you get a bit...

elkiedee · 04/01/2008 22:09

Nice to see you Auntie. What sort of company/organisation are you at? Sounds like an obvious health and safety thing - you could request a risk assessment as your workstation's been changed plus you've recently returned to work after being off for a while.

AngeG · 04/01/2008 22:09

Night SPB xx

Thanks Auntie Meemz

Hello Octo

elkiedee · 04/01/2008 22:11

Ah well, cross post, I hadn't realised you were temping. Hope your next assignment is better.

elkiedee · 04/01/2008 22:12

Night SPB, LOL at Auntie's hope that you get a bit....

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:13

btw dh is looking over my shoulder, so don't anyone say anything about norks!!
I recall when I was working, and pregnant, that I would read the posts about norks and norking, and have to go in the loo. I laughed so much, i cried. There were about 40 gusys in an open plan office, and me. Fat, over 40 and preggers!
Pesha told a funny story once about norking too.

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:15

you can talk about norks if you like, but it will get dh all hot and bothered, and he'll ask about it all night

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:16

elkie, I'm sure it will be. it is lovely working part time, I get to see the little ones, but miss my full time pay!

CaptainDyson · 04/01/2008 22:24

LOL Nice t have you back AM

Back from Book Group, now taking down the Christmas Tree and all the decs Sigh ...

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:25

nice to see you CD! Is it the 12th day of Christmas yet? should we take our decs down then?

AngeG · 04/01/2008 22:28

I took our decorations down today too it looks so bare without them

WestCountryLass · 04/01/2008 22:30

SPB, got back from hols Thurs and leccy not working, spent the Fri ringing round sparkies who told us was boiler, then we had weekend, New Years Eve and NYD and no one seemed to be working so boilerman came Wednesday, quoted yesterday and luckily he able to come today. Bloody nightmare!

Kids were washing in baby bath infront of oven with door open and switched on! We only used 2 rooms and all slept in onebedroom, was like the olden days!

AuntieMeemz · 04/01/2008 22:30

night night all. See you all tomorrow. I have another driving lesson (the bane of my life) tomorrow at 8.30am.

xx

elkiedee · 04/01/2008 22:36

tcmummy, I don't know what D weighs, think it might not be quite as much as yours but going on that way - he was 20 lbs some weeks ago and I packed up his 6-9 month clothes (mostly up to 21 lbs) just before Christmas and took 9-12 months with us. I don't think he's that fat for his age, just long and quite sturdy and strong with it. Carrying him and keeping him in one spot to change him are getting to be tough though!

He's one of the youngest babies due in April too, exactly 8 months today. He woke up at 4 am and I suggested to dp he wanted to celebrate (born at 4.29 am). From the stats thread he started off as one of the smaller babies at 7 lbs 7 oz though there were quite a few smaller, despite his tardiness. dp and I are both short people who could lose a few pounds, and several people have expressed surprise at D's size in proportion to me.

runny, I rather liked the letter you wanted to write. I hope you can find a way to make it clear to your boss that not being paid properly now and when you were on ml, as well as the low morale and him clearly messing others around, are reasons for you to be leaving. Best of luck, whatever you do.

AngeG · 04/01/2008 22:37

Night AM, good luck for the driving lesson.

WCL - Bless you all sleeping in one room, glad it's all fixed now.

elkiedee · 04/01/2008 22:40

Brrrrr WCL, glad you have heating again now. When I was 10 my mum, stepdad and little brother and I moved house in November - my mum was 2/3 months pregnant and very very sick with it and we all had to live in the only room which had an electric fire for a while (not sure how long).

CaptainDyson · 04/01/2008 22:48

Goodness me, WCL - hope it is all sorted now. xx

Night, Auntie - All the best with the driving lesson. I only passed in March this year and I am soooo glad I did! Even if my driving does still leave much to desired (just ask Pillock )

Poor P - she has a dreadful cough and DD2 has been very unsettled this evening as well - illness is rife atm, yuk

Not, it is not 12th night, but it is a special "recycle your Christmas Tree" thing tomorrow so I want to get it done now ....

AngeG · 04/01/2008 22:50

I have noticed this evening while bathing Izzy that she has really sore and red armpits Anyone got any great tips of how to make it better, I have been drying it thoroughly, but is it best to put cream on it and if so what cream? Jake never suffered with this so I'm a bit clueless.

CaptainDyson · 04/01/2008 22:51

Gosh, Ange, I am not sure - definitely srying them effcientely should help - maybe just simple Aqueous Cream or Aveeno cream would help. Perhaps see your GP. P's bum is v.sore atm, she looks like she has a blister on either cheek, most odd.
