Good work on the refund Elkie!
All those poorly little babes - I can't keep up with who's got what - do hope everyone's back to bouncing health by Christmas.
Good news here today - dh has a job offer he is accepting Phewwwwwwwwwwwww!
Nothing else to report really - have to go bath B in a minute - she is a nightmare to change as well - just like dd1 - with her we used to use our elbows to hold her down!
Small boast - dd2 has made us a the most gorgeous Christmas card at school and such beautiful writing inside
Thanks for all the fridge info - IMBM must have her head in her hands - but it's been most enlightening - Bosch it is I think - now all we need is the house....

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 18/12/2007 18:11

Maveta - you can try olbas oil on the sheet/on a nearby cloth/in the bath - can you get that out there?

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 18/12/2007 18:14

Salt water nasal drops.

Karvol capsules, for their nightwear. A couple of drops.

Vicks vapour rub, for chest, back, feet (with socks on top).

Calpol/tixlix air vapouriser, uses batteries. To be used during the night.

Medised if you can get it. Beats everything else hands down.

Is that supportive enough ??

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 18/12/2007 18:16

Hi pinions - how are you today?

Got to go bath B

fpesha · 18/12/2007 18:16

Hello

Managed to get lots of lovely cheap things in town so think I'm finished buying things for the dc, although still a few more bits ti get for others. Was a good girl and got an outfit for sil's baby that is just the sort of thing she dresses them in and was half price so makes me look more generous than I am!

Got some really lovely books from the market that were 3 for £5, nathans one is called 'pooh, was that you bertie?' about a dog trumping all over the place ok prob not the best book but he will love it

Cant seem to find any nice hats and gloves sets for them all though. Well some lovely ones in monsoon but way too expensive D's 6-12 month hats are too small I always knew he had a big head

Nathan is sulking cos jamie is off to football training and he wants to go too. He doesnt want to stay with mummy Jamie said he cant go cos he has to go straight to work after so now N wants to go to Daddy's work and will sleep in the car Bless him, i wouldn't mind if he went too

Um...Cant remember what anyone else said

Except alpha mummies I reckon WO is abit of a closet Alpha too

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 18/12/2007 18:19

I'm fine

fpesha · 18/12/2007 18:20

Lol huge x post.

Was going to recommend a few hings for you Maveta but think Pinions has pretty much covered it all! I have some Little Me chest rub which actually seems to work really well on D and isnt nearly as strong as vicks type things.

NL - YAY at dh getting a job - what fantastic news just before christmas!!

ElfPolarBear · 18/12/2007 18:34

I am going out for dinner!!!!!! Very excited!!!!! Just popped in to say hello before I go .....

Pinions ( I think it was covered everything I would have suggested, Maveta - She's vying for SOL's "Walking Drug's Cabinet" title, clearly!!!

Night all. xxxx

fpesha · 18/12/2007 19:33

Ooooh have fun dippy

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 18/12/2007 19:49

I am SO happy My sister is an absolute star!

She is lending me her car for however long I need it, couple of months if I need it wow

We might end up buying it but it's a 3 door so will see how we get on with it first, but it's taken the pressure off accepting the insurance companies offer and the threat of taking the hire car away(or paying for it) before we get another car.

Feel so relieved.

fpesha · 18/12/2007 19:53

Oh thats fab Eddas! YAY for your sis

Anyone else got any good news? Seems to be the day for it!!

notgoodtiming · 18/12/2007 19:57

I have since done another test and I am still pregnant. Getting over the shock a bit, still lots of unanswered questions but going to doctors on Friday.

Octo - due 7 August I think as a guesstimate

iMustBeMad · 18/12/2007 20:07

Ladies. I have an issue.
Ex boyfriend from long time ago, works in nightclub so see him on the odd night out.
He's turning a bit stalkerish, he sent me a text (i have the same number) asking for my address to send a card. Seemed innocent enough. I come home today and in the post there is a card.
"to the one I love"

wtf do I say to that????!!!!!!
he's text me saying to text if I want him to come round, I have replied and politely declined saying I have loads to do tonight

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 18/12/2007 20:09

must be the effect you have on men, bless him. Not sure what you can do really, apart from what you did! Watch out though he might come to yours

iMustBeMad · 18/12/2007 20:11

I did wonder when there was a knock on the door just now, put the chain on before I answered it with excuses ready

was ok though, was a friend of the family delivering presents

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 18/12/2007 20:13

Phew!

I had my first carol singer tonight Poor lad, was on his own(probably aged 11) I just laughed, nervously, then shut the door WTF are you supposed to do with them. Never had them round as a child as you didn't get them where we lived >
