EPB we always have christmas day to ourselves - dh is usually working anyway!
He was supposed to have the day off this year, but his help has cancelled it so am quite but guess it can't be helped!
hope you feel better soon.

lol dippy don't know about shutting them in a big fridge, but might hide in there myself if it wasn't so cold.

tcmumy i didn't realise you lived in norfolk - where abouts are you? (i'v probably asked you before and forgotten! )

tcmummy · 18/12/2007 11:57

Hi MJ. Thankfully T has decided the inhaler mask thing is the best teether ever and so he's not freaked too much about it yet.

christmascrackerboldy · 18/12/2007 12:03

and hope little t is better soon x

Maveta · 18/12/2007 12:04

lol at alphamummy I´m more just what´s called in spanish ´un culo inquieto´ (restless bum)

SecretSantafornormabutty · 18/12/2007 12:05

I am winging my way to you today, on my next day delivery sleigh, so I should be in your hands tomorrow!

jingleoooggs · 18/12/2007 12:12

christmascrackerboldy · 18/12/2007 12:15

jingleooogs so has my ds3 just back from the docs half an hour ago!

Bramshott · 18/12/2007 12:31

Blimey I seem to have missed some drama! As others have said, this thread is such a supportive place, let's agree to leave our disagreements next to the keyboard and try very hard not to judge anyone or their actions.

Okay, so I have made the mammoth 'to do before Christmas list' and am about a quarter of the way through it! Makes me relax to have it all on a list though (what does that say about me?!). N breaks up tomorrow lunchtime, so Christmas starts here! She was very sweet as Mary on Friday - took it all sooooo seriously!

Probably won't be on here much over the festive period, so wishing you all a lovely, happy, sleep-filled, calm and peaceful Christmas! See you in the New Year!

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 18/12/2007 12:43

Merry Christmas Bramshott Have a wonderful time xx

Poor little ones with mucky eyes F has crusty eyes but I think it is more from her wiping the snot from her nose then sticking her fingers around her eyes - nice. She is still full of cold and generally miserable, she just looks glassy eyed and knackered. Was up to her 6 times last night and I am just not used to that any more.

Sexmasonlegs · 18/12/2007 12:53

Hi all, just on quickly as am at work. It is my last day before the new year and tbh I am so so bored.

Bramshott, have a great christmas x

Hope all these poorly babes are feeling better soon.

MJ, hope you can get a break today - 6 times sounds hellish .xx

Maveta, cannot get over N doing 90% of his poos on the loo! He must have a regukar pattern then!

Elf, sorry that you and dh came to blows to day. Christmas is such an awful time for family politics and arguments. x

OK fpesha??

K is a pain for being changed too. As soon as she is on her back she rolls over. I just give her something to play with and that seems to do the trick.

All ok here. Dh off work feeling rough as a badgers ar**. Feel quite sorry for him tbh after being less than compassionate yesterday!

Sorry I haven't mentioned many people - feel a bit guilty for being on here! I will have to give myself a written warning for misuse of the company IT system!!

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 18/12/2007 13:09

F has been sleeping for 1.5 hours. She never ever does this in the day. Hoping she is catching up on lost sleep from the last few nights I feel a bit lost actually, not used to having this much time to myself! Have sorted a few pressies out, sorted the washing, put away the ironing, washed the dishes. Hey Maveta, watch out, you have competition for alpha mummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 18/12/2007 13:10

AND, I am having a hot (yes hot) cup of tea in my new santa mug Oh its festive here all right!!

Sexmasonlegs · 18/12/2007 13:31

Ahh MJ, bless your heart. Enjoy your hot tea petal.

ElfPolarBear · 18/12/2007 13:32

oi sol you've had one warning today already
if you're not careful you'll be hauled up infront of hr

OP posts:
mammyjounderthemistletoe · 18/12/2007 13:33

Not busy today then SOL?!

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 18/12/2007 13:34

That written warning is being typed right now!!!

Sexmasonlegs · 18/12/2007 13:38

I am so bored! Makes me regret even more not going for the other job

I shall type my final written warning now - in fact, I may even suspend myself on full pay whilst I investigate!!!!!

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 18/12/2007 13:45

Ooh, full pay is good

F has just woken up after a mammoth sleep and is chirping away in her cot so hopefully I am in for a brighter afternoon!

Maveta · 18/12/2007 14:34

very impressive mj I´ve kind of stalled since though... how is it that no matter how much I do there is still so much left to be done??!

N is asleep again.. so far today he´s slept 7-9am (started the day before 6am as usual) 11.30-12.30 and now it´s 3.30 and he´s gone down again. Happy days.

SOL - not so much that he has a pattern just that whenever I change him I pop him on the loo for a few seconds, it´s immediately obvious if he´s going to do something and if not, and he starts playing with his toes, I whip him off again. I definitely think he makes the association now though, if he needs to go as soon as his bum touches the seat he starts pushing lol

runnyhabbit · 18/12/2007 15:13

afternoon ladies

Well, I'm only in work tomorrow morning, then I'm off til 2nd Jan Should be in work on Friday morning, but have told them I have an "appointment" Not a complete lie, just its an interview appointment lol

at an alphamummy in our midst although dh has told me on more than one occassion, he thinks I am a yummy mummy

W is still full of snot, although not waking too much in the night. Its such a shock to the system when they wake in the night.

elkiedee · 18/12/2007 16:32

LOL at SOL.

EPB, I hope you and your (d?)h are feeling better about things now, sorry you're having such a stressful time.

I had the alarming experience of more than 12 hours offline - the internet went down last night and at first I thought mumsnet had gone into some sort of post/thread deletion crisis and then realised it was even more serious. Still not working this morning, and then I finally noticed the modem was working on the way out this morning.

Have finally clawed my refund back from Homebase.

Have only had a chance to do thread catch up and post since my dad is round for a little while, guess I should go and make tea (cups of) now and then think about giving D his tea. dp is working late tonight, home about 10 pm but then he just has 2 days left at work and we have 1 day to organise ourselves before we set off for Ilkley.

D has just pulled out lots of stuff from the desk again, see you later!

DippyChristmas · 18/12/2007 17:54

Maveta · 18/12/2007 18:06

ok well a very restless baby is in his cot but it isn´t sounding too promising..

he´s very snotty and snuffly and full of cold, can any of you recommend medicines you use that I can ask my sister to bring me when she comes out this week? All I can get here is like calpol i.e. paracetamol which isn´t that much use when he´s not in pain as such but is congested and blocked up. Any recommendations??
