Just popping in to say hi. The builders were back again a lot of the weekend plus dp was working 8-3 today. It's quite difficult to look after D in the house at the moment as he's so determined to play with everything except his toys. So, we've been out quite a bit.

On Thursday I was told about a Christmas parade, a kind of mini carnival, by the children's centre worker who was running the Musical Tots group I finally got to with D for the first time. This is the first year and there were a few hiccups, but I'm glad we learned about it and went along, it's not my usual thing but it was quite fun. We also got a look at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre - well the cafe anyway - named after our local MP who died a few years ago and was quite an interesting character whose legacy anyone and everyone is still keen to claim.

Today I tried to claim a refund from Homebase for the kitchen sink my kitchen was delivered without (yes, really - thank goodness we had a really good bloke putting it in who was able to sort out that problem). Second visit as the dept was on training last time. Realised too late today that my refund can only be sorted out in the delivery company's office hours. Sigh... it's a good thing that Homebase is within walking distance of home, and my dad was with me to help out with D. Then we went to a lovely cafe that's very tolerant of all the things you have to do with a little one in tow.
