Pesha, I think I would go in too, but I do feel really guilty about these things! Like today, I should be in work but feel like crap still full of cold. Also had vile night with F who is also full of cold. I know I am not really well enough to be in work, but it doesnt stop me from feeling guilty for being home IYKWIM.

Oooggs, looking forward to this thread title which has been anticipated for quite some time. It had better be a good one

NL, so pleased to hear about dh getting a job offer. Well done him

Elkie, hope you managed to drink your coffee while it was still hot.

Eddas, what a star your sister is letting you loan her car. Now you can concentrate on fighting with the insurance company

CD, congrats to your dh's cousin on little Noah xx

Maveta, I use cammomile teething powders which are quite good (from boots), and I also like Bonjela.

Last but not least, thanks to Liath for arranging the secret santa. My pressie was fab

Er told her a couple weeks ago I needed more hours and finding it very difficult to find a job that fitted in, she was very keen to keep me on so i told her to assume i wasnt coming back and look for someone else but I would keep looking for ways to stay if I could. Told her monday I'd still found nothing so def not coming back.

I would like reference but only been there like a month or so so not sure how much use it would be anyway.

DippyChristmas · 19/12/2007 11:07

Yes - I'd 2nd the reference thing - otherwise, skive!

Well done Ellie getting in early.

D woke up just before 12 and went back to sleep finally at about 2.30. He did sleep until about 7.30 just after dp had gone to work, just as well because dp ignored his alarm and we slept until 6.30, so I was having a bath when dp should have left the house with crossed fingers that D would stay asleep until I finished.

D now down for a nap - I'm learning to plan feeds/buggy etc so as to fit in with the likelihood of sleep just under 3 hours after waking and take advantage of anything from 15 minutes up - hoping it lasts more than 10 minutes so far - so I'm going to attempt to have a second coffee while it's hot and eat my breakfast.

Oh and while I remember did anyone else watch 'help me love my baby?' Thought they were fantastic programmes, very brave of the 2 women to admit to not loving their babies as its still a very taboo (not sure thats the word I want really but cant think of another!) subject. And a really wonderful therapist, lovely with the babies. Still haven't finished watching the 2nd one though as recorded it.

D is asleep yet I'm still sat watching the baby channel

Hiya fpesha.

Do you want them to give you a reference? When did you put your notice in?

Good luck at the clinic (or wherever it is you go!) SOL.

My dc dont break up till friday which means nor do I Trying to think of a good excuse to scive on friday but I already had monday and yesterday off as dp also has man flu but still has to go to work at night after using so much of his sick pay on his knee so he made me stay home so he didnt have to get up!!

I'm not going back there in Jan cos its just too awkward to fit other jobs around

SO does that mean -

a) I've quit anyway so it doesnt really matter if I dont go Friday I should finish my xmas shopping while I haven't got dc with me (no time to go shops and feed d before/after work) or

b) Its my last day so I really should make the effort?

What do you think ladies??

Report
fpesha · 19/12/2007 10:49

Oh yes I did read that just forgot

Ok thanks, ended up giving D calpol and a feed, had him back to sleep by midnight and he slept till 7! And dp was home by then so I did nt even have to get of bed to get him

Unfortunately he is now falling asleep feeding and I was going to try and keep him awake so he'd sleep while I'm at work like monday

How are you my dear?

Hi all - quiet on here today!

Dippy, glad you enjoyed your meal out.

Hope you are not too bored at work today Maveta and IMBM?!!

Dh is off poorly still and feeling v sorry for himself. K is supposed to be having a nap, and B is at school for the last day. So drinking Mocha and eating a chocolate croissant. Life is hard!

Hope everyone is ok, and those with poorly babes are soon back to good health.

Getting K weighed today. I figure that if she hasn't put on weight (which I don't think is the case) then there must be something up, cos she is eating loads. So, I would rather know and deal with it iykwim.

Right, chores to do. Back later. x

Right in the middle of my shin so I can't even hide it
still, I don't think he's looking at that

Just a suggestion, but can we wait for Oooggs before we start a new thread? She's had the title she won't tell us in her head for 2 new ones so far and would be with us if she misses it again!!!!
